Work Text:
Jimin had always liked Minjeong, ever since she handed her a triceratops band-aid for her knee after she fell rather spectacularly on the volleyball court of their elementary school. Back then, Minjeong was looking at her so cutely that she was momentarily distracted by the fact that her knee was all scraped up, blood trailing down and what-not. The girl with a cute, short bob had even offered her a hand - just how much more cute could she get? - which Jimin took hastily of course, there was no way she would refuse a pretty girl's help.
"How's your knee?" The girl spoke first, her voice just as cute as she looked, and Jimin swore she could have fainted on the spot.
"Um, I'm alright, thanks for asking."
"Hmm, are you sure? Maybe we should go to the nurse's office. You're still bleeding a bit."
"It's fine! I-I'll just patch it up with your band-aid, thanks!" With slightly trembling fingers, both from the adrenaline of her fall and from meeting the cutest girl she's ever seen in her life, Jimin tore open the paper of the band-aid and slapped it onto her knee, earning herself a grunt from the sudden contact with her wound.
"Haha, you don't have to act tough you know. I'm Minjeong by the way."
"J-Jimin. Thanks. For the band-aid. A-And for coming over. And I'm not acting tough-" Jimin attempted to regain her composure although she could feel the back of her neck begin to heat up.
Afterwards, the two sat down at a nearby bench and had their lunch, Minjeong offering some of her apple slices to Jimin so she could 'keep the doctor away', which only managed to melt Jimin's heart from just how cute and thoughtful she was. Through the shared giggles and conversations exchanged during their first lunch together, they learnt that they were actually in the same grade, but had yet to encounter each other before due to their totally opposite timetables. Technically, Jimin was a year older than Minjeong, but since Minjeong was born on the 1st of January, she had been 'upgraded' to join the students born a year earlier.
"Hey, I'm your unnie!" Jimin smirked, pointing to the younger girl sitting beside her.
"Come on, we're technically the same age!" Minjeong pouted, her lower lip sticking out ever so slightly, as she glared (or at least she tried to) at Jimin.
"Heh, don't worry, unnie's gonna protect you-" Jimin boasted as she thumped a hand over her chest, trying to assert dominance and show off just how strong and trustworthy she could be.
Minjeong could only sigh as she resumed eating her lunch, with Jimin still laughing heartily at her own confidence.
That was their first meeting ever, and Jimin knew from the get go that she was doomed the moment she saw her, and she probably still was now.
"How about we continue this at lunch?" The girl in front of Jimin bats her eyelashes flirtily as she caresses her bicep.
"Uhh, sorry. I already have plans for lunch. But I'll see you around?" Jimin checks her phone, clicking on her messages with Minjeong and running a hand through her hair.
The girl looks dejected, anyone would be, if their time with Yu Jimin, the ace of Seoul High School's volleyball team, was cut short. Termed the most popular athlete in school, Jimin has a wolf cut that falls down to her shoulders and strong shoulders that fill out her volleyball jersey nicely, emphasizing her 'bad girl' look that drives all the girls crazy.
Meanwhile, Jimin is already busy typing away a response.
Mindoongie: I'll be late to lunch
Mindoongie: Save me a seat pleasee
Jimin-ie: okayyy, do you need me to get anything for u?
Jimin-ie: [sticker sent]
Her teammate and second best friend Ryujin, after Minjeong of course, glances over her to take a peek at her phone and snorts, "Simp much? You didn't even spare that girl a glance, poor thing."
"Shut up, she was the one coming on to me." Jimin finally looks up from her phone and gives Ryujin a shove before she throws her training bag into her locker.
"When are you gonna confess? It's getting depressing seeing you act like a loser whenever Minjeong pops up."
"What?! N-No, I'll explode before I get a chance to do that. Besides, I'm not even sure if Minjeong likes me..." she sulked, her brows beginning to furrow at the thought.
"Are you stupid? You two obviously like each other- You know what, nevermind. Let's go." Ryujin sighed, pulling Jimin by the collar towards the canteen.
"Hey, let go- Ugh!"
20 minutes after Jimin and Ryujin have met up with Aeri and Ningning, who are also in their circle of friends, Minjeong appears at the corridor leading to the canteen. She looks around a few times, trying to locate her friends before she sees familiar faces waving to her and makes her way to the table, sliding into the empty seat that Jimin has left for her.
"Hey, thanks for saving me a seat."
"Here Minjeongie, I managed to grab the last chicken cutlet for you." Jimin beams proudly as she places it into her hands, before boasting that she made sure it was at just the right temperature for her to eat it now - she had painstakingly blown on it for the past 10 minutes to make sure that Minjeong wouldn't get burnt if it was too hot.
"Thanks Jimin-unnie." Minjeong whispers back gently as she nudges Jimin with her shoulder, an unspoken gesture that she often uses to express her gratitude.
"Ahem. Why'd you come so late though?" Ryujin breaks the little bubble between Jimin and Minjeong.
"O-oh. I had some student council stuff to settle, but it's all good now."
"You're so smart and capable, Minjeongie!" Jimin can't help but sing out praises for the shorter girl beside her, Minjeong's just so perfect to her.
A blush tints her cheeks as she nibbles at the cutlet, her free hand swatting at Jimin to get her to tone down her shows of affection, which only makes Jimin coo at her actions even more.
"God help us." The other 3 sat on the other end of the table groan in unison.
