Summary
Grian is a fae. He's made no secret of it; there's worse secrets to keep, and he has enough of those. Grian is a fae, and nothing more.
But then he hosts a game.
Entertainment is both the players' payment as well their reward. They provide entertainment, and receive it - it's a fair deal. His friends eagerly agree to play, and he, confident in his magic, chooses to join in as well.
He doesn't account for Scar.
Nor does he account for his own still-far-too-human heart.
Grian wins the game. It's a long and arduous task. Grian exists after the game. That, in itself, is no less difficult, despite what he would have originally thought.

Summary
Scar is the kind of person who's drawn to trouble. His friends will laugh and worry about him, but trouble is where he thrives! Life wouldn't be interesting without it.
He fits into Elsewhere University just fine. His silver tongue and quick wit keep him safe as can be. He meddles with magic and strange things; he goes so far as to choose a major that's not even spoken of (for its own students' protection). And then he meets Grian.
Grian is trouble, and Scar - always and inevitably - decides this is the kind of trouble he lives for.

Summary
Three students arrived to the university, one day. They did not look alike, but they claimed to be siblings, and so they were often mistaken for one another due to the similarities.
Everybody knew they were students of the Forbidden Major.
Everybody knew that meant they were doomed.
And it's true, they were doomed. One of them was Taken and came back Wrong. Two of them sought out vengeance and came back exactly like the first.
If you asked them, though, if their ending was one of tragedy - it's likely they would laugh at you for asking such a foolish question.
After all, nothing's really changed.

Summary
Elsewhere University is weird. Or maybe it's the Hermitcraft dormitory that's weird.
Mumbo settles in rather easily. Despite all the traditions that don't make a lot of sense - like the fact that no one's allowed to use their real name - the people themselves don't seem too bad. Nice, even.
