(You're awoken by someone calling your name... you want to sleep for a little longer. you close your eye, your want for sleep has taken hold of you.)
???: "-frin!"
???: "siffrin!"
???: "...siffrin?"
(you open your eye... it's mira, she's looking down at you.)
Mirabelle: "Good morning!" (She's as cheery sounding as ever).
Mirabelle: "Well, I guess it's more like good afternoon."
(it's afternoon already? you missed lunch...)
Mirabelle: "Were you taking a nap? That's so like you. Only you could be so relaxed at a time like this, hehe!. I guess that's smart though... we should get as much rest as possible while we still can! we have to be up and awake for tommorow. so we can face the king!"
(oh yeah... the king... you and your party members have to fight him tomorrow... Even with this thought you're too sleepy to respond, the sweet embrace of sleep calls for you. and you close your eyes...)
Mirabelle: "You're still half asleep aren't you?"
Siffrin: "hmghmhmm"
Mirabelle: "hm... well alrighty..." (she starts to leave) "you can sleep a little longer , but not for too long! come to the village when you're ready, okay?"

(you open your eye stretch and yawn so hard your jaw cracks)
(you were having such a nice rest too, but as much as you want to, you can't spend the day sleeping...get up siffrin. you have a country to save and there's, no need to keep mira waiting too long)
(you stand back up, wipe some of the dirt off you and you walk to the village, you see a few birds along the way, you walk towards one and it does its chirp... WAIT in Vaugarde birds go peeoo peeoo)
"piou piou!"
(peeoo peeoo!)
(you wave bye to the bird and carry on walking)
Mirabelle: "oh! siffrin your up!"
(you sure are) Siffrin: "hey mira."
Mirabelle: "Hey, siffrin hehe. How was your nap? on a scale of one to ten!"
(it was a... alright nap but i dont wanna make her feel bad so i guess) Siffrin: "it was a solid nine"
(mira looks a mix of slightly shocked and disappointed)
Mirabelle: "Was it not a ten because the finish could use some work?"
(yeah) Siffrin: "next time?"
Mirabelle: "Yes! Next time I will let you sleep longer so we can get the elusive ten out of ten score."
(you hope so) "sounds good mira"
Mirabelle: "oh wait, i have something to ask you about siffrin!"
(oh?) Siffrin: "yeah?"
Mirabelle: "Okay so um, I have an idea for tonight... so this will be the night before we go into the house and fight the king , so i felt like we should make this night special somehow... and i was thinking so um, what do you think about a sleepover at the clocktower! We could all eat together, sleep in the same room, and maybe even tell stories!!! it would be nice, wouldn't it?"
(how is this any different from what you all usually do?) Siffrin: "... uh sure?"
Mirabelle: "ah... you think it's silly, don't you? I'm sorry, I wanted to think of something fun to do tonight ... but that's all I could think of..." (she looks away slightly) "it was ... it was a stupid idea wasn't it? maybe we should forget about it..."
(oh, no...)
(YOUR LIKE OF ENTHUSIASM HAS MADE MIRABELLE UPSET! FIX THIS QUICK YOU ABSOLUTE MONSTER!! you stumble over your words slightly but you're able to get out.) Siffrin: "N-NO i think this is a great idea it sounds really fun!!! let's do it!!!"
Mirabelle: "oh uh are you sure?... um if we are doing it... could you tell everyone about it? i... i dont think I could convince everyone..."
(you kinda have too now) Siffrin: "yeah of course i can mira."
(mira sighs and says) "alright let me think... Isabeau should be near the favor tree to the west, Bonnie should be near the field to the east , and madame Odile is in the shop buying items. We'll be meeting at the clocktower to the east past the broken bridge, so when you're done just come there and tell everyone else too aswell... uh thats a lot of names and places, are you going to remember those?"
(um...) Siffrin: "i always remember things"
Mirabelle: "siffrin... alright well unrelated to your memory, here's a note with everyone's names and location. just in case you do happen to forget!"
(yeah that's smart... you got the reminder note, you put the note in your pockets for later.)
Mirabelle: "alright see you later, oh and don't forget to visit the change god statue!"
(oh yeah that change god thing... you'll do that first since it's probably not on the note.) Siffrin: "See you soon mira!"
(you wave bye to mirabelle and make your way to the change god statue.)
(you look up at the change god statue, it has a peaceful face on it, the ones smaller than the big one have all different faces on them some happy some sad some angry looking, one with a face that reminds you of a puzzle, and some without a face, some are animated by craft to move, some dancing , hoping, and one in particular with a very serious face and is crafted to jog in place... you have a suspicion on who it belongs to. Despite the differences, all of them are the change god, deity worshiped by all of Vaugarde, and currently standing before you...)
(you have trouble believing you've come this far in your journey , almost at the end ... you only met mirabelle a few months ago. It's been almost a year since the king first appeared seemingly out of nowhere, threatening all of vaugarde with his power, spreading his curse ,freezing everything in time that was unlucky enough to be in its path. With Dormont's House of change he waits for his curse can only be reversed if he is defeated... His victory over all of Vaugarde nearly guaranteed if not for Mirabelle, a housemaiden blessed by the change god. when you met her she was already with Odile and Isabeau, collecting the orbs necessary to open the gates of Dormont's House of change and defeat the king.)
(You had helped them defeat a particularly strong sadness and had asked you to help them out, you didn't have anything better to do so you said yes, plus it's not like you can say no to helping save a country. A few weeks after you met Bonnie, completing your little group.)
(you've seen many vaugardian cities and towns in your travels, some frozen some not... you somehow sidestepped the slowly encroaching curse that wracked the country. Despite all that you kept going... you all did. Mirabelle kept going to honor the change gods gift, and save her House of change and save Vaugarde. Isabeau came along with her after Vaugarde's defenders refused to help, some blinding defenders... Odile came along to satisfy her curiosity. and because she said "leaving the fate of a country to a bunch of young ones would give me an ulcer.". Bonnie came to save their sister, frozen by the curse. You're here because there's nothing for you to do. What are you supposed to do except travel with them?)
(once mirabelle asked if you were okay traveling alongside them to save a whole country. She had felt guilty and thought she was forcing everyone to follow her on a possibly hopeless quest. you wanted to ease her mind on the situation and you told her that truthfully travelling with mirabelle and the others was the happiest you could ever remember being. she looked upset... you cringe thinking about it, truth be told... it wasn't the most considerate thing you could've said at the moment especially with someone that has her issues.)
(one way or another, you'll face the king... and your journey will conclude...)