After lunch, the group begins to make their way back to the classroom to prepare for their next lesson - Math. It's Jimin's most hated subject. Don't get her wrong, she's relatively good at her studies, but if there's one thing she hates, it's math. Despite being a jock, she does well in most of her subjects, like Korean literature, Biology, (she's sure she'd ace Biology if she got to study anatomy with Minjeong though) and PE, of course. Meanwhile, she really struggles with Math and Geography. (she gets lost every lesson just like she gets lost in Minjeong's eyes)
"Ugh, Minjeongie, I hate math. Can we skip class and do something fun instead?" Jimin whines as she tugs on Minjeong's sleeve, desperate to escape the clutches of their upcoming math lesson. To make matters worse, they're learning about vectors today. Can you believe it? Jimin doesn't understand a single thing about their spatial placement or direction, or whatever. All she knows is she wishes she were in her bed, cuddled up with Minjeong-
"We can't, Jimin-unnie! I'm the student council president, they're gonna demote me if I cut class."
"Nooooo... Fine, I'll try to pay attention in class. Can we stop by this crepe store on the way home?"
"Oh! That reminds me, I won't be able to go home with you today. I've got some additional council meetings that I need to attend. Sorry, unnie."
"More meetings? That sounds tiring, Minjeongie. I'll wait for you and we can go home together?"
"Okay, but I end at 6pm. If it's too late you don't have to wait for me-"
"It's fine! I'll wait!" Jimin exclaims as her grip on Minjeong's sleeve tightens, she's so happy that she'll still get to walk home with Minjeong. Damn her student council meetings! They've been taking away her precious Minjeong from her more often lately!
Walking ahead of them, Ryujin, Aeri and Ningning turn around at the same time, staring at Jimin with a look that so clearly says, 'you're so down bad it's ridiculous', before resuming their commute back to the classroom. Jimin can't help it. She's just a girl who loves the company of her best friend. It doesn't help that said best friend is as perfect as she is, with how lovely, cute, caring, responsible, funny, delightful,... Jimin could go on forever listing all of Minjeong's excellent qualities.
"O-okay unnie, I didn't know you were so excited to go home together. I'll text you if I end early?"
Jimin nods eagerly, now a spring in her step as she leads them towards their classroom. Now that it's decided that they'll go home together, Jimin can't wait to conquer the rest of the day, especially that awful Math lesson. She thinks she can do anything as long as Minjeong's with her.
"Alright, that's it for today's lesson. I want to remind everyone that even though summer break is approaching, you still need to pass your upcoming exams, otherwise you need to come back to school to take supplementary lessons. I'm sure none of you want that, so please revise your work well. Yu Jimin, I'm looking at you. At this rate, you're going to have to come back everyday. That's all, thank you class." Professor Lee announced at the end of the gruelling 3 hour lesson, much to Jimin's relief, which turned to shock when she was singled out. Sure, she was aware that she was struggling with Math, but she didn't think she was *that* bad at it.
"Damn, Jimin. You'd better start grinding math everyday if you don't wanna miss out on our plans for summer break." Aeri gives Jimin a sympathetic look as she pats her on the shoulder.
"Hahaha! I can't believe he called you out in front of the whole class like that!" Ningning erupts into laughter the moment Professor Lee steps out of the class, clutching her stomach with how hard she's laughing.
"Stop it! That was so mean! I can't do this, guys-" Jimin wailed, both hands clutching her head as she glared daggers at Ningning.
"Hmm, why don't you get Minjeong to tutor you? She's 1st in class for a reason." Ryujin suggested, wiggling her eyebrows suggestively at Jimin.
"W-What?! I don't wanna burden Minjeongie..."
"That sounds good! I'll tutor you, Jimin-unnie. That way I can get practice as well and hopefully you can pass your exams. Then we can all hang out during summer break. Are you okay with that, Jimin-unnie?" Minjeong nods at the suggestion, breaking into a smile as she locks eyes with Jimin.
The sudden eye contact makes Jimin flush bright red and she stands up suddenly, rubbing the back of her head as she nods back fervently, too embarrassed to say anything.
"Great! That settles it, we should have our first tutoring session this weekend at my house. Come over at 10?"
"Y-Yeah..."
"Come on, Jimin. Aren't you glad I helped you score tutoring sessions with the love of your life? You should be thanking me right now-" Ryujin grumbles, clearly unsatisfied with Jimin's lack of reaction.
"T-Thanks, I guess... What am I gonna doooo-"
"Huh? What're you saying?"
"I mean, I'm going to have 1-on-1 tutoring sessions with Minjeongie! How am I gonna focus-" Jimin cries. Her steak really is too juicy and her lobster too buttery.
Slap!
Ryujin calmly placed both her hands on either side of Jimin's face, "Yu Jimin! Get a grip! Now's your chance to tell her how you really feel - Once she sees just how locked in you can be, she's gonna fall head over hells for you! And that's when you swoop in and confess! You better not let this chance go to waste, or I swear I will beat you up-"
She nods. R-Right. Jimin has to make this work. It's now or never. After all, she's spent the past 7 years crushing on Minjeong, and she's somewhat sure Minjeong likes her back too. She's just not sure if she can stop herself from being so loserish around Minjeong well enough to actually confess. Whatever. She can do this. She can do this, right?
