“That’s good news.” Mia Fey chuckles but she doesn’t sound very amused. “I’d have hated to see a repetition of our first trial together.”
Miles closes his eyes. Exhales. He, too, doesn’t want to experience another defendant dead by suicide at the hands of Dahlia Hawthorne.
“We are in agreement, then.”
She eyes him warily. Miles stands perfectly still. After a few seconds, she sighs.
“Let’s move this conversation to my office.” She opens the door and enters the main office room, leaving Miles at the doorstep. He follows suit and - abruptly stops.
Because there, on the office sofa, asleep, is Phoenix Wright.
