He wanted to tell her of the smoke that curled within him and the terrors of a darkening hallway.
He wanted to beg for forgiveness. For every word. Every sneer. Every time he turned away while she wept under the knife. But he couldn't. She was Granger. And he was Draco. None of it even mattered. She couldn't fix him, and he certainly wasn't asking her to. But maybe...