(you're pretty sure the whole change god thing works if you believe strongly at the statue. At least , that's how mirabelle and isabeau taught you. It's not like you can ask for just anything, that's seen as lazy in the change belief , it's the change god, only faith and confidence in yourself will do the trick. the change god only provides a little nudge)
(anyways, you.... believe strongly or whatever. that you'll be supper fast, no one can hit your friends if you hit them first. you repeat under your breath) "super fast. super fast. super fast."
(you actually feel a little faster????? you do a little jog in place, you trip on a rock.. ow... you really hope no one saw that. you wave bye and thank the change god for its blessing)
(you head to the shop that the note says Odile is in. you walk in and walk up to odile) "odile!"
Odile: "ah, hello siffrin. you look well rested. nice to see you this laidback on the day before the end of a country. Anyways, how can I help you?"
(questions?) Siffrin: "clocktower sleepover"
Odile: "a sleepover at the clocktower? wow you guys really are children."
(... true kinda.) Siffrin: "it can help us forget out problems"
Odile: "I suppose it can. Nonetheless I'll be there, poor boniface probably needs it... maybe we all do. but the clock tower only has three beds right? I'm getting a whole bed."
(well) Siffrin: "mira and bonnie will be sharing"
Odile: "Mirabelle and Bonnie? So who'll sleep on the floor, you or Isabeau?"
(isa and you are sharing obviously) Siffrin: "me and isa will share of course."
Odile: "...fascinating. anyways ill be there you know since we already decided earlier to meet at the clocktower and all"
(oh yeah you did plan that... no harm in telling everyone though. you wave bye to odile and walk out the shop.)
(next is.... bonnie, they were to the field at the east. You're pretty sure the field is the place with the blind one so you get to going there.)
(as you walk you really hope that you really hope you're going the right way, you're not exactly sure where everything in dormont is, but you sure know what a field looks like so you just have to look for one of those!)
(eventually you see the field walk to it and.. here is Bonnie looking sullenly at the field) "hey bonnie!"
bonnie: "heyfrin"

