Childhood trauma holds a different grip than even the worst of the violence that Jason endured at Joker’s hands. And Jason never had to say it out loud during his waking moments for Bruce to recognize the whimpering sounds as mum or the words in between his hiccuping breaths as no and p-please and dad.
If it’s anyone else, they probably wouldn’t understand it quite like Bruce can.
