    i hope that with the upgrades to the medical bots yao and ilyukhina survive the trip!!
    rocky learning about cancer (and that grace has/had it!!) would be so traumatic for him, especially after learning about radiation sickness. they're both extremely deadly and attack cells- it's hard not to make the connection between grace and his dead crew in this scenario.... oof

      Listen, I was thinking the same thing!

      I think Grace still lost a lot of his memory due to the whole "untested medical science in space + cancer" thing. I also think that Rocky would probably hear about it from Yao and Ilyukhina.

      Rocky, in a rare moment where Grace is in the lab or something and he's alone with the other two: Why Grace friends so protective of Grace, question? Yes, humans are leaky space blobs, but Grace mostly competent, statement.

      Yao and Ilyukhina: *awkward explanation of cancer and the untested treatment and how they were like 90% sure they'd be waking up next to the corpse of their friend.*

      Rocky: *Horror* oooohhhh bad bad bad. Rocky protect Grace too. Yao Ilyukhina Grace Rocky save stars, Yao Ilyukhina Rocky protect Grace. Rocky not lose more friend ever ever ever.
