“Are you dying?” he asks once he put the document back down and if Satoru hid a terminal illness from him, he’s going to help things along with his bare hands.
“No! No, it’s not quite so serious,” Satoru tries to reassure Suguru, but it’s not very believable, not with that Suguru just read.
“Then you better explain yourself, because this,” Suguru jabs the document as if it personally offended him, “is not something I want to see ever again.”
“Ah, but with today’s signature it will be put into effect immediately. We’re mostly just here to figure out your assets, how you should best handle everything and all the legal stuff that comes with owning that much, you know?” Satoru says and Suguru slams his hand on the table.
“Satoru, what the hell is going on? You can’t just simply—you’re transferring everything to me. Everything. All your money, your trust funds, your real estate, your cars, the shares of the company. Everything.” Suguru feels like that bears repeating. “What the hell is going on?”

Summary
“That guy wasn’t asking you for directions,” Suguru mildly says, because he just knows that this went right past Satoru.
“What? Of course he wanted to know, he asked about the main station,” Satoru gives back and Suguru sighs, before he points towards the huge ass sign right across the street that points towards the main station.
“Huh,” Satoru says. “What did he want, then?”
“He was hitting on you,” Suguru informs him and he’s proud that his voice doesn’t sound as bitter as he feels.
At least he now has confirmation that Satoru doesn’t intentionally ignore his flirting attempts; by now, Suguru is convinced that Satoru wouldn’t know he was being flirted with if Suguru should state it outright.
“He was what?”

“Always? Even in moments like this?” he wonders, and fights the urge to card his fingers through Satoru’s hair. It wouldn’t mean anything anyway, if Suguru can’t touch him.
“Yeah.”
What a lonely existence, Suguru thinks to himself.

Summary
Suguru takes a second curse as soon as he sat down next to the toilet and swallows that, too, a third following quickly.
Satoru watches him, completely enraptured by the sight and it’s only when Suguru glares at him that he realises that he’s staring.
“What are you looking at?” Suguru bites out and Satoru presses his lips together so the immediate answer of ‘You’ doesn’t slip out.
In all honesty, though, Satoru wouldn’t even know how to put it into words, what it is he’s looking at, what he wants. Because how do you explain to your best friend that you might be fantasising about turning into a curse yourself just so that he can swallow you whole, so that you can live inside of him, safely nestled in his cursed energy.
The thought alone makes Satoru blush; there’s no way he could ever say those words to Suguru.
