Ned doesn't go south, Tywin becomes hand, Baelish gets caught and executed and the realm is at relative peace. This story takes place a few years after the King's visit North in 302 AC. Catelyn Stark watches her husband ride north to the Wall and feels only relief. Seventeen years of unilateral decisions, silenced desires, and a marriage hollowed to ritual have left her simmering with resentment. When she discovers Jon Snow bathing at her secret hot spring, a buried wildness, one she thought died with Brandon Stark at Riverrun, claws its way to the surface. She begins a calculated seduction: replacing her dismissed handmaiden with the bastard boy, escalating physical intimacy under the guise of duty, and binding him with a fabricated oath of absolute obedience. The raven came informing them of Lord Domeric’s death. Less than two moons later, Ned watched a woman of eight and ten namedays be declared heir by her father and she swore an oath to him before a weirwood that she would be loyal to her liege and his heir, call the banners when needed, offer council when asked and dispense the King’s Justice in the name of House Stark. Ned lost a good daughter and gained a bannerman.
Once betrothed to Robb Stark to be the next Lady of Winterfell, Lady Rana Bolton is made the heir apparent to the Dreadfort after the death of her brother Domeric. However, when King Robert Baratheon visits the North to name Eddard Stark his Hand, far from home, she learns that her father is dead and her bastard half brother has usurped her position.

Catelyn, having been hustled off to Storm's End, spends a year trying to warm her husband's heart and eating rats, then spends many years navigating Robert and Cersei. A lot of pettiness ensues.
AKA What if Ned had a wife he chose and she actually forgave him and loved Jon as her own son, and what if Stannis had a wife he actually liked?

This story is not connected to the others in Love Eventually.
It's an Arya/Sandor love story in which they find and love each other even if they made drastically different choices than in the book.
Arya is 15 when she meets the Hound when King Robert visits Winterfell (s1e1). It's a regular visit, Robert doesn't ask Ned to be his Hand. Arya talks her father into allowing her to go with them on a royal boar hunt. A landslide separates her from the rest of the Hunt, everyone starts looking for her. The Hound is the one to find her. They spend a cold night together, sheltering from the rain.
A few years later, they meet again on their way from King's Landing toward the Wall. Arya had spent that time disguised as a man of the Night Watch, and the Hound had become a Faceless Man.
The truth behind the masks reveals itself, and on their way to the Wall, they must deal with their feelings and growing mutual attraction.
Smut shall happen. Graphically, in chapter 13. If you come from ff dot net, that's where the difference is.
