Summary
Cloud Strife, twelve, is busy picking blueberries in his secret blueberry spot in the forests of Nibelheim. The day becomes meaningful when a young boy emerges from a magical portal in front of Cloud, telling him that he's taking a day off fighting a war.
The boy sure is odd with his silver hair and green eyes and overall aura of weirdness - he doesn't seem to know much of the outdoors at all - but Cloud is happy to introduce him to blueberries and friendship. Of course. The boy, in turn, ends up stealing something important from Cloud, leaving an everlasting imprint in his heart.
