“Ah—that’s!” Yuji slapped a hand over his left cheek. For some reason his face felt hot. “It was never supposed to be anything serious! Just a joke!”
“Okay, wife.” Megumi brought a hand to Yuji’s face. “Be sure to fit the role, since it’s so comical.” His fingertips caressed the curve of Yuji’s jaw, down the line of his throat. “I want everyone to get a nice laugh.”
Yuji’s brain shortcuts, like the word cut a wire and both halves were sparking. Everything was stuck in repeat; replay. His eyes kept drifting upwards to see the plushness of Megumi’s bottom lip. How it curved and moved to form the “w” that puckered his lips into the perfect kissing position.
OR
If Yuji had a choice for his future, he'd prefer to not have an early death. He had dreams to get married and travel the world. He should have just kept his mouth shut: never swallowing that stupid finger, never talking to Megumi! Now these strange feelings kept stirring up in his chest and he didn't know what to do with them.