Jimin finds herself doing some math questions Minjeong assigned to her while she waits for her in the library. While she does hate solving those equations, she'll do anything if it meant making Minjeong happy. So, she takes up her pen and starts applying whatever formula she can think of while she counts down the hours before she'll get to see Minjeong again.
Her perseverance doesn't last long. Not even 30 minutes has passed before she groans into her worksheet, the numbers and letters not making an ounce of sense to her. Why does math even have letters anyway? She picks up and phone and clicks onto her chat with Minjeong, muscle memory she supposes, and begins her usual 'bothering Minjeong with stickers'.
Jimin-ie: [sticker sent]
Jimin-ie: [sticker sent]
Jimin-ie: minjeongieeeee, r u ending soon?
Mindoongie: Unnie! Are you done with the worksheet?
Mindoongie: Nope... Maybe in an hour or so
Mindoongie: We're discussing the budget for some upcoming events, ttyl!
Jimin-ie: noooo, i just missed u
Jimin-ie: and i'm only halfway done
Jimin-ie: okayy i wont bother u
Jimin-ie: [sticker sent]
Sighing, Jimin puts her phone on the table and goes back to her worksheet. She knows that if she completes it before Minjeong comes back, she'll likely get rewarded with a pat on the head and some praise, and if she's lucky she might even get a hug! From Minjeong! Did she mention that Minjeong gives the best hugs ever? Like her hugs are seriously so warm, so comfortable, so full of love that Jimin feels like she can melt right in Minjeong's arms. She's thinking about Minjeong again.
Jimin shakes her head, as if to clear her head from Minjeong, and resumes her attempt at the worksheet. Before she knows it, it's already 5:45pm.
Bzzz-bzzz. The vibration of Jimin's phone breaks her chain of concentration and she heaves a sigh of relief, discarding her pen on the table as she picks up her phone. She knows immediately it can only be Minjeong. Jimin always turns on 'study' mode on her phone whenever she's doing work, and she's set it up such that only Minjeong's notifications are allowed to disturb her moments of focus.
Mindoongie: I'm done, unnie!
Mindoongie: Coming to the library now
Jimin-ie: its ok i can come over
Jimin-ie: wait for me
Jimine-ie: [sticker sent]
Before Jimin can finish packing her things into her bag, she feels a small figure embracing her from behind. The scent of marshmallows and cotton candy assaults her senses before she actually sees Minjeong. She'd recognise that scent anywhere.
"Hi, unnie. I wanted to surprise you, hehe."
"Minjeong-ah, you could have waited for me to come to the council room."
"Mmhm, no it's fine. I wanted to come over first." Minjeong presses her nose into the crook of Jimin's neck and she feels herself physically melting into Minjeong's touch. She can't just sneak up on Jimin and then cuddle her like she belongs to her! Not that she's complaining though. Whatever Jimin wanted to say has been forgotten as they melt into each other, Jimin rubbing small circles on Minjeong's hands.
"Oh, should we get going?" Minjeong breaks apart first, suddenly remembering that they're still in the library, and scrambles to help Jimin put her things into her bag. Jimin smiles, her heartstrings tugging at the way Minjeong looks when she's shy.
The two then made their way home, hands unconsciously finding each other's while they talked about their day. Well, more like Minjeong yapped about her council meeting and complained about how some of the sports leaders were so stubborn on why she couldn't increase their budget. Jimin, who was walking on the side of the road closer to traffic, nodded intently as she watched Minjeong's tiny nose scrunch up with frustration, her heart bursting with joy that she was the one who got to see Minjeong vent like this. For a moment, Jimin could only focus on Minjeong's face as she took in all of the expressions she was making, even though she wasn't really listening anymore, at this point.
"Unnie, you're doing it again." Minjeong whined.
"Hm? What was I doing?"
"You were looking at me like that..."
"Like what?" Jimin pressed, observing that the smaller girl's neck and ears were already beginning to flush red.
"L-Like... you know what I mean-" Minjeong pouted, her bottom lip jutting out more prominently as she turned her face away, too embarrassed to look her in the eye.
"Hehe, you're just too cute, Minjeongie." Jimin chriped back with a smirk, her hand squeezing Minjeong's.
"W-Whatever! I'm going!"
With that, Minjeong slipped her hand from Jimin's and began to run away, Jimin hot on her heels as she yelled after her, "Wait for meeeeee-"
20th June 2026: Jiminjeong's 1st tutoring session
Before Jimin knows it, its already Saturday, which means its time for her very first official tutoring session with Minjeong! She dreads it, but at the same time she'll get to be with Minjeong for the day. She can't help but jump around her room excitedly for at least 10 minutes and spend the next half an hour picking out an outfit deemed presentable enough for Minjeong. Oh, she forgot to mention that she's had Ryujin on the phone ever since she woke up.
"Dude, just wear something you always wear. Not like she hasn't seen your closet already. Speaking about closets..." Ryujin groans through the line.
"Enough about closets! I have to wear something nice for her, you know. Help me pick something out!"
"Ughhh- just wear a jacket over your tank top."
"Okay, like this?"
"Yeah, whatever's fine. Now hurry up and get ready or you'll make a bad impression for being late, you doofus!"
"Oh, fuck- I'm gonna be late. Thanks, ryu. I'll call you again later."
She then hangs up the phone and struggles to throw her very fitting tank top and a leather jacket over herself while she trips over all the clothes lying on her floor. Whatever, she can deal with that later.