bonnie: "... what d'you want?"
(the clocktower) Siffrin: "clocktower sleepover!"
bonnie: "a sleepover? That's pretty dumb. Was it your idea?"
(hey..) Siffrin: "it was mira's actually."
bonnie: "oooh, then it's a great idea , why didn't you come up with it.
(stars you do not know how to deal with bonnie anymore!)
(you need to know this) Siffrin: "Bonnie, are you worrying about your sister?"
bonnie: "no"

bonnie: "not even a little bit."
(that's a lie) Siffrin: "your sister will be okay ,Bonnie, you know that right?"
bonnie: "dont talk about my sister!"
bonnie: "and anyways i dont have to worry about her anyways... not like she's gonna move from her spot."
(oh ... yeah Bonnie's sister is in Bambouche, a coastal village hundreds of kilometers away from here... the king froze their village in time a few months back. Unless you manage to beat the king tommorow... everyone in vaugarde will share that fate... bonnies sister will never move again... you have to beat the king)

(Bonnie doesn't look very up for conversation... you walk away, waving bye as you leave...)

(ISABEAU TIME. the note says he's at the favor tree you begin to get going there... you aren't sure how confident you are when it comes to tomorrow... facing the king is going to be difficult... you hope you're able to get you and your friends far enough... if you don't oh stars wait youre about to get to isabeau... you breathe in and out. alright, isabeau time)
(you walk to him, isabeau is probably pondering what to ask the favor tree for.) Siffrin: "isa!"
Isabeau: "Sif!"
(yes!!!) Siffrin: "Isa!!!"
Isabeau: "Sif!!!"
(should this continue?) Siffrin: "Isaaaaaa!!!!!!"
Isabeau: "Sif!!!!!!"
(okay okay this should stop.) Siffrin: "alright lets stop"
Isabeau: "aw, boo!"
Isabeau: "Anyways, I was just looking at the favor tree! Isn't it a cool tree?"
(perfect for a pun!!!) Siffrin: "yeah, you could say it's pretty..."
Isabeau: "yeah?"
(Isabeau looks at you clearly waiting for you to finish) Siffrin: "TREE-mendouse tree."
Isabeau: "HAHAHA!!!! YEAH!!!! YEAH!!!!! YES!!!!!!!!!"
(you both laugh, this is a pun so good you could say it a million times and you'd still love it)
(while laughing uproariously he raises his hand and brings it to your shoulder... he stops.)

Isabeau: "haah hah ah yeah. Anyways, I'm gonna go soon so you can do your thing with the tree, but before then, you wanna talk?"
(oh yeah! Now's your chance!) Siffrin: "clocktower sleepover!"
Isabeau: "a sleepover? crab yeah! doesnt it only have 3 beds though, i assume madame odile will want to herself , mira and bonnie will probably be sharing, so that means its you and me are sharing a bed then , right sif!! I call the left side!"
(yep spot on.) Siffrin: "you know it."
Isabeau: "yes!!! Just try not to hog the covers this time siffrin, it's getting pretty cold at night and just because I'm big and strong doesn't mean I don't freeze."
(youre not sure you can promise that but.) Siffrin: "yeah i got you, isa!"
Isabeau:"Alright , do you want to walk to the clocktower with me?"
(oh! well sounds nice) Siffrin: "sure!"
Isabeau: "crab yes!"
(you and isa walk to the clocktower, it's already getting dark... and you zone out by the time you come to you're in the clocktower and there's food and you eat more than you thought you could... you could probably eat more.)
Isabeau: "oh bonbon that was DE-LIC-iOUS!"
Odile: "your cooking seems to just get better and better, Boniface. Those samosas were delicious."
Bonnie: "Really? they were good?" you liked it? I-I MEAN, OF COURSE IT WAS DELICIOUS!" I'm a master cooker you know!"
Odile: "a chef, Boniface."
Bonnie: "I'm a master chef cooker!"
Mirabelle: "it was a perfect meal ,bonnie"
Isabeau: "it was almost too much, to be honest...i dont think i can move."
(really? was it too much, you could've eaten more)
Isabeau: "aw, siff, are you still hungry?"
Bonnie: "frin, you ate a lot, huh!!! you liked my cooking a lot huh!!! here! have some more since youre still hungry and you like my cooking so much." (bonnie gives you one carrot slice)

