Chapter Text
The halls were empty, dark quiet, oddly quiet.
“ GET BACK HERE YOU MORON” Kaku sprinted towards Jabara who had a hold of Kaku’s white top hat. “COME AND TEAR IT OFF ME BASTARD” Jabara yelled back at the ginger. Hearing no foot steps behind him, he looked back, looked left, looked right , looked up. No one huh- weird
CRASH* Jabara feels a sudden heaviness on his back “AH- get off of me!” Jabara struggled under him despite Kaku build being the equivalent to a tree branch “ Release my hat now!” Kaku struggled to get the hat out of the older man’s grasp “both of you. Up. Now” a raspy voice announced from down the hall. Sending chills down both of the men’s spines, Kaku grabbed his hat and stood up placing it back on his head. Jabara looked up frustrated at the younger boy before turning his attention to the other man “ Don’t blame me for the noise. If anything he should get his ass beat” Lucci looked at Jabara, unamused by the statement.
Kaku already knew he was off the hook with Lucci for the most part, Lucci had always been patient with him. Of course this sparked questions around the lower Cipher pole teams and higher ups. “ Kaku we have a meeting in 10, so if you don’t want to be late I’d suggest you follow me” Lucci turned his back on the two and started walking away “EH- BUT HE-“ Jabara groaned loudly side eyeing Kaku who had a smug look on his face “I’ll get away next time you little shit” Jabara walked away as Kaku jogged to Lucci.
“ You two really have to be careful with the constant bickering, you know how Spamda gets” Lucci stuffed his hands into his pockets side eyeing Kaku. The shorter man let out a sharp laugh “ Well darn I suppose your right about that, but he did steal my stuff so he kinda deserved it don’t cha think?” Hattori flew in landing on Lucci’s shoulder. The two sat in a comfortable scilence for a few minutes before Kaku decided to break it. “ So whats this whole meeting about anyway?” Kaku adjusted his tie as Lucci placed his hand on the door handle. He shrugged opening up the door.

The two men walked out Kaku took a long breath out in disappointment covering his mouth Lucci was equally as pissed off by the meeting. “I’m not working with celestial dragons again. I’m usually on cloud nine 24/7 but Celestial dragons are the only people I’m unable to work with peacefully” Lucci nodded. The two started walking back down the hall to their rooms Lucci sighed “And when did they say we had to meet with that couple again? 2 weeks from now?” Lucci knew Kaku couldn’t stand the dragons. Truthfully every time Lucci even saw one he wanted to murder them and leave evidence, but not everyone can have what they want .
Kaku reached for his door handle before feeling a hand placed on his shoulder. He turned back looking at Lucci he raised an eyebrow “ What dose little kitty not want to be alone?” He teased Lucci “I-Er- no I wanted to discuss the operation in my room if you pleased” Lucci blushed at Kakus teasing but he’s gotten used to it for the most part atleast.
Kaku followed Lucci into his room taking a seat beside Lucci on his bed falling back to lay down. Lucci looked at the man beside him. Though the two never expressed it to anyone besides each other they did truly love one another. And moments like this was rare, where they just got to sit down by eachother and enjoy the company, and maybe enjoy more than just ‘company’.
Kaku placed his hands under his head placing one foot up on the bed. “ there is no information about the entire operation yet is there?” Lucci shook his head, slightly embarrassed. “But we still need to talk about this whole situation properly and professionally” Kaku sat back up setting his hat next to him. He listened to Lucci’s takes on the operation in reality he wasn’t listening to a word he didn’t know if it was the lack of sleep or he just loved Lucci’s voice all to much. But something about Lucci always had Kaku in a chokehold.
“Did you get all that Kaku?” Lucci looked at the ginger who was fast asleep leaned against his shoulder. “I guess not then-“
