Summary
Lambert is tired of Aiden's promiscuous antics, especially when they were turned away from the town's local brothel. When he slams his friend against a wall and demands to know why he's such a brat, he doesn't expect Aiden get horny about it.
Aiden has been wanting Lambert in his pants since he met the Wolf, but he wasn't going to just ask his friend to fuck him. Flirty jokes and the gruff glares were enough. He doesn't expect Lambert to manhandle him into a wall and kiss him, pressing buttons in Aiden's mind that tell him to just submit and relax for once.
They're pent up, they share a room, they can fuck out their emotions. But no feelings attatched, of course.

Summary
Twenty years ago, the Warlord of the North came down out of the mountains and slew the king of Kaedwen, taking crown and kingdom for his own. Everyone expected him to be overthrown almost immediately, but he has only grown ever more secure in his position. Finally, the other countries around Kaedwen have begun to negotiate with him as they would any other king.
To seal the new treaty between Redania and the Warlord, Lady Milena de Roggeven, third daughter of the Duke of Roggeven, has been sent to marry whichever of the Warlord’s men he chooses.
Milena is starkly terrified of everything about her new husband; every rumor she has ever heard about the barbarians of the north seems worse than the last, and Lambert clearly despises the very thought of marriage.
Lambert of the Wolves is still grieving his lost lover, dead more than three years now. The last thing he wants is to be married off to a terrified stranger, and he can’t imagine why Geralt and Eskel think he of all people is suited to a diplomatic marriage.
And neither of them suspects the treachery that lies behind the treaty which binds them together.

The barn smells like shit.
Lambert glares at the frozen ground, the frost creeping over the dirt floor. The dirt is frozen, which means the shit on the dirt is frozen, which means winter is crawling closer, day by day. Which means heading north.
It also means that the boy who showed him to the barn to sleep in can't shovel the shit out of the barn because it's stuck fast. Hence the smell. A chicken chirrs from the rafters above, and fluffs itself up, nestling closer to its flock, roosted and tucked close for warmth.
Tucked close for warmth. There's a thought.