Odile: "how can you , still , siffrin... how can such a small body eat that much?" (odile stares at you ... she looks slightly concerned)
Siffrin: "im a growing kid."
Mirabelle: "A growing kid that drinks alcohol ?!?"
Isabeau: "You're older than most people here aren't you!?!"
(you wink)
Mirabelle: "hey everyone ... Can I ... say something.?"
Isabeau: "yeah wats up, mira."
mirabelle: "um... we... we've been traveling together for a while now. It hasn't always been easy, but meeting you all, traveling through vaugarde to get the orbs needed to open the house gates again... there's no way I could've done it alone... i ... want to thank you, for coming with me this far, but tommorow..." (mira looks down...looking close to crying) "tomorrow we'll fight the king, someone who's thrown vaugard into stillness and silence. someone who has frozen almost all of vaugarde in time. I-Ill make sure it doesnt happen to a-any of you b-but if you don't want to come and you want to go back to your homes, i would-"
Odile: "It's a little late for that , now isn't it ,mirabelle."
Mirabelle: "i-i know , i- just-"
Isabeau: "and by that, madame odile means that we're going with you!"
Odile: "Of course I do. We've come this far after all."
Isabeau: "did you really think we'd leave you behind? let you go alone?"
Bonnie: "We'll come along!!! we'll help you belle!!! dont worry!"
siffrin: "We'll stay with you , mira." (you'd never leave her alone you couldn't ever do that)
Mirabelle: "oh..." (she smiles) "oh , thank you...!"
(Bonnie and Isabeau hug Mirabelle tightly, while you and Odile stand a bit apart like always. This is when an audience in the theater would say "aawww!".)
Mirabelle: "... we should head to bed."
isabeau: "Yep! we have a big day tomorrow!"
Odile: "indeed... well then, good night , everyone"
Bonnie: "g'night!!!"
(you all head to the bedroom in the clocktower, you all lie down and you fall asleep...)

Isabeau: "sif?"
Isabeau: "hey... hey sif, siffrin, siffarooni."
(Isabeau is whispering your name .You turn around and face him.)
isabeau: "um..."

