A Breaking Dawn rewrite where Bella realizes her relationship with Edward was solely bloodlust, co-dependency, trauma bonding, low self-esteem, and predator/prey physical and mental hypnosis. She runs at the altar, goes through hell with trauma, learns to love herself, chooses humanity, and chooses Jacob. This is a character-focused and wolfpack-focused fic that leans into the psychological horror potential of Twilight. It is an angsty, agonizing slowburn. The Cullens are not cast in a good light. Dual POV of Bella and Jacob. This is what Breaking Dawn SHOULD HAVE BEEN, to me, anyway. NOVEMBER 2025 UPDATE: For years, I've wanted to edit this story. I learned so much about writing and knew I could make this story so much better. This fic has a special spot in my heart. I think it might be my favorite because it isn't what you initially expect it to be and has a great Everlark HEA ending. It's part sad, Capitol prostitute, part spy-thriller, part rebellion, love story. All of that is my long-winded way of saying that I'm currently working on rewriting this story. UPDATE COMPLETED.
