Summary

A/N
This is a reverse Isekai on what might happen for Karlach and a few of the other characters reactions if they were brought to Earth. The title is from Sir Arthur C. Clarkes 3rd law which states, "Any technology sufficiently advanced is indistinguishable from magic". Since the world of Baldurs Gate is replete with magic, it's an interesting notion to explore how the natives of Faerun would react to our world.
This continues the romance between Karlach and Tal (I renamed my protagonist). It picks up not long after the epilogue party. Slow building, romance, revelations, candid intimate scenes culminating in world and realms altering events.

Second, the Maquis ship pulled into the Delta Quadrant wasn't Chakotay's, but rather a newly-"acquired" Maquis ship, captained by the former Lieutenant Ro and a different group of Maquis.
