Summary
Skeppy knew a lot about the city of L'manburg, a city that had been ravaged by some apparently sentient egg. While the fate of those who had lived in L'manburg was unknown, everyone knew that the Emperor of the Eggpire had been consumed by the egg in his final stand. Now sacrifices were sent to the egg to keep it in check so that it wouldn't spread past the walls of L'manburg.
And oh joy, Skeppy was its next sacrifice.

The egg is gone now, and Bad has long since been rescued, but they're left broken apart again, trying to figure out how to be together. How to love together again.

But between the soft smiles and moments of assurance, Skeppy begins to realize that Bad is no longer safe. Amidst a deal with the very thing that had broken them, Skeppy leads Bad away from the world he left to rot so they can live together, alone and untouched.
And this time, he manages to keep Bad safe at his side.
