Comment on No Love More True

  1. I don't know what way of finding out that he got married is worse; him parading Candy around the precinct like an asshole or a cop calling to say he's missing and that his wife reported it. I feel like at some point during this chapter, I should've been in tears like your last fic, but I'm not because I always get so fucking angry at him at this point in canon and in the Candy Morningstar episode. And knowing what's going on inside their heads now, I STILL get pissed at him.

"He’d approached plenty of people that first night, and even more had approached him, but every single time he’d ended up walking away in short order." Aww, poor Lucifer can't fuck Chloe's memory away? GOOD.

I saw Pierce's name tags. Why do I feel like he's the reason Lucifer is missing?

As for the fic itself, when I got the notification that you were back with a "monster of a fic," I squeed. I love your fics and I'm really excited for this one! 😃😃😃😃😃😃😃😃

    1. Tbh I think actually shoving Candy in her face is worse - it has all the hurt of revealing he got married, plus seeing him be happy about it in person, plus the sheer humiliation of doing it in the precinct like that 😭 Though finding out through this phone call isn't much better. When I say I want to slap him repeatedly during that episode...

I wasn't really intending for tears during this chapter, just to convey what Chloe is feeling right now, and there's a lot of anger from her too. The same with Lucifer's pov - just because we can see why he did what he did, that doesn't excuse it 😬

No comments on Pierce, but we will keep getting Lucifer's pov to fill in the blanks. I'm so happy you're that excited for this fic! Made my day. Thank you 🥰❤️

      1. I want to repeatedly slap him throughout the episode. When he tells her they're "just friends" you see her just BREAK and then to top it off, he makes fun of her taste in music. I happen to like The Bangels and NSYNC, fuck you very much, Lucifer. And then he's SHOCKED that she fires him? I'm surprised she didn't throw him out sooner. And then the constant "you need me." He should've been trying to prove his loyalty to her or proving that she CAN count on her. I mean URGH!!!😡😡😡😡😡😡

By the way, thank you for making him unable to hook up with anyone else because in the show it always made me sick that we still saw him hooking up with other women after all of this and being kind of rude to Chloe. ESPECIALLY during the Top Meet episode. But, yeah. I love seeing karma bite him in the ass here. I love that he can't touch another woman without thinking of Chloe and I love that marrying Candy was tearing him up inside. But, him going missing makes me worry 🥺

I hate having to wait a week to find out 😫😫😫😫

        1. It really wasn't just one moment, was it? He rubbed it in her face over and over 😩 it was cruel, and he had some nerve acting like she would just go "okay!" and move on like nothing ever happened. Chloe was too nice in letting him come back at the end of that episode, just for realizing he went through a lot too. He should have actually earned her forgiveness and showed he would do better, but he never really did.

I didn't appreciate him going right back to hooking up with other people either. If he was going to do that, he should have been dissatisfied by it instead of being able to go right back to normal. And then constantly talking about it to Chloe, ugh. The Top Meet episode bothered me too (honestly, a lot of s3 bothered me even outside of Pierce). Meanwhile Chloe was expected to wait for him I guess, with endless patience and grace he didn't earn.

He's still spiraling downwards, so we'll see what happened to him with these next few chapters...
