Summary
Garth slipped out quietly, trying not to draw the others’ attention. It hurt, a little, that they didn’t notice right away, but he couldn’t blame them. He’d spent most of the day as an awkward fourth wheel, only speaking when spoken to directly, and he knew that wasn’t fun or charming or whatever humans wanted in their friends, but he also couldn’t get over how bright the overhead lights were or how loud everything was without the muffling effect of water flooding his ears or every piece of technology that he’d never seen before but the others all used with ease.
Garth slid through the hallways quickly, glancing back occasionally, paranoid that someone might notice and come after him. Nobody did.

The new Teen Titans team are all gathering at Wayne Manor for a relaxing afternoon. Garth feels lonely even in this group of outcasts.

Summary
Garth opened his mouth to speak, but the words were buried so deep under the mounds of pathetic emotion. Sometimes he wished he could meld his mind with Dick’s, to pour all his thoughts straight in without any filter of anxiety or insecurity. It would certainly make this much easier.
But that would be a cowardly solution. Regardless of his station, Garth refused to be a coward. He’d trained under the King of Atlantis and courted the Prince of Gotham. It might not mean much to Arthur, but that didn’t mean Garth hadn’t learned anything.
So he rolled his shoulders back and he held his head up to look at Dick’s face, even as he had to clasp his hands behind his back to disguise their trembling.
“Mera has given birth to a healthy son. His name is Arthur Jr. He–he has been named Crown Prince of Atlantis. And I have been removed from the Royal Lineage.”

Or, Garth arrives in Gotham for what he expects to be his final time. Dick isn't letting go of him that easily.