"Hi Minjeongie!" Jimin beams as Minjeongs opens her door, only to find a very disheveled Jimin standing at the door, panting like a golden retriever on a hot day.
"Unnie! Why are you sweating so much? And why are you wearing a jacket on such a hot day?" Minjeong asks with a puzzled look on her face as she invites the older girl inside, dapping a piece of tissue on her forehead and ushering her to the couch before handing her a class of cold water, just what Jimin likes and needs.
"N-Nothing, I thought I would be late so I ran-"
"Here, let me take off your jacket, you're sweating too much right now." Minjeong reaches out to pull her jacket off her shoulders, and Jimin could swear she saw Minjeong's eyes running across her shoulders and biceps. Is it hot in here or what? She makes a mental note to mention it to Ryujin later, because what was that?!
Flustered, Jimin jumps off the couch and points awkwardly, "S-Should we go to your room now?"
"Y-Yeah- of course!" Minjeong squeaks, pushing past Jimin as she leads the way to her room for them to finally begin their tutoring session.
"Okay, so we have our null hypothesis and alternative hypothesis, and when the mean lies within our critical value, we reject the null hypothesis in favor of the alternative hypothesis. Here, let's try this question." Minjeong pointed to a question on the worksheet she'd prepared for Jimin placed a scientific-graphing calculator in front of her. Oops, Jimin had totally forgotten to pack her calculator today. After much effort, Jimin finally managed to complete the first page of the worksheet, thanks to Minjeong's expert guidance and subtle hinting whenever she got stuck on a step. Her pen clattered noisily against the table as she sprawled on the floor, desperate to get away from the remaining questions that she still had yet to complete. Meanwhile, Minjeong was looking through her paper and scanning through every step meticulously, ensuring that her workings made sense. "Minjeongieeeee, let's take a break, I can't do this anymore!" Jimin cried out, her arms wrapped around herself as she tried to wriggle away from the desk. Minjeong all but giggled and tried to pull her back by the end of her tank top, "One more question. Just one more, please? Do it for me, unnie?" She then proceeded to use the most puppy-ish eyes and the baby-est pout Jimin had ever seen. Of course she couldn't say no to that. And so she was sat, back in her chair doing one more question just to please the cutest girl she's ever met in her life. "I'm done!" Jimin exclaimed, with tears of joy and relief in her eyes as she pushed the paper towards Minjeong. The younger girl took the paper into her hands, carefully reading through the working Jimin had just completed, and finally, after a gruelling 1 minute or so, her lips began to pull upwards into a smile. "Okay, you got it right! Let's take a break now."
They proceeded to move to the living room, where Jimin lay on Minjeong's lap, gesturing for her to feed her the honey butter chips that Minjeong had gotten from the pantry. Her head was nestled in between Minjeong's thighs comfortably, and her eyes were closed in pure bliss as she opened her mouth at timely intervals to signal that she had finished chewing. Meanwhile, Minjeong was fighting for her life trying to juggle feeding both Jimin and herself and scrolling through Netflix trying to find a show to put on. Every now and then she would momentarily pause her feeding when she got too engrossed in reading the synopsis for a movie that caught her eye, and Jimin would then start to grumble and shake at the lack of attention, throwing a mild tantrum while she was still nestled between Minjeong's plush thighs.
After much dilemma, Minjeong finally decided on the classic rom-com, "Clueless". The movie credits began as Jimin sat up from her very comfortable spot, because now she wanted to loop her arm around Minjeong's while she lay her head on her shoulder. Throughout the show, her hand would draw lazy circles on Minjeong's thigh, drawing out contented sighs from her little pink lips that Jimin wished she could just turn to and kiss-
Anyway, the rest of the movie continued on smoothly without any major interruptions, mostly from Jimin. Towards the end, Jimin began tightening her grip around Minjeong's arm, reluctant to let go. The end of the movie only meant the beginning of her torturous math session, and she would much rather stay on the couch here, clinging next to Minjeong. Somehow, Minjeong seemed to already know what Jimin was up to as she laughed silently to herself, attempting to loosen the death grip on her arm, earning herself a sulky glare from her unnie.
"Jeongieeee, I dont wanna go backk..."
"Come on unnie, we just have one more concept to complete."
Dreading to go back, Jimin turned to pull Minjeong into a hug, burrowing her face into the younger girl's shoulder, hoping she could weasel her way out. Too bad, Minjeong was the student council president for a reason. With a firm voice, she coaxed Jimin out from her hiding spot, "Just one more topic, then we can stop after. It'll be quick, I promise." With one eye peeking out, Jimin whispered in a small voice, as if she was a tiny cat hiding from her owner trying to give her a bath, "Promise?"
Minjeong nodded, wrapping her pinky around Jimin's before pulling her into a hug, which took her by surprise. Alright, Jimin was already motivated. Minjeong always knew how to make her feel better, even if she was technically being a brat.
"The value of the test statistic is the z-value, while the probability of observing from the sample is the p-value."
"What's the difference between the two?"
"Basically, the z-value tells us exactly how many standard deviations a data point or sample mean is away from the overall population mean, while the p-value is the probability of obtaining our observed data."
"Mhmm, I don't get it, aren't they the same thing? They're both under the curve." Jimin furrows her eyebrows in a moment of deep concentration, trying her hardest to understand why there are so many darn values she needs to remember for just one topic.
