    [It didn’t take long for Skizz to notice what Impulse’s line of work was; Board abandoned ships and purge them of foreign entities. This could be anything between cat-sized rats, dead bodies or… yes ghosts.
    Not all ships were interesting, it was quite obvious when a ship had been in a fight and lost. There would be singe marks all over the hull, broken glass that could not easily shatter since it was produced to withstand the forces of space and bullet holes in every hallway. Those ships just needed to be cleaned out, the valuables collected and the ship returned to a port to be recycled.
    The good ships would buzz with an eerie sound. Lights would be on even without a source to feed them, wails would call out for help, the air was chilled even through the protective suits Impulse wore.
    Skizz wanted in. He said ghost hunting was everything he’d wanted to do back on Earth. Space ghost hunting was another level of cool.]

    One beat passes. Two. Three. Then four and five and six.

    The other shifts, grass laced with drops of dew furling beneath their shoes. “I know you aren’t really asleep.”

    Grian sighs and one narrow eye cracks open. There are three things that instantly draw his attention. First, the glare of light beaming down, radiant as it breaches over the horizon and sways and dances in the clear sky, void of any clouds. The second, bundles of ripe, nitid plums brim with sweet nectar dangle scattered across sturdy tree branches. Its leaves are stained emerald and verdun and moss green. So thin one could view through the chartreuse-tinted lenses if they so wished to. The third, his sister, Pearl staring down at him, head parallel to his. Long, ash-brown hair falls gracefully on either side of his head.

    Or: Three times Grian and Pearl nearly reveal their godly status and successfully keep it hidden from Hermitcraft. One time they almost fail (and are forced to take drastic measures.)

    “I had hoped it would not come to this”, the left one spoke, the voice devoid of emotion. “You have been chosen. You are to become one of Us. And Watchers do not speak.”

    Evolution was supposed to be a normal server. Grian wasn’t supposed to get trapped in the End and be changed into something beyond his comprehension. As his playerhood gets ripped away, Grian is thrusted into the cold, unfeeling world of Watchers. A world he never was meant to belong to.

    Deep down, he is still a player wanting to be whole again. A player wanting to get back his old connections and live a normal life. A player, who had lost his physical body and the ability to interact with his surroundings in the process of becoming a Watcher.

    This story is a journey of learning to live once more, finding and returning to normal when "normal" seems unattainable, and finally being able to love yourself again.

    Grian was right. Where a normal mirror would show a reflection, this one was just…black. It contained a swirling darkness that gave Impulse a slight feeling of vertigo. It was just a void, cold and unwelcoming. Peering closer, he could see hints of a purple…fog, or something, within the darkness of the mirror, going further and further down, seemingly forever. Unintelligible whispers reached his ears. They were too soft to make out any actual words, but it caused him to take a step back anyway. The voices sounded a little bit too…inviting, for his comfort.

    It felt wrong. Like it didn’t belong in this realm. (Let alone in a Home Depot.)

    It felt vaguely familiar.

    It felt cursed.

    The GIGGS crew needs to buy some new ghost hunting equipment. Coming across a weird mirror in the middle of Home Depot wasn't exactly on the list, but surely nothing will go wrong, right?

    "Impulse took a careful, aching breath, forcing the air through the block in his chest. He shifted his arms underneath him and winced at a tingling burn erupting over his skin. It intensified into a blinding, agonizing sear, sending his back slamming into the wall when he jerked away from the source.

    The half-burned crucifix glared back at him, red-hot through the shadows still crowding his vision. They wouldn't leave no matter how much he blinked. Voices sounded miles away and underwater. Someone was speaking, but Impulse couldn't tell who or from where. Even the wall behind him didn't feel right. It felt muted against his fingertips, like the texture was hidden by layers of gloves.

    This wasn't right."

    OR: A vengeful demon knocks Impulse out of his body, leaving it up to Skizz, Scar, Grian, and Gem to get him back. But the afterlife is not particularly kind to Impulse, nor is the demon possessing Impulse's body being any nicer to Skizz.
