It had only been a few weeks since Kaiser and Isagi officially bonded as mates. For the most part, things hadn’t changed much between them. They still bickered during practice, still competed to outshine each other on the field, and still had their own brand of affectionate rivalry that no one else seemed to understand just like when they were still at college.
But there was one thing Kaiser couldn’t ignore.
Isagi had been acting… different.
“Another bowl of rice?” Kaiser asked, raising an eyebrow as he watched Isagi reach for his third serving during lunch.
“I’m hungry,” Isagi said defensively, shoveling food into his mouth.
“You’re always hungry lately,” Kaiser teased, leaning on his elbow as he watched Isagi eat. “You’ve been moody too. Yesterday, you snapped at Chigiri for running too fast.”
“That’s because he was running too fast,” Isagi muttered, avoiding Kaiser’s gaze.
Kaiser smirked, leaning in closer. “Yoichi, are you sure you’re not… you know, pregnant?”
