Summary
John should have known that something bad was going to happen when they explored the new planet. It almost always did, but he never could have expected this. Falling out of the sky with no parachute, things weren't looking good for him. It seemed like he'd been transported to Earth, but was it the Earth he knew and who was that handsome guy trying to save him? Tony DiNozzo had just quit his job at NCIS and the possibilities before him were endless. His pondering of what to do now was interrupted when he spotted a guy falling from the sky and decided to try and catch him/save him from certain death.

Summary
Tony is tired of how he’s treated at NCIS and is looking for a new job. John’s divorce from Nancy has been finalized and he’s just found out about Atlantis. He’s not sure he wants to go, but when he realizes he has a bit of leverage since Elizabeth wants him, he uses that leverage to get Tony DiNozzo, a friend from college football, invited to the expedition. Thus begin Tony and John’s adventures in another galaxy both personally and professionally.

When John Sheppard gets added to the roster late in the game due to Dr. Weir's petitioning and his ATA gene, they scramble to find a civilian to partner with him. Daniel Jackson reaches out to his friends in the scientific teaching community, looking for someone willing to explore strange new experiences. Word gets out to one Professor DiNardo and Tony soon finds he has an invitation to Atlantis at just the right time to get him out of a sticky situation at NCIS.
