I cannot believe it. Right when I needed advice the most, my mentor disappeared off the face of the earth. No one in China knows where he is; I've been searching for him for the past 2 weeks, and I don’t even know if he’s alive. I’m so stressed my hands have been shaking whenever I think about it.

Damn. I cannot believe it. Excellent Era lost, and I’m still replaying it for the 100th time in my head. The beautiful setup by Zhang Xinjie to force One Autumn Leaf to turn away, and then have Ji Leng strike like lightning was nothing short of perfection. Like, you would think that Excellent Era was winning the entire team, but this time Tyranny was pressuring EE hard. Like, seriously hard.

Ye Qiu has not gotten any worse, and Su Mucheng’s coordination and support is nothing short of perfection, but Zhang Xinjie and all of Tyranny just played better. That last assassination, Ji Leng’s hand speed went up to 500 APM for 5 seconds, blitzing right up to One Autumn Leaf and stabbing him in the back. I really wish I had that incredible hand speed sometimes.

Hundred Blossoms fans really shouldn't blame either of Sun Zheping or Zhang Jiale for losing the playoffs. Sun Zheping tried his best, and it was an accident that caused him to leave the pro scene. Besides, he’s put so much of his life into Glory already. Can he not take a break? He’s only turning 22 in August, and he’s been playing as pro since he was 18. That’s right. 4 years of pro Glory, with I don’t know how much playing in-game, probably a lot. That’s nearly a quarter of his life devoted to Glory.

And do you know how it feels to be unable to play at all? Unable to move your hands fast enough, to aim properly, react fast enough?

It is heartbreaking.

And those blaming Zhang Jiale for not carrying the team hard enough to the final? Tell me. What is his title?

That’s right. Vice Captain.

He wasn’t supposed to lead the team into the finals alone. He had a partner. A captain. I shudder to think about other teams and how badly they'd perform if their captain was unavailable to play.

But he still fought desperately, carrying the team into the playoffs, even past Excellent Era, defeating Ye Qiu.

Nothing but respect for Zhang Jiale.

BLUE RAIN IS THE BEST TEAM!!!!

BLUE RAIN IS THE BEST TEAM!!!!

BLUE RAIN IS THE BEST TEAM!!!!

BLUE RAIN IS THE BEST TEAM!!!!

BLUE RAIN IS THE BEST TEAM!!!!

I am so happy about this season, I’m almost crying thinking about it.

Although Yu Wenzhou is a good captain and Shaotian’s trash talk helped, we need more appreciation of the entire team and the other team members.

Everyone did their part perfectly; Yu Feng led the attack, disrupting Tiny Herb’s rhythm while dealing as much damage as possible.

Xu Jingxi made sure that Yu Feng and Shaotian were healed enough to continue, while providing buffs needed, especially when Vaccaria, Angelica, and Flying Sword were attacking ferociously near the end.

Zheng Xuan also provided probably the best support I’ve seen him provide, ever. He played even better than that one time we almost lost against Tyranny in quarterfinals, and he turned the pace of that match entirely around, giving us a chance to win a third game against Tyranny and progress to semifinals.

And the team chat! If you counted the messages from Yu Wenzhou, ignoring Shaotian’s trash talk, it would be probably the lowest word and character count from any shotcaller in the entire league! Like, would anyone else be able to read “st f vc” and then instantly know that Shaotian is going to attack Vaccaria? Pros have their own codes in chat, but Blue Rain code is the absolute best.

In summary:

WE ARE THE BEST TEAM

I guess Zhang Jiale really couldn’t take it anymore, huh. He already did his best for 2.5 years alone. He should have prepared his team more though, instead of disappearing and letting everyone else scramble to find a replacement for the core of the team. I mean, seriously. The team is already missing half its core, not even staying to train up a replacement?

I have mixed feelings on this to be honest.

Regarding recent news, I don’t know why all of you are bashing and hating on Ye Qiu for leaving Excellent Era. I thought it was obvious. Excellent Era forced him out.

Think about it. Ye Qiu does no sponsorships obviously, while we have players like Huang Shaotian advertising mikes, Su Mucheng with a ton of beauty products/modelling, and Zhou Zekai with McDonald’s Ice Cream for some reason (they probably pay well tbh). Meanwhile we have Excellent Era, with declining sponsorships, declining team performance, and a captain that doesn’t do sponsorships/advertising.

If you say that Ye Qiu is getting older and weaker, check out the damage stats. One Autumn Leaf provides nearly 40% of the team’s damage every time and has always stayed within top 25 of group arena’s damage dealt leaderboards. Meanwhile his teammates (excluding Mucheng) have always performed decently in the individuals, but made critical mistakes, and not listened to orders in the team matches, such as S8M4, S8M7, S8M14. Sure, they say that the plans were changed, but I don’t hear Ye Qiu refuting that, because he never appears in public. If he has valid reasons for staying in private, then people can say whatever they want about him, with no one to contradict them.

Having Sun Xiang added to the EE roster this late is quite suspicious, as it leaves Ye Qiu with less than 2 days to negotiate a transfer with a team. Plus, from what I’ve heard, contracts are expensive to cancel, from a friend I have in the pro scene.

Ye Qiu is a pro from the early generation, and they are as loyal as superglue to their clubs. He will not move against Excellent Era, even if they sabotage him.

I fully believe that Excellent Era had some internal disagreement with Ye Qiu, and then planned to push him out by making Sun Xiang captain and One Autumn Leaf. There is no other possibility.
