Summary
Astarion sauntered over to the grates. “Traps. Whoever this Necromancer was, he didn’t want anyone beyond this door.” His grin was feral as he knelt down. “That means something valuable must be stashed away.”
“Usually. I can’t wait to find out what.” Kerica sounded eager and she hopped over to join him.
“Really. You two are unbelievable. Shouldn’t we leave dangerous things /alone/?” Shadowheart crossed her arms.
Astarion scoffed. “I’m happy to unlock doors and disable traps if it means good treasure.”
Kerica motioned at him as he literally started on the iron bar door once he was done with the fire grate. “See? He gets it.”
Astarion’s lips twitched in mirth, but he had his back to them.

She closed her eyes, unable to stare into his empty red pools. "Slowly. Please, Astarion. I trust you."Nothing happened. Much to her surprise, when she peeked up, some flicker of light had returned. Like they were in a dark hall and a torch was around the corner.
"You do. Don't you?" His hand cupped her jaw and thumbed her bottom lip. "You really shouldn’t, you know.” He murmured, and with the distraction of his touch, she felt him.
“Yet here I am.” Jade rasped, nipping at his thumb.
“Here you are.” He agreed, breathless, eyes hazy, and mouth slackened.

Summary
“Oh? And bring him where, exactly?” Astarion's voice and expression were far more guarded.
“Baldur’s Gate. My people wait for me there.” The stranger tipped his head.
Kerica felt cold. His people. At the city they aimed to reach. Shit. “Only a spawn? Pity. Not like it’s a real vampire.” She said as she tried not to panic while thinking of the best course of action. She was trying to go for ‘wow, doesn’t sound very threatening, nothing to see here’.
The sharp look and curve of Astarion’s lips in a half-snarling smirk sent shivers down her spine and told her that was the wrong thing to say. “I don’t know.” He nearly hissed at her, but somehow managed to keep his usual lilt. Centuries of practice, she was sure right then. “I’m sure a vampire spawn could still rip out your throat if he felt like it.” He smiled, though it was anything but pleasant.
She heard the threat there and grimaced. Fuck.

Summary
He was still just, wide-eyed and dumbfounded by the object in his hands. It felt so warm he could barely stand it. Not hot. Warm. The kind of heat that didn't burn but thawed away at a numb feeling that Astarion hadn't even realized he'd gotten comfortable enough with to stop noticing. Then… …Seasonings?" He asked. A laugh punched out of his gut. "He [Gale] seasoned it? Darling, what with? You're telling me he not only thought to feed a /vampire/ but he seasoned it? He does know we're allergic to garlic and ginger, doesn't he?"
/
His laugh dazed her a little and she blinked a bit, then a light flush colored her cheeks. She rubbed her neck. "He wouldn't do that. It's just some salt and green things. Maybe parsley or thyme? I'm not the cook, he is, but it's not either of those, I swear. I watched him put it in and I tasted it myself. I know what garlic and ginger taste like."
/
As his laughter subsided, Astarion raised the bowl to his lips. He tentatively lowered his tongue to the surface to taste and…Series

Summary
Astarion managed to find a smudge of clay. A sharp grin crossed his face, one that barely betrayed the fangs hiding behind his soft lips, as he turned around to the painting of Vlaakith. A few quick, purposeful strokes. A few small smudges here. "And voila~" Astarion snickered to himself. He had added a mustache and goatee to the austere portrait of the Githyanki God-Queen. "Quick, before someone comes, is there anything else I should add?"
/
"Oh, oh! Maybe devil horns and a monocle?" Kerica was grinning maniacally herself and kept an eye on the hallways for him so they wouldn't get caught. She hadn't expected him to draw on it, but this was great and helped lift her mood.
/
Grin broad across his face, Astarion turned back around, and quickly added the suggested features. He jumped back when he was finished, and retreated back to Kerica's side to admire his work. "There we are. A perfect addition, don't you think?" Astarion quipped.Series

Summary
Rated M for mature talks
---
it became apparent Kerica had long since finished with her tent and had been eagerly listening to what Elminster and Gale were talking about. Things seemed to be going well, at first, and then suddenly, “That’s monstrous! You’re tasking him to kill himself?!” She practically shrieked, the sound echoing off the ruins and she took a step towards the old man.Gale couldn't kill himself. Astarion had started to like Gale! Letting Gale kill himself was going to be an absolute waste of a perfectly good wizard!
Their busy day didn't seem to have an end.