isabeau: "sorry? for waking you up. But I just have to tell you something. If that's okay."
(he dares interrupt your beauty sleep... How could he. he knows you value your sleep, so this must be very important. You nod, you need to know now.)
Isabeau: "okay, okay, okay. then i shall tell you the thing! the thing i woke you up to tell you! hahaha! Okay , um , so , the thing i have to tell you, is, its uh, its that uh... idonthaveanythingtotellyourightnow. nope nothing, i will just uh, tell you after we beat the king! deal!"
(this is the most ominous , second shoe sounding thing you've ever heard)
Siffrin: "That is so blinding ominous, isa."
Isabeau: "I-It's not meant to be???" i just uh , dont wanna tell you right now. so I'll uh tell you when we beat the king."
(what is it he wants to tell you? it seems very important to him, so the only real thing you can say is)
Siffrin: "alright , isa."
Isabeau: "...okay!-"
(isabeau is hit by a pillow)
Bonnie: "SOME PEOPLE ARE TRYING TO SLEEP YOU CRAB!"
Mirabelle: "YEAH, ISABEAU! SOME PEOPLE ARE TRYING TO SLEEP! CLOSE YOUR MOUTH AND SLEEP!"
Isabeau: "YOU CLOSE YOUR MOUTH HOUSEMAIDEN! YOU'RE GONNA WAKE UP MADAME ODILE!"
Odile: "I am already up. If the noise continues I will stand up. you do not want to know what will happen if I stand up."
Bonnie: "sorry"
Isabeau: "Sorry , Madame"
Mirabelle: "S-sorry."
(you apologize too right? you kind of indirectly caused this by responding to isa.) Siffrin: "sorry odile."
Odile: "siffrin dont apologize, you weren't yelling after all."
Isabeau: "good night sif!"
(you fall back asleep, almost as soon as you wake up you all get ready and walk to the house.)
(the massive lightless gate stands before you, a looming obstacle. the grass dark as the night sky...) siffrin: "the dark grass it looks... familiar somehow. like-"
(the massive lightless gate stands before you, a looming obstacle, there is no going back. for a second you're able to catch odile looking at you but quickly looks back at the gate she looked confused about something ... weird. the smell of burnt sugar lingers in the air.)
isabeau: "So these are the houses gates huh? they're bigger than I thought. So imposing!"
Odile: "it really is locked shut, i can see the spaces for us to put the orbs."
Mirabelle: "this whole adventure , this whole journey, after all this time, i can finally open it !!"
Bonnie: "I have my orb!"
isabeau: "Let's get it started then!"
(you all place the orbs in the spaces and the gate opens you walk into the house)
(the first hallway, nothing too interesting, there's pillars , some walls... time for the next hallway, nothing much, some walls, pillars. nevermind theres a-)
Mirabelle: "oh! there's sadness!"
Odile: "ah a sadness huh? the house must be crawling with them."
Mirabelle: "oh um uh everyone , lets uh... "
isabeau: "alright dont get overwhelmed mirabelle."
Odile: "Come on... we've seen tons of those already."
Bonnie: "dont worry belle! We can beat them easy!"
Mirabelle: "uh y-yeah!"
(Mira seems overwhelmed, maybe talking things over will help her out) Siffrin: "oh my, should we go over our strategy again mirabelle~?"
mirabelle: "D-Dont tease me siffrin!!! but um yes! so first siffrin should-"
odile: "yes yes we know, before that though, bonnie stay behind us, we don't want you getting hurt"
Bonnie: "I still don't like this..."
Isabeau: "Hey the sadnesses here just are too strong for you to fight, that's why you're in charge of snacks , and the tonics!! That's a super duper important job you know , bonbon! the super duper importantist"
Odile: "dont patronise the kid"
Bonnie: "yeah dont par-tin-ize me , za."
Mirabelle: "hehehe..."
Siffrin: "all good , mira?"
Mirabelle: "all good!!!"
(you smile)
Isabeau: "Alright, it's monster time!!!"
(you enter the fight you already know the whole strategy, you answer the questions when you're asked , odile explains her examine thing, mira seems happy though so you don't think you'd skip this even if you could go back.)
(you're hit by the sadness, better you than any of them but OW)
Bonnie: "my TIME!"
(Bonnie hands you a sour tonic, must be one of the things odile bought at the shop.)
Siffrin: "thanks ,bonnie" (you'll have to pay more attention to the sadness's that thing hits harder than you thought it would.)
(Isabeau finishes the sadness off. the battle ends. you breath in and out)
Isabeau: see mira , it wasn't too bad!"
Mirabelle: "y-yeah!"
Bonnie: "the rest of the house'll be a piece of cake!"
(you smile and take the lead continuing through the hallway into the next room))
Mirabelle: "oh more sadnesses..."
Odile: "we may have to fight them.. or we could just as easily run past them. What do you think we should do Mirabelle?"
Mirabelle: "oh uh i ... could we skip past them? I want to keep moving."
Siffrin: "alright mira, but if you want to keep going over the strategies we can."
Mirabelle: "No. We should keep going. We shouldn't waste too much time."
(you guess, but you're asking mira about this later. you dodge the sadnesses and keep moving.)
(The next room has a locked door and two non locked doors. you go left, everything always goes right when you go left, especially at crossroads.)
Isabeau: "OH! storage room!"
Odile: "I see some tonics on the tables, we should get those."
Isabeau: "there might be some in the closet so make sure to check that too!"
Odile: "yes and don't forget to give them to ,boniface."
(you give a quick nod and walk over to the center table, you grab the tonics but before you can check what they are , the tonics are ripped from your grasp by bonnie.)
bonnie: "... dile said I'm on tonic duty."
(you give the rest of the tonics on the table to Bonnie. you move on to the closet, there's some crafted water. you give them to bonnie.)
(you move on to the next table some sour tonics, you pick them up and give them to bonnie.. there's a spider where the tonic was, poor guy must've been frozen by the king's curse.)
bonnie: "frin whats with the face? you look like you just saw a cat."
Siffrin: "Spider got frozen by the king's curse."
(Bonnie takes a few steps back.)
Bonnie: "ew spider!."
(spiders are cute though.)
(you let it go. since you've checked all you could you move on to the next open room, there better be a key there, since those are the only two rooms that aren't locked)
(ooh there's something sparkling there. you walk up to it. What's this sparkling thing? Oh, it's a key! could it be the key to the door! probably, right? you pick up the key)
(you got the circle key. the keychain dangling from it is shaped like a circle inside a circle inside a circle.)
siffrin: "whats up with the circles"
mirabelle: "the design on the keychain you mean? It's one of the symbols of the change belief. It shows that we're all a part of something bigger! We're the first circle inside a bigger circle inside a bigger circle!."
Isabeau: "it's also apart of a housmaidens uniform"
bonnie: "like belles brooch!"
Mirabelle: "yes! This is how I decided to wear it, but you can wear it however you want- as a neckless, a design on your clothes, or not at all! breaking traditions is also a part of the change belief!"
Odile: "and the teardrops on your brooch?"
Mirabelle: "pretty. goes ding ding when i walk"
Isabeau: "don't you love when things go ding ding when you walk."
Odile: "sure do"
(... something claws at your brain to comment but... you let it go.)

