Summary
He was strapping on his grieves when he saw him for the first time this year. He’d met him loads of times both in the faire circuit and over the winters. He came to visit his mother for planning meetings for the upcoming season, but every year at the start of season was a treat. That first glimpse of his new tunic and robes, their debut on opening day, making a grand impression on the audience.
He’d been pining for him from afar for years now and it was time to do something about it. This was his year. He was going to make a move and pray to anyone listening that it didn't blow up in his face.

Or Kylo and Hux are medieval reenactors and Kylo has had a Thing for him for years. He’s finally worked up the courage to ask Hux for a token to wear in the sword ring.

Summary
It was interesting how traditions changed while at the same time carrying on. The bonfire for example. Originally an event held on the summer solstice, today bonfire night was held on November the fifth, Guy Fawkes Day, and they burned a straw effigy.

Summary
He’d sworn, solemnly sworn, that he would never set foot in that money grubbing sham of an establishment. He’d proclaimed it loudly, he wouldn’t be caught dead in that pit of historical inaccuracy, cheering to an overblown performance by scripted knights.
Medieval Times.
What a disgrace. The owners should be ashamed of themselves.
The Royal Family thought it was funny. And since he was dating the prince, he was obliged to come to family events. No matter how the place chafed.
