Oh god don't even get me started on MCU Thanos, I could rant forever about the bad decisions made with him, like that the heroes are never once given the opportunity to present a coherent defense to show how utterly stupid his plan is, which is exactly why we ended up with "well y'know I'm just saying maybe Thanos had a point" dudebros EVEN BEFORE THEY ADDED FUEL TO THAT WITH THE STUPID LITTLE "THANOS WAS RIGHT" THING IN HAWKEYE, COME ON. lol actually my author notes on another fic were just paragraphs of ranting plus links to other people's rants...which I think was even before Endgame heavily implied and then the filmmakers outright stated that the Snap took out half of all plant and animal life as well, and I did actually feel very vindicated about that because it validated everything I'd been saying about his motives being a bullshit lie he told himself to cover up that he liked causing suffering. although I don't entirely think the filmmakers were...smart enough to realize that.
