Helen Pevensie no longer knows her children.
And isn’t that a hard pill to swallow, because she can no longer read Peter's eyes, or Susan’s grace, or Edmund's smile, or Lucy’s expressions.
She doesn’t know why they all have nightmares so commonly, or why Edmund and Peter have stopped persistently arguing. She even found them all in the same bed once, how they managed that without her hearing is a mystery to all, but that isn't her point.
