Summary
Father Peter was not a good man. Sure, he was good at looking pious, but Peter’s infatuation with Stiles grew as the boy did. He had been the only priest of a small church in Beacon Hills since before Stiles was born. He’d baptized the boy, watched him grow up, and counselled his family with his mom’s terminal illness. Shortly after her death, Stiles began struggling in school, having panic attacks and discipline issues. His father, the newly elected Sherriff, sought Peter’s counsel. With the Sherriff’s permission, Peter took it upon himself to get the boy an usher position. It placed Stiles directly under Peter, in terms of mentoring the growing boy in a newly single parent household. At least that was how he had presented it to his father, who was all too eager to agree.
Stiles’s visits with Peter quickly grew from twice a week to nearly everyday after school. If you asked Stiles, they were friends, but if you asked Peter, Stiles was prey.
