Summary
Naomi Byrne is a successful lawyer in a sunny city where she can swim in the ocean every day and is on the opposite side of the country from her ex-husband, Wallace.
She believes she has buried that part of her life completely until one day she receives an unexpected call from Wallace, apologizing for how things went wrong in their marriage and how everything fell apart. Naomi has to go to New York to see if Wallace is having a mental breakdown and if he survives the heart surgery he claims will take twenty minutes.
