“You wretched scug!” One of the Gameorrean’s said, gritting his teeth. “Your lucky Gardulla doesn’t want to kill you- yet.”
The other creature laughed. “You worthless slave.”
Anakin felt more tears prick his eyes, as the smell of burning coal wafted through his nose. His stomach gurgled as the smell of rotting flesh followed. This was it. He was officially going to become property.
Gardulla’s property. A slave, for the rest of his life.

Anakin has trouble letting go of his past in chains. With the pressure of the war and the constant flashbacks it triggers, it isn’t long before he has a full blown panic attack.
He was prepared for the worst. Well at least, he was before his mother became his reflection.

“Stay still, pretty boy.” The man whispered in Anakin’s ear while his hands ran up and down the boy’s sides. “It’ll hurt less.”
Anakin shivered against the man’s touch. He didn’t want this, he just wanted to go home. He wanted to curl up with his mother and bury his head in her shoulder.
But those luxuries weren’t for slaves.

Physical scars, Anakin came to realize, were easier to leave behind than those weaved into someone’s mind.
And once the truth is let out, there is absolutely no going back. But perhaps, in this circumstance, it was for the better.
Anakin was just lucky to have two great friends to help him through the pain.
