Wilbur's fingers clench against his skin for a blink - sudden, almost too quick to be noticeable. Techno hardly pays it any mind. If he had, he'd have noticed the dark clouded look in Wilbur's eyes too.
"Maybe we're just scared you won't realize how much we love you?" he says. "Or that you'll slip away if we don't hold you tight enough?"

Techno’s mother figured out the truth within a day.

It is dangerous to get attached to things - especially mortal things - at Tommy’s age. But he’s sick of being lonely. And he’s sick of not having the kind of love they share.
(Meanwhile, Phil and his sons befriend a random blond teenager who is definitely not about to change their lives forever.)

After the old war ended, Techno took the chance to make a new life for himself with both hands. Once hailed by the crown for his skill at making weapons, he has traded all that for a more peaceful existence. One not tainted by blood. Techno enjoys making household items and trinkets. He enjoys showing Ranboo and Tommy the ropes. He enjoys his freedom and isn't shy about saying no to something he doesn't want.
Too bad that when a new war approaches, the crown wants its treasured blacksmith back. And the man they send out to assure this happens, Philza Craft, is not one to take no for an answer.

As soon as cloning became commonplace, vampires saw no need to keep ‘free roaming’ humans around. They are now the dominant species, and humans are made in labs to satiate the need for food.
Broadly speaking, there are two types of humans. Common feeder lines are mass-produced, each branch consisting of over a hundred specimens, created to be sold cheaply to any coven that will take them. They are made with a few simple qualities in mind: nutritious blood, docile temperaments, and no health problems.
Then there are designer lines. Genetically engineered to be as tasty as they come, richer covens are happy to pay some extra bucks if it means having a rare, limited-edition human in their possession.
The Blade line is extremely rare. Techno might be one of a dozen or so left.
Coincidentally, the Antarctic Coven just acquired themselves a collector's item.

Most of the cases Techno takes on as a private investigator turn out to be rather boring. Sally Fisher's disappearance is an exception when it gets Techno involved with a notorious trio of serial killers called The Carrions. They quickly grow interested in Techno - dangerously so.

Two months ago, Technoblade lost his memories. Not ideal for a superhero, but the job is a dangerous one. He's coping about as well as one would expect. Well, aside from having to deal with three supervillains who can't seem to act in expected ways around him, confusing as that is.
