Derek stood to his full height, taking a step closer to Stiles as he placed his thumb and forefinger against Stiles’ chin. He was gentle in his prompting—the gentlest he had been since the last time he had held Cora as a baby. “I would never make you hunt. I would never make you kill.”
Stiles blinked, his mouth partially parting. But he didn’t know what to say.
“I never wish that feeling on anyone,” Derek finally stated, dropping his hand from Stiles.

Summary
At first Derek thinks there’s a teenage girl staggering around the woods on the estate, all coltish limbs and elegant fingers and delicate rose-pink lips, and his heart leaps into his throat. But then the stranger’s hood falls back to reveal a buzz cut and, when he turns around, the beginnings of an Adam’s apple.
The guy doesn’t scream when he lays eyes on Derek. Derek chooses to count that as a good sign.
“Shit, I’m hallucinating,” the guy mutters instead, and collapses in the snow.

Many villagers claimed it was then bad luck to do such a thing, but Wei Wuxian had found such logic ridiculous and always opted to stare when the mysterious god drifted high above their tiny village. Even now, in the bright afternoon sun, with Hanguang-Jun descending on him, Wei Wuxian can’t find it in himself to look away.
