After overhearing a conversation before one of Trucy's shows, Edgeworth finds out Phoenix has agreed to his daughter's request to start dating again once the year ends. This news shouldn't bother him, or concern him in any way.
It does, and he can no longer deny why.

Summary
After learning about a clerical error on their wedding certificate, Maggey and Gumshoe decide to go all out and invite their friends and family to a vow renewal ceremony in Las Vegas. Edgeworth, spurred on by his sister's
threatsencouragements, decides to use the trip as an opportunity to express feelings he's been holding onto for years.However when Edgeworth, Larry, and Phoenix wake up the morning after Gumshoe's bachelor party, it doesn't take them long to realize things didn't go as planned: Edgeworth's cards have been declined, Larry has been mysteriously injured, and Phoenix wakes up wearing a wedding ring. And, to top it all off, Gumshoe is missing. They'll need to rush against time to find Gumshoe before his wedding, and to do that they'll need to figure out what the hell exactly happened last night.

“Would you- Would you like something to drink?” Miles asks, like he’s trying to be a proper host while he’s holding onto the wall.
Tonight was already such a shitshow, what with the celebration of the trial’s conclusion. Really, he’s just glad Maya and Pearl decided to go up to the hotel room before it got too rowdy. By the time he got back downstairs, a drunken Edgeworth was thrust in his arms and he was tasked with bringing him home. He’s never letting Larry and Miles sit at an open bar together again if he can help it.
So, this is where they are at this point in the night.
