Chapter Text
MAY 16TH
Dean is in the dining room of the bunker, sitting in a chair and reading the newspaper. He's distracted, and it takes him a moment to realize that Castiel is sitting right next to him.
"Jesus Christ, Cas! You can't just jump up on people like that!" Dean exclaims, jolting up from his seat.
Cas responds calmly, "You seemed lonely."
"I'm not lonely, Cas. What the hell are you doing?" Dean sputtered.
"I'm an angel, Dean. I know what you are thinking." Cas stood up and walked closer to Dean, giving him a kiss on the cheek. Dean froze and immediately got flustered.
Dean patted Cas's shoulder and went to grab a snack from the kitchen. Cas followed him quietly. There were no words that were said, because they simply weren't needed.
Everything had changed since that night in Chicago.