"Here, unnie, look at this graph. The z-value lies on the x-axis, but the p-value is an area under the curve." Minjeong points to her ipad, circling the 2 different terms in 2 different colors so Jimin can differentiate them better. She's always so sweet and thoughtful like that, trying her best to teach as simply as she can so Jimin can get it with that airhead of hers.
"Ohh, I think I understand it better now, thanks Minjeongie."
"Mhm, no problem, unnie. I'm glad." She then continues explaining the importance of values blah blah blah... Jimin's eyes light up suddenly and before she knows she's already blurting out, "Are you a p-value? Cause you're definitely significant to me."
Minjeong blinks. She blinks back. Then she groans and burrows her head in her hands, earning a giggle from Minjeong as she reels in embarrassment that's only just hitting her now.
"Sorry Minjeongie, that was so bad-"
"No, unnie, I thought it was cute! It just means you get the topic enough to make puns about it." Somehow, Minjeong makes her feel better about cracking a very horrible pick-up line in the middle of their tutoring session, and it makes her heart squeeze a little at just how patient and kind Minjeong is with her, even when she's probably the worst tutee she's ever had. She also makes a mental note to crack more puns/pick-up lines during their future sessions if it means she'll hear more of Minjeong's cute giggles that never fail to light up her day. You know what, she might be Minjeong's worst tutee ever but at least she can make her laugh. Yeah, Jimin's happy with herself today.
"Dude, I swear she looked at my biceps when she stripped me-"
"She what?! I did not know student president Kim Minjeong was physically capable of doing that-"
"No, dude, she just took my jacket off cause I was sweating like a dog."
"Wow, talk about bold. Did you address the elephant in the room after or what?"
"N-No, I panicked and we went to her room after."
"To do what?"
"To study, obviously. Bro, you've really gotta get your head out the gutter. It was PG, I swear-"
"Yeah, yeah, whatever you say. I'm telling you though, she wants you. Just make a move already, for God's sake-"
"Fineeeee, I'm already planning to confess if I pass my exams."
"Seriously?! Thank God. I was thinking I was gonna lose to that bet with Aeri and Ning about whether or not you'd confess before summer break or not."
"You what? You guys bet on me?"
"Oops, you weren't supposed to hear that, seeya twin!"
"Hey-" The call ended, leaving Jimin alone in her room completely helpless, still thinking about that moment with Minjeong. She didn't get any sleep that night.
23rd June 2026: Jiminjeong's 2nd tutoring session
It's currently a Tuesday night and Jimin's doing math voluntarily. Mostly because she's seated next to Minjeong, but also because she's mature like that. Their topic for today is graphs, which Jimin likes better, she gets graphs. Graphs is just about drawing and hitting certain points, right? She and Minjeong are both doing the same worksheet since Minjeong said she wanted to practice her graph drawing skills, which Jimin's really excited about. It's also totally not because Minjeong promised her with cuddles if she got more than 50% right, yeah, obviously not. She's not easily persuaded like that.
Jimin's basically buzzing on her chair as she grabs her curve ruler and begins sketching her first graph of the night, totally not peeking at Minjeong's worksheet to check if she's got the shape correct or not. With graphs, Jimin is visibly more relaxed and confident in filling out her worksheet as she takes her time to perfect her very round, very rotund oval. She finds it easy when there's a fixed formula she has to follow, all she has to do is insert numbers into said formula - and viola, she just has to connect the points on the graph paper to get a shape.
Before she knows it, she's breezing through three-quarters of the questions on her paper and decides she needs a break for being so good. And honestly, she has been a good girl. She's been Minjeong's good girl. She grins cheekily to herself, not realizing that Minjeong is poking her puffed out cheeks.
"I'm almost done, will you check the questions I've done so far?" Jimin nudges her face into Minjeong's finger.
"Okay, unnie. You're good at graphs, huh?"
"Yeppp!" Jimin exclaims, emphasizing the p as she leans against Minjeong's shoulder, her hands snaking across her slim waist and pressing against her tummy. She loves caressing Minjeong's slender waist, she could almost fit both her hands around it if she tried, and she just loves giving her light tummy massages, which she's come to learn that Minjeong enjoys as well, as shown by the cute noises she makes under her when she's pressing and pawing at her stomach gently.
She continues her ministrations for a while as Minjeong marks her answers, purring at how comfortable it is to be pressed against Minjeong, her sweet scent and warmth wrapping around her like a customized blanket.
"Unnie, you got everything right, except for these two. You forgot to draw in the asymptotes."
"Hmm, I must be an asymptote then, cause I'll always be tending towards you."
This gets a reaction from Minjeong as she laughs softly, giving Jimin light, playful punches from dropping another pick-up line out of the blue. She doesn't mind, she'll do anything if it means making Minjeong laugh.
"You're so silly, unnie."
"Heh, I did make you laugh though."
"Mhmm, you did."
"So..."
"Hm?"
"You said you'd give me cuddles..." Jimin says coyly, once again hiding her face and averting eye contact with Minjeong, because she's sure she'd combust if she looked her in the eye right now.
"Oh. I did. Come here, unnie." Minjeong says so as a matter of factly, and opens her arms widespread for Jimin.
Jimin doesn't waste a minute and throws herself into Minjeong's arms, her body melting away at how soft Minjeong is.
