“You’re a shepherd, you know stress can cause them to lose the lamb,” Beorn said frankly, “you won’t find any pasture safer than this for them to lamb in.”
Despite the fact he’d said it plainly, Fray’s brows rose in surprise.
It sounded to her, like this man was willing to let her flock –and by extension, herself– remain within his lands while the ewes had their lambs, and while those lambs gained weight. But she could end up being here for months. At least another week needed to pass before the ewes would start giving birth, and then almost four more months for the lambs to gain enough weight to make the return journey north.
“I don’t want to be a problem,” Fray said slowly, “this is your home we’re intruding on.”
“Stay.”*
As a shepherdess, Fray is accustomed to roaming far and wide as she protects her flock from predators, and ensures their timely return to market. So despite finding herself facing down the largest bear she’s ever seen, Fray holds her ground, only to be utterly taken by surprise as that bear turns into… a man?

Summary
Her hairs are standing at the back of her neck, her skin prickles all over.
She dresses quickly, her heart now pounding harder in her chest. Maybe she’s having a heart attack.
When she exits the laundry room dressed someone grabs her harshly, an arm wrapping around her neck. She’s pushed into the wall hard and she whimpers. Her body is caged in by someone much larger and stronger, her back against someone’s chest. She tries to claw at the arm pinning her by the throat, knowing the person could strangle her easily.
“I thought I was goin’ crazy.”
She thinks her entire world ends. It’s the man from the store, who’s helped her more than anyone ever has. And this is how she’s been treating him. Repaying by breaking into his home, stealing his food, using his personal space as her own.
She thinks now the devil wants to collect.

Summary
Outward appearances can be deceiving, some people know that more than others. If you work for S.H.I.E.L.D you know that all too well. With the Avengers initiative it's common for one to doubt the capabilities of its members by a simple glance. The hammer of almighty Thor proves to be very godlike, the titanium alloy suit of one Ironman struts its many striking features, the shield of the infamous Captain shows to be unlike any other metal, but one member of this team has a more deceptive shell than the others. Bruce Banner is the Hulk, and not many can tell from looking at him.
Dr. Banner returned to the helicarrier before anyone and stayed there longer because of a certain subject he was asked to study, but this subject has an even more effective camouflage than even he. Upon first inspection he thought he was looking at a flower, but he found a beast residing within. Caged, alone, filled with hatred... Does he actually have feelings for this creature? Will this determine his loyalty?
