AHHH, I'm glad you liked that part! I worried it was a little too tell-not-showy, but on the other hand, some of the stuff Matt is telling is actually his own dramallama insecurities and not what's actually going on - Frank definitely wasn't hiding his old self, after all, his grieving self was very very much 'real him'. But I like how it turned out and I'm so glad it worked for you.
She definitely emerges more in the scene with Matt, I think - the first scene with Frank is very much about Frank and how totally fucked up he is about everything, and Maria's just trying to reach him. In the N&M scene, you get right into the mess of what she wants and how she thinks and how she goes about getting it, and I'm super glad you enjoyed it.