They embrace for a while, Minjeong tightening her arms around Jimin's neck while Jimin's hands find Minjeong's waist again. It's like they're magnetized or something. Then, Minjeong presses her lips to Jimin's ear ever so softly, and Jimin swears she gave her a kiss. "You're so cuddly, Jimin unnie." Minjeong whispers, her breath fanning hot against her ear as Jimin feels her face visibly heat up. Her hands on Minjeong's waist freeze up, and she hovers slightly as if she doesn't know where to place them.
Feeling Jimin all tensed up, Minjeong pulls back from the hug, her own face slightly flushed from the prolonged close contact and brushes stray strands of hair behind her ear.
"U-Unnie, let's finish the rest of the questions?"
Too stunned to speak, Jimin can only nod, immediately turning back to the table. The air between them seems to shift a little, hovering between friendly and something Jimin can't name. She tries to take her mind off things by attempting the last few questions, but now all she can think about is the sensation of Minjeong's lips against her ear. Thankfully, Jimin is someone with strong resolve, and she manages to push through this little distraction.
"That's all for today, unnie. You did great." Minjeong praises her as she keeps Jimin's worksheet into a blue file decorated with fat orange cats, her favorite color and animal. Minjeong had specifically picked it out and gifted it to her, saying it was to commemorate their first tutoring session, which was so cute Jimin almost melted on the spot.
This time, Jimin takes the initiative in spreading her arms out wide, waiting for Minjeong to wrap herself around her. When she does, she lays her chin on the top of Minjeong's head, since they're currently both standing and Jimin is almost a head taller than Minjeong. It makes it so easy to engulf Minjeong and Jimin's heart secretly jumps at their size difference, but she would die before admitting that out loud.
They continue cuddling for a few more minutes before Minjeong's mum yells at them to come down for dinner, and they jump apart, like they were caught doing something they weren't supposed to. They're still holding hands on the way downstairs though, so Jimin sees it as a win anyway. Minjeong's mum insists that Jimin stay over since it's so late already, and she can't refuse when the mother of the love of her life is telling her what to do, so she stays the night.
Back in bed, Jimin spoons Minjeong as they watch a show on her phone, both of them giggling whenever something humorous happened - like when a girl started howling at the moon because she heard the song 'Animals' by Maroon 5. It's like their little thing, cuddling together in Minjeong's bed watching funny shows that they both love, until one of them falls asleep. As usual, Minjeong's the one who falls asleep first, cause she's a tiny baby who needs her precious beauty sleep, and Jimin croons as the smaller girl tucks her hand against her waist like she's her personal seatbelt. Jimin is. She could be. She wants to be. If Minjeong allows it, of course. Anyway, Jimin's so happy she could combust, but luckily she doesn't, and she finds it in herself to fall asleep to the sound of Minjeong's little breaths.
28th June 2026: Jiminjeong's 3rd tutoring session
Jimin's in pain today. Like physically, cause she's still a girl and unfortunately for her, her period cramps are acting up especially bad today. They're so bad she doesn't think she can make it all the way to Minjeong's house without having to sit down every 10 steps. Lucky for her, Minjeong has super sweet parents who offered to pick her up from her house. She politely refused, worried that it would be too much trouble for them, but when she heard Minjeong in the background begging her to just accept it, she couldn't bring herself to say no.
She's now waiting at the doorstep of her house, clutching a warm water bottle and pressing it against her tummy as she feels her uterine muscles contracting, almost knocking the wind out of her.
"Jimin-ah, get in!" She hears the familiar voice of (her future mother-in-law) Minjeong's mum and lifts her head weakly, trodding slowly as she struggles to pull the door open and hops in.
From the rear-view mirror, she can see Mrs. Kim's face etched with concern. She's probably never seen her this lifeless and unenergetic before. It's a first for her too. "Jimin-ah, are you sure you want to come over today? You don't have to push yourself, we can always postpone your tutoring sessions with Minjeong."
"I-I'm fine Mrs. Kim! I was really looking forward to today, and I'm sure I'll get better later, I promise!-" Jimin croaked, trying her best to seem as cheerful as she normally was.
"Alright, you silly girl, you'd better rest if you don't feel well, understood?"
Jimin could only bring herself to nod, another wave of cramps tearing the color from her face as she lay against the door, trying to rest her ailing body.
"Jimin-unnie! Are you okay? Do you need to lie down?", was the first thing Jimin heard when she got off the car. Before her was a worried looking Minjeong, clutching her arm as she attempted to stabilize the swaying girl. She couldn't help but notice that Minjeong was wearing a cute yellow dress, decorated with smiley-faced sunflowers, and the sight before her brought some color back to her face.
"Mhm, I'm fineee. Come on, we have a lesson to learn today." Jimin pressed, wobbling towards the house with Minjeong joined to her hip, supporting her weight like she was a fragile old lady. The only thing fragile about her was her heart!
When they reached Minjeong's bedroom, the shorter girl scrambled to open the door for her, and pulled her chair out for her, gesturing for her to sit. Jimin's heart warmed. Minjeong looked like a cute flustered puppy when she was worried about her, but the worry on her face was evident by the creases on her forehead. Jimin felt of pang of guilt for worrying her precious babygirl like that, but it made her just so happy with how much Minjeong cared about her.
"I want you to sit on my lap, Jeongie."
"W-What?!"
"Come'ere. Sit on my lap?"
