“Go.” She said, not quite yelling but suddenly intense as she herded Harry back, away from the pillar and towards the tracks. “Go now, boy, or you’ll miss your train!”
He looked behind his shoulder, there was a train....he hadn’t heard it approach. The doors were open and waiting, and for no good reason at all, he stepped inside. The strange little woman didn’t follow him on, she simply stood there watching him. that same incomprehensible smile on her face.
“Which path will you choose?” She asked again, just before the doors closed, replacing his view of her with his own, pale reflection.

Sirius was gone, and Harry's world was crumbling through his fingers. All he wanted was a little peace, just a moment to himself.
Maybe it was a wish come true.
Maybe it was just the machinations of a strange little witch and her enchanted locket.

There was another student here.
Tom recognized him vaguely—while transfer students were not necessarily uncommon due to the war, they were rare enough to at least make an impression. This particular transfer student was in his year, sorted into Ravenclaw after an impressively long hat stall. He looked like he might be descended from the Potter line, but he did not share the surname so his lineage was of no particular interest to Tom. Nothing about him was of particular interest to Tom, in fact, and yet here he stood, holding the book that Tom had come here to find.
It would be a good time to turn away. The Restricted Section was restricted for a reason—only books documenting extremely dangerous or extremely advanced magic were stored here.
Tom’s feet, however, suddenly felt as if they were made of lead. It wasn’t magic keeping him tied down, but something far more mysterious like curiosity or even fate. In any case, the delay was all it took for the Ravenclaw to lift his chin and meet Tom’s eyes.
This Ravenclaw, Tom realized, had eyes as blindingly green as the Killing Curse.

As Dahlia lied there, on some random Carrow estate, she began to seize. She thought about how odd it was that Amycus did not come immediately to his sister's aid. How he must have come to the back and maybe seen her flask. How, as a last ditched effort, he must have put something in it that her pendant hadn't detected. How Luna may have seen something like this coming.
She thought how absolutely disappointed Moody was going to be when she met him on the other side.
Dahlia's seizing slowed as her limbs became rigid and her lungs stuttered to a stop. Her vision turned fully white and she lost all feeling of her body... when she finally heard it. She hoped it was a hallucination but had a sneaking suspicion that she was not that lucky.
"Hello, Mistress," a gravelly voice crooned.
Dahlia Potter, now an adult, was a lot less naive about the world and a lot more jaded with the way things were. After dying violently on the job, meeting Death, and returning to her younger body, she has a chance to change the past.
With no intention of blindly following everyone else's plans, she is going to change everything. And she doesn't mind if she has to get her hands dirty. In fact, she hopes she does.
