HEY! READ THIS!

WARNING, THIS FIC CONTAINS SPOILERS FOR POKÉMON VIOLET, AS WELL AS OMORI.

THIS ALSO INCLUDES A RENDITION OF THE EVENTS OF OMORI’S BAD ENDING. SENSITIVE TOPICS WILL BE INCLUDED.

Sorry for yelling, I just needed to get that out of the way. This has been a ridiculous concept that I’m impressed I hadn’t seen yet.

Tags did mention that we will get to DLC, and that the tags will be modified as they go. I don’t wanna bait my readers on a single ship tag for months.

Chapter 1: The Opposite of The Intentions of Suicide.

Chapter Text

Sunny opened his eye to see the hospital lights beating down on him. His breath slowed as he gained a grip on himself.

It was time. Get up, murderer.

He climbed out of his hospital bed, and dragged himself to the door.

Sunny had no intention of going to Basil’s room.

He stumbled through the halls, finally climbing up to the roof. The railing had broken off at one point, leaving an open walkway to open air.

One step closer, then another.

It’s a long way down. Do you want to jump?

Sunny took a deep breath, and stepped right off of the roof.

He felt the wind around him as he fell, descending rapidly towards the ground.

It was finally over.

Omori was right. He should just die.

Sunny slammed against the ground, and then…

Nothing.

Just… darkness.

Just darkness?

He felt like he was floating in nothingness. Then, a light glimmered before him.

WAS GOD REAL?

Oh fuck, he was going to hell, for sure.

“Sunny.” A disembodied voice spoke to him.

Sunny croaked out a response, “Are you…?”

“God, yes.” The voice answered.

“So,” Sunny said, “Am I going to hell?”

“You are not going to hell. Nor are you going to any afterlife.”

What.

“I believe that you fail to understand something important. So, I’ve made a deal to hand you over to someone else. You’ll be reborn into another world. I am not God in that world, although there is one. So, I ask that you live your life in this world.” The voice told him.

“What do you mean?” Sunny asked.

The voice answered, “You’re going to be reborn into another world. I hope you learn something. And I suppose, I’ll leave you with a parting gift.”

A pokeball appeared before Sunny, floating right in front of him.

“I’ll leave it on your nightstand when you wake up. And don’t worry about not knowing things about your past in this world, you’ll get some help.”

Before Sunny could even ask a question, the light encompassed him, sending him to his new world.

A warm light beamed down onto Sunny’s face.

Where the hell was he?

He rolled over in his bed, and saw a pokeball on his nightstand, as well as a booklet?

Sunny reached over and grabbed the booklet. Uva academy? He flipped through a few pages.

So it looked like he was about to attend this academy. Judging by the looks of it, he was showing up roughly mid second year.

Sunny sat up in his bed. The pokeball was still on the nightstand. He picked it up, and gave it a toss.

Out popped a Pokémon that was a sword in its sheath, with a blue cloth coming off of the handle. A Honedge.

“You’re my parting gift… Well, it’s nice to meet you.” Sunny said, holding out a hand.

The Honedge’s cloth moved to rest on Sunny’s hand, as if it was comforting him in this new moment.

“…Thanks…” Sunny sighed, “Alright, back in your ball.”

The Honedge went back in its ball calmly. Sunny clipped it onto his waist, before looking around his room.

So he was in Paldea, that’s what the region he was in was. He wasn’t dead, or did he die and get resurrected? Nothing about it made sense, but nobody’d believe him.

Sunny looked over to see a neatly folded up uniform. Right. They had a school uniform.

Violet shorts? Feels a bit… tacky?

Ehh, best not to make a scene. Just get into the uniform.

Sunny got changed, and as he reached for the door…

“And one more thing. You’ve been added into this universe. You should know that you have a twin brother here. His name is Florian.”

Sunny nearly jumped out of his skin. “What?”

“You’ll need someone you can immediately trust. The necessary backstory will come naturally to you.” The disembodied voice explained.

After pulling himself back together, Sunny stepped out of his room. He walked through the house, eventually finding the woman who he knew was his mom in this world.

And next to her, stood a boy. Around Sunny’s age, his hair was a bit lighter, with brown eyes, and a smile on his face. That was Florian. No doubt about it.

He approached them, only for his mother to cheerfully say, “Good morning, Sunny! You’re already in your uniform too.”

Wow, these people had a lot more happiness in their soul than Sunny did.

“However, as I was just telling your brother, you might want to wait before you go running out the door.” Their mother said. “The school told me that you two are supposed to wait here a little while longer.”

Sunny tilted his head. “Why would they not have us just go there?”

“This school is a bit more unorthodox.” Florian said, “They might be doing something special for us.”

DING DONG

Well, that was probably the school.

The now brothers both walked towards the door, but it opened on its own.

“Do forgive the intrusion.”

An older gentleman walked through the door, judging by his appearance, and the suit, he was likely someone for the school.

He turned to address them, “You would be Master Florian, and Master Sunny, correct? On behalf of the Academy, I must apologize for the late arrival of your enrollment documents.”