"U-Unnie, I c-can't! You're already in pain-"
"Please Jeongie? Pleaseeeee?" Jimin whips out her secret weapon, something she only saves for when she really wants Minjeong to give in to her - puppy eyes and a sweet whiny voice she knows Minjeong can't resist. Today, all she wants is to feel Minjeong's warmth in her lap while she explains math to her. Is that too much to ask for? Jimin's just a girl after all.
"Mmfh, f-fine. Only cause you're so weak today." Minjeong huffs. Jimin knows she acts like a brat when she's really embarrassed, but at least she got her to give in, so a win is a win in her books.
Minjeong lowers herself slowly onto Jimin's lap, and she squeals in surprise when strong hands pull her waist down. Clearly she wasn't moving fast enough for Jimin's satisfaction, but she'll let it go for now. Minjeong feels her heart beating wildly against her ribcage, and she can't help but steal glances at Jimin's hands on her waist, anchoring her down. The sight only seems to embarrass her even further, and she blushes aggressively at the suggestiveness of their position. Meanwhile, Jimin looks totally fine, only on the surface, because her heart is beating just as fast. It seems her cramps are masking her emotions, but deep down she knows she wouldn't be able to hold it in otherwise. Thank God for her cramps.
"Jeongie, let's start the lesson?"
"O-oh. R-Right." Minjeong's a stuttering mess on her lap. It's obvious she's flustered by how red her neck and ears are, but she composes herself and begins with the material she prepared for today's lesson.
Minjeong's been shifting around on her lap since the past 15 minutes, and Jimin sure can guess why. They've never really found themselves in such a bold and suggestive position before, so it's no surprise when Minjeong's as flustered as she is right now. Jimin chuckles to herself, a twinge of pride swelling in her chest for making Minjeong feel what she's feeling right now. Drunk in the tension, Jimin tugs Minjeong towards herself and presses her light kisses to her nape, eliciting a weak moan from the trembling girl on her lap.
Minjeong freezes. She's so embarrassed right now she could run a full marathon without stopping, if it means Jimin's gonna keep doing all these sensual things to her. She didn't mean to let out that moan, but Jimin's lips on her nape just felt so, so good. Jimin doesn't stop there, she continues peppering soft kisses along her nape and near the underside of her ear, which almost makes Minjeong moan out again at just how good it feels to be worshipped like that. Somehow, Jimin's much bolder and courageous to do things she usually wouldn't even think of doing to her darling Minjeong. It's probably her cramps, like they've given her some kind of newfound confidence despite her physical condition.
Getting lost in the moment, Jimin gently pulls Minjeong even closer, their bodies flush against each other's, their hearts almost beating in sync. For a moment, Jimin thinks she can get away with snaking her hand higher and higher up Minjeong's tummy, but Minjeong points it out shakily before she can go any further.
"U-Unnie, mmhhmm, stop kissing my neck. I-I'm sensitive..." Minjeong whines, her hands on her own, and Jimin swears this alone could do it for her.
She pulls back slightly, releasing her grip on Minjeong's waist, and silently cheers when she realizes that she has left marks on Minejong's pale, white skin. Her waist is now adorned with red outlines of her fingerprints, and her neck has gentle kiss marks from her lip gloss. Too bad she can't take a picture of this, otherwise it'd definitely be going into her collection of Minjeong photos. They end up like that for a while, Minjeong still on Jimin's lap, quietly playing with her fingers and recovering from what just happened, while Jimin reels in the pleasure of making Minjeong so cute, so shy, so sensitive. Jimin would say it was a successful tutoring session, but Minjeong's as red as a tomato and so overwhelmed that she can only squeak out responses when Jimin asks her something, barely meeting her eyes afterwards. 1-0 to Jimin.
3rd July 2026: Jiminjeong's 4th tutoring session
"Unnie. You're staring again." Minjeong announces as she taps her pen on the table, lightly squinting her eyes at the girl before her.
"Huh."
"Yah, Jimin-unnie, focus! Do you really not like my haircut that much?"
"No! O-Obviously I love it, i-it's just..." Jimin immediately gets up to defend the sulking girl seated in front of her, rubbing her hands timidly as she sways her body left to right and left again.
You probably guessed it, Minjeong recently just got a haircut, and guess what, she got a freaking bob-cut that frames her cute little face so perfectly. If you didn't know before, Jimin absolutely loves seeing bob-cuts on Minjeong, it just makes her seem so loveable, so pocketable.
This unfortunately meant that Jimin's attention and self-control which was normally already dwindling, due to being in the same room as Minjeong, has now plummeted to rock-bottom. Now, she's stealing glances at the younger girl whenever she thinks she's not looking, openly gawks at her when she's teaching Jimin a new topic and longingly gazes at the little stray strands of hair that peek out from her bangs. She's whipped, and she's absolutely going to fail her upcoming math exams, all thanks to Minjeong.
It was the same back then in elementary school, when Minjeong appeared at lunch one day with a bob-cut that made her look even more like a baby then, and Jimin almost exploded in the canteen that day. Minjeong had to personally hand feed her her lunch because she couldn't close her mouth from the rush of emotions going through her mind. Shock, amazement, worship, delight, impressed, endearment, and the list goes on. You name it, she was feeling it. Safe to say, Jimin realized that she liked girls with bob-cuts, or rather, she liked Minjeong specifically with a bob-cut. It's not that she doesn't like Minjeong with longer hair, it's just that the bob-cut had that effect on her. Minjeong could tell her to steal all the churros in the world, rob a bank, steal from the homeless or whatever and she would do it. Not that she supports stealing from the homeless, or any of those things, really, but you get what she means.
