Summary
This series explores two intertwined narratives: the adventures of time-traveling Obi-Wan and the reactions from the core, particularly the Jedi. It presents a Jedi-positive perspective but challenges the traditional notion of Jedi training. The series questions the importance of time in training versus the impact of experiences on a Jedi's potency. Drawing on examples from Legends, canon, and games, I posit that the skills of a Jedi could be taught to adults/teenagers in a relatively short time. It’s the mastery of self that would take the most time, and ultimately why the late-modern Republic’s Jedi training started with children.

Jaster Mereel expected politics when he traveled to Coruscant to negotiate The Concord of Kyr'amur, a treaty intended to end generations of conflict between the Jedi Order and the Mandalorian Empire through intergenerational bonds.
He did not expect to meet the sweetest little Jedi child in the galaxy.
He definitely did not expect to meet his Kara-blessed Riduur.
Now Jaster has several problems:
Little Obi-Wan Kenobi is adorable.
Jango and Obi-Wan are treaty-bonded.
The Jedi appear emotionally unwell in deeply concerning ways.
And Obi-Jules— healer, emotional support cryptid, and living embodiment of Light itself— somehow has absolutely no idea she is being aggressively courted.Jaster Mereel has survived war, politics, and more assassination attempts than he can count.
Yet he still led the Mandalorian Empire to victory, time and time again.
Surely winning the heart of one oblivious Jedi can't be harder than that.
...Right?

-Redirecting a tank blast,
-Rescuing a dying Mand’alor,
-Discovering the Darksaber is screaming,
-Beheading a terrorist in front of several hundred Mandalorians,
-Accidentally finding her soulmate in the middle of a battlefield.Unfortunately for Renee, the Force has excellent timing and absolutely no respect for emotional preparedness.
Meanwhile, Mand’alor Jaster Mereel is having a truly terrible day.
