I like writing about Espio. He’s a weird guy, isn’t he?
All of these exist in the same little bubble of stories, but really their only connection is probably just that they’re often character studies of Espio and my own take on some situations with him. I promise they aren’t all going to be depressing.

Summary
Knuckles is the guardian of the Master Emerald, Blaze is the guardian of the Sol Emeralds. There are thing about them that only another guardian can understand, both of them know what it's like to have a responsibility so heavy that it feels like you can be nothing else. Both know what it is like to be disconnected from everyone else due to role you never asked for and both know how much it hurts to keep the power they had been bestowed locked away.
Knuckles had spent a whole lifetime refusing to use his power. Fearing what would happen if he did.
It's hurting him so much.
And Blaze can see he could break at any moment.
