Patton Hart, a traveler and aspiring witch, stumbles into Logan Berry, the most famous witch in all the lands, during his travels through the Enchanted Forest. Logan reluctantly takes Patton on as his apprentice, unknowingly opening a door for a close connection to form.
Roman Sanders III, king of the Enchanted Forest, is bored out of his mind. He’s alone in the huge castle, with only Thomas, a butler desperate for Roman to act like the king he is, for company. Roman wants nothing to do with royalty. He just wants to be a human.
This is the story about what happens when four hopelessly gay people unhappy in their assigned roles and lives find each other on a quest to be happy. Romance, adventures, and shenanigans ensue. And dragons. Lots of dragons. -

“Bringing our best friends back home,” says Bucky.
“Your best—” Karli’s eyes go wide. “What, OG Captain America and…?”
“Natasha,” finishes Sam. “The Black Widow.”
“I thought they were dead,” she says. Her face scrunches up into a dubious expression. “Don’t tell me the tabloids are actually right and Steve Rogers has been on the moon.”
“Not on the moon, no, but they are in outer space, and they probably need an extraction from a sticky situation, or a ride back home,” says Sam. “So we’re taking a little space road trip to go pick ‘em up.”
On a space road trip to bring Steve and Natasha back home, Sam, Bucky, and Karli start to figure out just what kind of superheroes they want to be, and Sam and Bucky figure out what kind of life they want to build with a family that includes Steve and Natasha again.

A year after the helicarriers go down, Sam finds not the Winter Soldier, but Bucky Barnes, who's trying his best to live and not just survive while on the run. Sam finds him and keeps finding him, and eventually, Sam finds himself too.

Sam turns it over in his head for a long moment. Swallows hard. Rubs his palms across his thighs.
“Okay,” he says, looking away. “Do you believe in ghosts, man?”
Bucky laughs, the asshole.
Sam has been haunted all his life. This is the first time he's ever thought of telling anyone about it.

Sam meets Steve Rogers and Bucky Barnes on a Thursday night, at a burlesque show, and how it happens is this:
It's already late, later than he should be out on a weeknight, but the theme of the show was a super hero revue and there was no way he was gonna miss that. It's loud in the venue, which is the back space of what probably used to be a warehouse right near the Gowanus Canal, and Sam's already had a few. He's up at the bar during the break, watching the act. He doesn't hear someone say, "Behind!" so when he steps away from the bar, he smashes right into the guy who'd just done the Captain America routine up on stage, and knocks his drinks to the ground.

Summary
Dana Scully never expected to live forever. Fighting against the clock for answers, cures, and capital T Truth, college life turns into government conspiracies, aliens, and things that lurk in the dark. Scully's never believed in monsters, but sometimes knowledge isn't infallible, and even the most hardened truths can be fickle.
