Kyoka stares at Bakugou, at the paleness of his skin and the way he's leaning against the wall for support, and asks, "Are you okay?"
"Of course I am," Bakugou says, sounding both irritated and a little surprised, like he doesn't know why Kyoka is wasting his time with such a stupid question, like the answer should be obvious. "I'm perfectly fucking fine, Ears."
And then he passes out.

Kyoka learns this in the worst way possible.

Summary
There is a gun in his father's dresser drawer. Shouto isn't supposed to know about it, but he does anyways, and sometimes when his father isn't there he sneaks into his room and takes it out and holds it in both hands, feeling the weight of it. He pretends to shoot his father through the head, muzzle pointed at his pillow. And then he turns it on himself, watching his reflection in the mirror.
In the end, though, he always puts it back.
Suicide is a sin, after all.

I'll disown you, Katsuki, and you won't be a part of this family anymore. Do you understand?"
Katsuki stares down at his hands, at his bruised and bloody knuckles, and feels his eyes burn. "Yeah," he says, throat tight. "I understand."

Nedzu's eyes burn into Shouta. "It's my understanding that you've been interested in mentoring a general studies student, correct?"
"Are you talking about Shinsou?" Shouta's mouth feels dry, his mind running through all the worst possible scenerios as he stares at Nedzu, who stares steadily back. "This meeting is about him?"
Nedzu inclines his head by the slightest degree. His voice is as solemn as a doctor delivering news about a terminal illness when he says, "It is." He pauses, as if bracing himself for Shouta's reaction, and then says, "He was declared missing at nine o'clock last night."
This is a horrible way to start a morning.

Summary
They drag him out of the hospital in handcuffs, and he'll later learn that the entire place went on lockdown because of him, but he can't bring himself to care. He curses at the security officer wrestling his hands behind his back, curses at everybody he sees, hisses and spits as he damns Bakugou Mitsuki to the lowest pits of Hell, the slightly smug look on her face doing absolutely nothing to calm the rage roaring inside of him.
Eijirou gets shoved into the back of a police cruiser, and he spends his overnight stay at the precinct kicking at the bars of his holding cell and screaming himself hoarse.

The boy frowns down at her, his eyes narrowing as he looks her up and down. "How the Hell did you get here?" Eri points at the elevator, and he follows the motion, then scoffs, "Yeah, no fucking shit. I meant, how did you get into the dorms in the first place? Don't you live with Aizawa-sensei?"
"He's doing hero work," Eri says. "Mina is supposed to be watching me."
And the boy laughs, shakes his head in an exasperated way as he glances over at the girls' side of the fourth floor. "She's not doing a very good job." He pauses, watching her for a long moment, and then sighs. "Well, I guess that I can't just leave you here, damnit." He holds out his hand towards her, sharp and insistent, and looks relieved when Eri takes it. "C'mon," he says. "Let's find a way to get you to sleep, kid."

There are times when Eri tries fall asleep but finds that she can't, no matter how hard she tries, and it's on those nights that she wonders if anything has changed at all.

"You act like you're so self-righteous, like you're so much better than everyone else just because you can't handle a weapon properly, and it's complete bullshit. People like you are always the first go batshit crazy in the arena, have you noticed that?"
Ochako glares at him, digs her nails into his wrist. "I'd rather be batshit crazy," she hisses, voice low, "than a complete monster like you."

Bakugou reminds Ochako of a time bomb, primed and ready to explode, and she is less than thrilled to have him as a mentor. The hate, she discovers, is mutual.

Shouto clambers up onto the bed, yanks open the first-aid kit, and pulls out a roll of bandages. Turning to Touya, he holds out his hands and says, expectantly, "Arm." When Touya hesitates, he huffs and says, louder, "Arm!"
"Okay, okay, jeez!" Touya complies, giving his brother his arm and then watching, eyebrows raised, as Shouto proceeds to wind the bandages around it in a way that honestly does a very shitty job at helping with literally anything. "You're great at this, Shouto."
Proudly, Shouto says, "I know."

Touya knows what his role is, and, if something inside of him longs for more, he's smart enough by now to know that nothing good ever comes from speaking his mind.

"Yeah," he says. "Sure."

"Fuyumi," Touya responds, mimicking her tone. He pulls open the door to his room and steps inside, sitting down at his desk so that his sister can sprawl out on his bed like it belongs to her. Touya smiles as he watches her, asks, "What's up?"
Fuyumi watches him for a long moment, her expression unreadable. Just as Touya is about to ask her why she's being so quiet, she sighs and says, very seriously, "You should run away."

Katsuki can't bring himself to act like nothing is wrong, like nothing has changed. Everything has changed. Something fundamental and precious has snapped deep inside of him, and he doesn't know how to fix it, doesn't know if it even can be fixed, and it'd be cruel, he thinks, to pretend that he's the same person he was at the start of the school year. To fool his friends and classmates into thinking that he's still himself.
He covers up the mirror the first chance he gets.

"Shut up, Deku," Kacchan hisses, and he looks almost scared when he glances over at Auntie Mitsuki, which can't be right because he's the bravest person that Izuku knows and brave people don't get scared. "You were watching TV. You couldn't hear shit."
"I would've heard it!" Izuku insists. "You didn't fall down the stairs, you're lying! I was outside and you started screaming, I heard you, you were really loud, and -"
"Deku," Kacchan hisses, taking a step towards him. "Shut the fuck up."
