"We did it!"
"Yeah we did it Lookout! Highfive!"
The two slapped their hands together in a highfive in a way to celebrate after finally managing to force Freakity back to where he came from. Both let out a laugh and Lookout said his infamous "lets go" verse, if thats what its called.
Veritys face scrunched up a bit before turning into that familiar sinister smile.
"Mm, that felt good~"
Lookout rolled his eyes at that.
"Naah not again..."
He rasped sarcastically before turning into his own serious composure.
"Alright, am I free to go now? You promised that, right?"
"Of course Lookout! A promise is a promise, go on with your life! I'll be fine right here!"
Verity flashed a bright smile that didnt really reach his eyes and the fact that the corners of his smile were twitching a bit. He didnt want to let Lookout go, but he promised to, and he hated to break that promise. So he had no other choice but act fine and just let it go, even though he would always remain in Lookouts Minecraft world.
"Actually..."
Verity snapped back into his senses as he heard Lookout speak.
"What is it Lookout?"
"I think I'll stay instead."
"Wait what?"
Verity tensed up, not from shock or fear, from the unexpected choice that Lookout said out loud. He... wanted to stay? Oh Verity would be so glad to have him here, even though hes annoying as fuck and manages to piss him off every time, theres something about him that makes him hesitate to actually cause any serious harm.
"You'll stay? With me?"
"Yeah, I guess"
Lookouts voice came out softer than it was supposed to, and that was something you would rarely hear from his bitchy mouth.
"Are you serious?"
Verity still couldnt believe it, he needed to hear it again, to make sure Lookout was actually serious about it.
"Naah dude, you just want me to say it again. I. Am. Staying. And. Its. True."
At that, Veritys face lit up and he bounced at Lookout, wrapping his arms around him and hugging him tight. Lookout was about to speak but his words got stuck in his throat when he felt Verity kiss his cheek.
"What the- Dude you are so sus, you can stop hugging me now!"
Lookout squirmed under Veritys embrace, desperately trying to break free. There was a faint red blush on his cheeks that didnt seem to go away. Finally, Verity let go of him, letting the man take a step back and catch his breath. When Lookout finally found his words, a faint breathy "Lets go" could be heard.
"Alright... Alright... Im gonna go mining then. You can maybe fix my house in the meantime so you wont get bored or something."
With that, he turned on his heel and walked out of the building. Verity immediately went after him, demanding for him to take him with him.
-----
After some mining and collecting supplies both men returned to the half broken building. Lookout took a good look at that building and sighed, it needs to be rebuild if he was gonna stay here. He turned his head to look at Verity.
"Yo Verity, fix my home bro."
Verity gave a polite smile and shook his head gently.
"Sorry, I cant do that, do you remember what I said about this vessel limiting me?"
"... You are so fucking lazy, man."
"But I can remove the nether blocks, the rest youre gonna fill"
"Alright, that works."
So, with the snap of Veritys fingers, the nether blocks disappeared completely, leaving a half destroyed wooden house, which repairing was completely Lookouts work. After some time placing the wooden blocks back on the house, the building was back in its original form.
"Great jop Lookout!"
Verity cheered while clapping his hands, that only earned a "tsk" from Lookout.
"Shut it with your yet again glazing bro."
"Whaat? Cant I cheer you after a hard work?"
"Whatever man, Im just glad that my base is done."
A hand suddenly pulled Lookout close by the waist and Verity leaned down slightly.
"Its OUR base now, just you and me, all alone~"
Verity whispered, a hint of flirtiness in his tone. His hand gripped Lookouts waist tighter, wanting to get a reaction out of him.
"SHUT UP WHO TOLD YOU THAT."
Lookout pulled away, swatting Veritys hand off. To be honest, Verity got a bit irritated, that wasnt really the reaction he expected because he though maybe Lookout would have softened up for him, but no, hes still in his original cocky self.
Verity still kept that smile on his round face, taking a step foward towards the building. He turned his head to look at Lookout, seemingly waiting for him to come inside with him.
"So, shall we go inside now?"
Lookout nodded and got inside. Verity held the door open for him and even closed it after he got fully inside.
"You know I can open doors on my own, right?"
Said Lookout while he put unwanted things into his chests.
"Whats the problem with being a little polite~"
That got a little hum out of Lookout as he was done with sorting his things. He got back up on his feet and streched a bit.
"Goddamn, all that mining and building drained my energy."
"You should take a nap then, dont worry, Im here with you."
"And thats worse."
Lookout remarked sarcastically. That made Verity mutter something under his breath before he decided to follow Lookout upstairs where his bed was. Both looked at the empty space, well, there was one singular bed tho.
"Um, theres only one be-"
"You will sleep outside."
Verity was interruped by Lookout as he pointed out the window. Verity shook his head and placed a hand on Lookouts own pointing one and lowered it. He snapped his fingers again, and a white bed appeared besides the other one.
"Dude, were not sleeping together, thats hella sus."
Lookout snorted and grabbed the edge of his own bed, planning to move it father away from Veritys own, but before he could do that, his wrist that was grabbing the edge got pulled back, and Verity moved it close to his cheek.
"But I'll feel so cold then, heres no fire to warm up this place, and the only way we can keep warm is by staying close together~"
"Wha- How??"
Veritys smile widened as he rubbed his cheek against Lookouts hand.
"Body heat, obviously. We warm up each other by staying close, its that simple! We can just lay down, enjoy each others company and maybe give each other little goodnight kisses~"
"AYO?? Thats so weird IM NOT SLEEPING WITH YOU BRO."
Despite that, Lookout didnt move away or pull his hand from Veritys cheek, he just let him rub his cheek against it. The same red blush started forming on Lookouts cheeks once more as he realised he didnt actually despise this at all, he seemed to... like it, he liked Veritys company.
"Relax, its just us, Lookout~"
With that, Verity hugged Lookout from behind and pulled him down on the double bed. He made sure to keep a tight grip, but not too tight so Lookout could atleast breathe. Verity buried his face into the crook of Lookouts neck, nuzzling it in the process.
Lookout still didnt protest, he just let it happen, because what was there to do anyway, he enjoyed this. Slowly, he sank himself deeper into Veritys embrace and let out a sigh, not a disappointed one, more like something you let out once you feel safe and comfrotable.
"Hey, Lookout, I want to ask you something."
Verity didnt bother lifting his face from Lookouts neck, he just mumbled it straight into his skin, atleast his words were understandable still.
"Yea?"
"Why did you decide to just... stay... You wanted to get out so bad, so whats the sudden change?"
Lookout was quiet for some time after that, thinking that should he tell him or not, but he decided to speak anyway.
"Well uh... I mean you were pretty freaky at the start, and kind of annoying too, but after some time I realised that... this isnt bad at all... I mean, I like fucked up things, so thats probably why Im kind of like attached to you now... And after that, I didnt even know if I could feel normal again if I left... So thats why..."
Lookout turned his head to face Verity.
"... *I'll stay*."
