It’s possible that Matt, having gone through such a terrible experience with the destruction of that anomaly that nearly destroyed the entire Earth, isn’t the same person anymore. Or maybe that’s not it? For his part, James Lester also has problems; Tamsien, his wife, now knows the exact nature of his work and hasn’t spoken to him in a week. Lester doesn’t know exactly why.
Meanwhile, in Saint Marie, Richard Poole receives a strange call from Matt, who dialed the wrong number. Richard notices that Anderson seems very disoriented.
