House parties in America are glamorized.
If you'd ask anyone outside of that country to visualize it, it’d be a pretty easy image to conjure up. Flashing lights, music loud enough to make the foundations of a house shake. Laughter and mindless drunk chatter echoing through every room, settling into the crevices. Intoxicated teenagers on the verge of giving themselves alcohol poisoning, making out, having sex, or whatever normal teenagers do. A wallflower or two, maybe even a sweet heart to heart in a quiet corner of the house.
An absolute nightmare for someone like Kim Dokja.
He would be the last person to ever attend a party. Hell, the last one to even get invited to one. If he had to make a decision between having to bump shoulders with sweaty, drunk pubescent teens or eat fiberglass, he’d book a cab to the emergency room in advance.
So why is he here?

Kim Dokja bonds with his friends, goes to a party, gets drunk, spills a drink on somebody, and gets fingerblasted in a bathtub.

Jean knocks on the door. It feels a little strange to do so, when it has been her office for the past years but her manners won't allow her to just storm in without notice. But she does not wait for an answer (she's fast but Varka is faster, if he decides to run) and pushes the door open.
There’s a chance that Varka isn't even there anymore.“Grandmaster, these documents all need your… signature…?”
She falters mid sentence. The office isn't empty.
That's good, that's more than she expected. But what stills her in her steps isn't Varka's presence - it is the fact that he is not alone.