“Ah, and also for my delay in introducing myself.” The man said, “I am the director of Uva academy. You may call me Mr. Clavell.”

Bingo. Sunny was right.

“The director? And you came to help my boys on their first day?” Their mother said.

“Well, I am responsible for the entire academy- including any failures on its part…” Mr. Clavell said, handing Sunny and Florian’s documents to their mother. “So here at last are the enrollment documents that should already have been delivered to you.”

Well, this has been… kinda boring. Sunny spaced off for a moment, his mind wandering back to the world he knew before. He made up for what he did, right?

Right?

Sunny was snapped out of his trance by his mother speaking up. “Sunny, Florian, why don’t you two grab your things? I have a bit to discuss with the Director.”

Sunny walked back to his room, he went to pick up his bag, when he saw his reflection.

He had his eye back.

So he got a little extra as well.

Sighing, Sunny slung his bag over his shoulder, and made his way back out.

“Look at you two, all dressed up for your first day!” Their mother eagerly said.

“Yes,” Director Clavell said, “The uniform of our storied academy suits you two well.”

“I had entirely forgotten that I’ve something else for you two. A most important thing.” The Director added before turning out the door.

Well, there’s an easy bet for what it is.

“Come on, let’s go see!” Florian eagerly said, rushing out the door.

Following suit, Sunny dragged himself along, stepping outside.

The surprise was already revealed to Florian. Before him, stood three Pokémon.

One was Sprigatito, the grass cat Pokémon, one was Fuecoco, the fire croc Pokémon, and lastly, one was Quaxly, the Duckling Pokémon.

“The Director went on ahead to that house over there, we both have to decide one Pokémon to choose!” Florian cheered.

“Kitty…” Sunny stared at Sprigatito.

“Now, before you two run off, I have something to give you.” Their mother said, handing them each a rotom phone. Florian’s was red, and Sunny’s was black.

Florian started down the path, “Come on! We get to pick when we reach the house down there!”

If Florian got first pick… then Sunny might not get Sprigatito…

Sunny broke into a sprint after his brother, determined to have the grass cat as his companion.

The two practically burst through the gateway, along with the Pokémon. The Pokémon started to thrive in the courtyard, until a girl with a ponytail and a dyed green strand pet Fuecoco.

“Are you two the trainers of these three?” The girl asked.

Director Clavell appeared beside her, “Not yet, they still need to decide their choices.”

“Buenas! We haven’t met, have we?” The girl asked.

The girl paused, turning her head to Director Clavell, “Hang on Director, are they… who I think they are?”

“Yes, these are our academy’s newest students, Florian, and Sunny.” The Director answered.

“So you’re the two that moved in up the road!” The girl said, “I’ve been dying to learn more about you guys!”

“I’m Nemona! Normally, I live in the school dorms, but home is here. Whaddya say, new neighbors, wanna be friends?” Nemona introduced herself.

“Sure!” Florian answered eagerly. “I’m Florian.”

Sunny sighed, “I don’t see why not. As you could tell, I’m Sunny.”

“Woah, you two are like, polar opposites! I would have expected him to be named Sunny!” Nemona remarked.

Ouch. That stung, way to call Sunny a buzzkill. He wasn’t that depressing… right?

Oh right. Sunny was here because he killed himself.

Director Clavell spoke up, “Nemona is President of our student council, and a champion-ranked trainer in her own right.”

“Champion Rank?!” Florian exclaimed.

Ohh boy. That was an omen for the two of them.

“I absolutely love Pokémon battling! In fact, we should have a battle right now! Nemona said.

Please not now.

“Easy now, you and Florian will be in the same class, so you’ll have plenty of time to battle later.” Director Clavell interrupted. “And get to know one another better, of course.”

“On that note,” Director Clavell said, “Have you two decided on which Pokémon you want to be your partner?”

Florian stepped up first, “Yes I have!”

Please don’t pick Sprigatito…

Florian walked on over to the Pokémon, and picked the Quaxly up with both hands, “I choose Quaxly!”

They might have only started being brothers under an hour ago, but Sunny was eternally grateful.

After that, Sunny scooped up Sprigatito into his arms. “I’ve made my choice.”

After recalling Sprigatito into its ball, Sunny looked to see Nemona staring at him.

“I can’t believe you chose Sprigatito.” Nemona said, “I mean, way to make the perfect choice for you!”

“Can I take Fuecoco?” Nemona asked.

Director Clavell looked at her, “Did you not receive a Pokémon upon entering the Academy?”

Nemona shook her head, “No, I was raising other Pokémon at the time, but now I want to raise one alongside those two!”

“Indeed, a rather splendid idea.”

Fuecoco walked over to Nemona’s side, brushing up against her leg.

“Alright then!” Nemona cheered, “Now that we all have a Pokémon, we HAVE to battle!”

“Florian, you can do the honors this time.” Sunny said, trying to dodge the battle.

“I was actually thinking about battling you first, Sunny!” Nemona said, “Don’t think I haven’t seen that other pokeball on you!”

Fuck. He had Honedge too.
