Work Text:
June Darby was a busy woman, as in a nurse attending various situations. Jasper wasn't a big town, nor did it have many people but the hospital was still busy. Then she also had to worry about her son, getting in trouble with robots from space, bent on saving and destroying the world.
Safe to say, June felt stuck in her routine. She sighed at herself while bringing a meal to the garage while humming. " Jack ? I'm coming in" she announced as she entered the garage.
It was empty except for a familiar blue bike. " Where's Jack? "
" He's visiting Miko along with raf, the kids are safe miss June, he's in good servos, bumblebee is with them too" she transformed and gave her a smile.
June sighed " without telling me? Then again he is growing up" she sat down and gave a weary smile towards the alien. Well she might as well enjoy the meal she made, it smelled good too.
Arcee didn't seem to mind as she performed some maintenance on herself. She wondered if this other being could understand her , it's been so long since she had other people in her home. It got lonely sometimes.
" Don't you ever feel... Stuck? Like every day feels the same."
"It used to feel the same on earth but with friends like mine and kids like yours, they definitely keep things busy."
" Mm I see... " She was admiring her, the way the light bounced off her, the odd yet charming face she had. All that became a motor bike, Wich was always so surprising... A good looking bike too.
" Miss June..."
" You can call me June, arcee. You're making me feel old " she chuckled as she finished the chicken and peas.
" Old? You're pretty young, I mean compared to me"
" You know, that strangely enough does make me feel younger" she really did feel a bit better, she tucked some of her hair behind her ear.
" Speaking of that, I think I got a solution for being stuck, grab a helmet and a jacket. We're going out"
When she said going out, she foolishly thought shopping or something like that. But she was glad to be wrong, because going out and riding Arcee was absolutely invigorating! She let out a victorious woop and gasped at being too loud.
" It's better when it's day outside! You get to see the scenery!
" I bet, woah! This is amazing!" She laughed, giddy with excitement!
The rest of the ride was so nice, watching the stars, but really it was just the wind in her hair , on her skin, the speed. She didn't even need to steer, Arcee was doing everything and well, it had been a very long time since she had trusted anyone to take care of her.
Eventually they both were back at her house, she thanked her for the ride. She had been breathless and sat down. " Thank you ... I didn't know I needed that"
" Glad I could help you out.... Maybe" the cybetronian paused, looking a little bashful. " We could do this again"
" Yes, I'd like that, thank you Arcee. " She found her so cute.
It looks like her routine was finally getting spiced up, and June Darby couldn't be more happy
