Chapter Text
There were several things that Yuichiro had always had a hard time understanding. One of them was why humanity decided to form peace with vampires.
Granted, he had come to understand that it was the only way for everyone in the world to be safe from the four Horsemen of John, and there hasn't been any attacks since then. But still, what was the point? Won't the bloodsuckers just go back to harming other humans?
He had tried arguing with Guren about that logic, but his guardian/mentor always dismissed him with "it was for the best" or "that was what they decided, so shut up and deal with it". Sometimes the raven haired boy wondered why he even considered training under the bastard in the first place. Ever since he lost his family four years ago, Yuu grew a bitter hatred for the bloodsuckers that was far stronger than anything in this universe. He joined the Imperial Demon Army in order to avenge his family from the Hyakuya sect, but knowing that he would possibly be executed for breaking the treaty, he had to save his revenge for later in the possible future.
Giving a sigh, the boy decided that now would be a good time to explore around the area he was guarding, tipping the hat he wore and flipping the cape with the wind as he walked around.
Recently, the asshole thought it would be a good idea to have him guard some part of Shibuya solo, and give the rest of the Shinoa squad a mission. Yuu has a hunch that Guren was doing this just to piss him off, because that bastard has done so half a million times already. One of these days, the youth was going to have to find a way to get back at his so called father figure.
Just before his thoughts could go any further, a flash of white zipped passed him, making the boy fall flat onto his back because of the force of speed.
"Gah! Hey!!" He shouted angrily, sitting up to search for the source of the flash until he spotted a figure in a white cloak, which was no doubt a vampire soldier. "Hey, what're you doing here!?"
But right when he said that, said vampire took off in a millisecond, and there was no way Yuu was going to let the creature get away that easily. So like the persistent idiot he was, he grabbed his cursed gear and got up to chase after it. He doubted that he would be able to catch up with the intruder, but that obviously didn't stop him from trying to catch up with it. Of course he wished he could kill the vampire on the spot, but then he'd get in trouble. So his only option was to catch it and interrogate it.
Perhaps if it gave a threatening answer he'd be able to kill it.
Just as he was still thinking the white flash crashed into him, sending him toppling over, his weapon skidding across the ground in the dark. Damn it, why did it have to be night time?!
Before Yuu could gather his thoughts, a loud crash was heard and rocks came flying out of a building. He looked up to see a Horsemen of John had appeared, giving the boy danger signals to either get his weapon quickly and fight, or take his weapon and run as fast as he could. But of course we all know he is going to choose the former rather than the latter.
As he scrambled towards his sword, the Horsemen was going for him until it was split in two, blood flying before the monster fell to the ground. Questions rang through the boys head as a familiar white cloak landed in front of him. The vampire knelt beside Yuu until it removed the hood to reveal something that made the boys breathing stop.
What was revealed before him was a young man about his age with soft looking pale skin, wavy blonde locks that looked like it was a gift from the sun, and the most beautiful pair of sapphire blue eyes that possessed slits, proving that this person before him was a vampire. Yuu would feel ashamed to admit that the boy in front of him was breathtakingly beautiful, and he felt like he could get lost into the blue gems that belonged to him. He could see the pinkish lips moving and forming words that the raven couldn't make out.
Yuu blinked twice before asking, "What?"
The beautiful boy merely blinked expressionlessly before speaking again.
"Are you hurt?" The angelic boy asked.
Yuu practically melted right on the spot after hearing the boys voice. God, he even had the most beautiful voice on the planet. He had completely forgotten how to answer the question because of that heavenly voice.
"Are you going to answer?"
At that, the human frantically shook his head to get himself back into reality, blushing madly as he looked at the ground.
"Y-yeah, I'm fine!" He stuttered.
Seeming satisfied with the answer, the vampire got up and began to walk away. Yuu looked back up to continue to stare at the blonde beauty before remembering his weapon and reached out to grab his sword and then stand up.
Dusting himself off, he made sure to look presentable before looking to call out to his saviour. But he cut himself short when he realized that the blonde had vanished into thin air.
Yuu sighed in defeat and disappointment. Well, he better head back to Guren before he got into trouble.
Again.
