Dabi needed fire, to be burned. Tomura was always good for that. The moment between them burned through Dabi, hurting him in a way he needed. Hawks was different. It was slower, more gentle… Dabi wasn’t sure how to handle it. He needed to be hurt to be whole — So, when Tomura failed to deliver, Dabi tried to get what he wanted elsewhere.
Hawks was lonely. It was like his soul was slowly dying behind every mask he had to wear. Even if it wasn’t perfect, he felt he could drop some of those masks in front of Dabi. When he comes to him one night, desperate for something he isn’t sure if he can provide, all he can do is reach out and do his best, even if it feels like a new type of break.
