The words tore out of Ilya with such loud, explosive force, he even startled himself with it, taking a step back and leaning his back against the door.
The world stopped spinning for a whole minute.
Shane blinked slowly, wrecking his brain like he misheard. “You… loved me?”
or, in which hockey prodigy Shane and Russian figure skater Ilya, who first met at an athlete development program for teenagers, collide again at the Olympics after years of not seeing each other. There, they are forced to confront who they almost were... to each other.
The ice holds memory, and some things refuse to stay frozen - because maybe, just maybe, they're not yet done with each other after all.