(you put the key in your pocket and lead the way to the door finally leading you to the next room, as soon as you unlocked the door a flash of light appears and there's now a glowing tiny star thing float just above the floor)
Odile:"what the- what was that?"
Siffrin: "you guys saw that light right?"
Mirabelle: "a light?"
(you should check this.)
Isabeau: "something wrong sif?"
(you point towards the light)
Odile: "yes siffrin that is odd. i dont even know what that is, a small dot of light there"
(okay so odile sees it! Why does everyone else look confused?)
Isabeau: "Madame, sif , are you two okay?"
Mirabelle: "Do you want us to take a break?"
(stars this is NOT going as planned, you reach out and touch the light... everyone was healed... you should keep moving before they start thinking you and odile hit your heads on something.)
(you lead the way into the next room)
Mirabelle: "WAIT!!!"
Bonnie: "GWAH what was that!!"
mirabelle: "sorry for screaming, sorry, sorry.. but i um... I don't know if this is relevant but I um... I recognize this corridor... the head housmaiden used to warn the housemaidens of this corridors and and i think she called it the death corridor"
Odile: "oh?"
Isabeau: "That sounds bad."
Mirabelle: "So I um..."
Odile: "the house is supposed to be a safe building, but with the king here some traps may have activated. Is that what you mean, mirabelle?"
(traps? traps?) siffrin: "a job for me then"
Odile: "it IS your job."
Isabeau: "Protect us ,trap master siffrin!"
(not the first time you've had to reasure mirabelle. the others go to sit off to the side and you check the pillars and the walls EVEN THE FLOORS BUT.... nothing is found. just a bunch of boring pillars and broken pillars.)
Mirabelle: "...nothing?"
(you check some more pillars OH THERES SOMETHING HERE)
Mirabelle: "did you find something?"
(yep you found a whooole lot of nothing)
(you weren't able to find anything after all that soo..)
Mirabelle: "so??? so??? are we safe? we're not safe are we, this is the death corridor... the older housemaidens kept saying people have died here! so there must be a trap,maybe something weight sensitive or something! or maybe something time sensitive if we stay here too long then!?"
(oh come on) siffrin: "there's nothing here."
Mirabelle: "BUT THERE MUST BE!!!"
Isabeau: "oh mirabelle..."
Bonnie: "Belle Belle , don't worry about it! frin isn't good at many things but they know traps!"

Odile: "right, if we can't trust the one that's supposed to lead us THIS early, this won't bode well for later..."

Siffrin: "We're not dead yet, are we?"
Odile: "we HAVE been in this room for a while... if there was anything time sensitive it would've gone off by now. and siffrin has been running around the whole room checking things, if there was something weight sensitive siffrin would be dead by now."
Isabeau: "yeah see? were"
Mirabelle: "oh... yeah! okay yeah!... I'll believe you all now... sorry for worrying... I'm a little on edge..."
Siffrin: "We're good."
(you step back into the middle of the room) Siffrin: "see?"
Siffrin: "Everything's fine!"
(as you live through the novel experience of getting your entire body crushed by a giant rock, you feel a tug on your stom ach. and)
(you died.)