"Hmfph, you're not even listening anymore, unnie. I'm not gonna teach you anymore..." Minjeong's whines brought Jimin back from her reminiscing, prompting her to sit up straight immediately. Because if Kim Minjeong told her to listen to her, she would listen to her.
"Sorry, I'm listening now, go ahead please?" Cautiously, she places a hand on the small of Minjeong's back, rubbing small, soothing circles to calm the smaller girl down.
"Mfhm, fineee." Thankfully, Minjeong obliges and the two continue with their tutoring session. Everything seems to be going smoothly.
"Hmm, so in order to get the final result all you have to do is key in the formula to the calculator-"
"Yeah."
"Huh, wait it's showing an error message, ugh-" Minjeong's moment of brilliance was temporarily halted by the 'error' screen currently displayed on the calculator. Confused, she stared at the screen while fiercely punching buttons, her fingers a blur as she tried to correct the error message. Her once calm demeanor had shifted to something like that of an angry maltese puppy, her eyebrows furrowing so harshly that it created a crease in her forehead. She was pouting extra hard, her bottom lip protruding so much that Jimin was worried she might start crying. The sight before Jimin made her heart clench, and she cooed at the smaller girl, her protective and maternal instincts kicking in. Jimin loves when Minjeong gets extra focused and competitive, it's like a little fire in her tiny body is ignited as her tiny body tries to keep up with her competitive spirit.
Jimin finds Minjeong's pouty face too cute, and her eyes light up with enlightenment. She reaches down to grab her phone from her bag and begins pointing the camera at Minjeong, trying to capture the moment from various different angles. For a moment, Minjeong doesn't notice Jimin taking pictures of her. She only does notice, when Jimin points her camera at the top of her head, trying to take a 0.5 shot.
"Hey! Stop it, unnie-" Minjeong wails out, feeling vulnerable in the moment. She knows Jimin loves taking pictures of her when she's always flustered and making a face.
"Whyyy, you're too cute, Jeongieeee-" Jimin cooes again, continuing to take pictures and hovering her phone out of Minjeong's reach, while Minjeong tries to wrestle her way towards her phone. It's just her luck that she has octopus arms long enough to dodge Minjeong's oncoming attempts to swipe her phone out of her hands.
"Yah!" Minjeong shrieks, giving herself one final push as she leaps out of her chair and towards Jimin, hands outstretched as she tries to grab the phone.
Thud.
They land on the floor, Minjeong lying on Jimin's chest, the older girl cushioning her fall and her free hand on her waist again, just like always.
The two of them lie there in silence for a moment, Jimin's hand squeezing her waist in slow, protective circles. The air between them grows soft and for a second, Jimin can feel and hear Minjeong's heartbeat. It's fast, just like hers, and she prays that Minjeong likes her just as much as she likes her. Minjeong's still lying on her chest, her eyes closed so beautifully as she plays with some of Jimin's longer strands of hair. It feels way too domestic and natural, like they're already girlfriends and not like Jimin has been crushing on her for most of her lifetime.
Jimin gulps. She wants to be Minjeong's girlfriend. She wants Minjeong.
So, she does she only thing that makes sense to her at that moment, she caresses Minjeong's cheek with her hand and presses her own lips down to Minjeong's, ever so softly, her heart on her tongue and her emotions on her lips as they make contact, praying that Minjeong feels everything she does.
She feels Minjeong stiffen above her, but then she tightens her grip on Jimin's collar and kisses back ever so gently, like she's afraid to. Jimin breaks apart from the kiss first, her lips still hovering gently over Minjeong's as she pulls her into her arms, hands shaking ever so lightly. Their breaths are uneven and ragged, both visibly recovering from the emotional intensity of the kiss. Their hearts hammering against their chests, threatening to burst out with how fast they're beating.
Jimin is the first to speak, "Jeongie, are you okay? W-Was that okay?" Her voice comes out softer than usual, as if testing the waters between their now ambiguous relationship.
Finding it too difficult to put her thoughts into words, Minjeong can only help but nod at the question, pushing her head back down onto Jimin's chest as if trying to escape from the world. Even when she's shy, she's still so cute, Jimin thinks. The adrenaline continues coursing through Jimin's veins after, and the rest of their lesson is forgotten as they lie tangled in each other's arms.
'I really do love Minjeong, huh.' Jimin thinks as she smiles to herself, content with the flow of events of today's math session. She's now one step closer to becoming Minjeong's girlfriend, and she can't wait for their next lesson. Seriously, she should really be focusing on math, but why should she when Minjeong's just barely out of her reach? Math can wait, Jimin decides.
7th July 2026: Jiminjeong's 5th and final tutoring session
In hindsight, Jimin really should have updated their friends on her progress with Minjeong, specifically their kiss. So, when she let it slip one fine day at lunch, it was no surprise that the 3 of them would corner her into tell them all the details, which only made her turn into this sappy, love-sick loser that could only seem to remember the feeling of Minjeong's lips on hers. They were so soft, so flush against her own, and it was so cute how Minjeong grabbed her to stabilize herself. She yearns for another kiss with Kim Minjeong.
"Oh yeah, we kissed a little and-"
"You what?! Stop right there. When did this happen?!" Ryujin, Aeri and Ningning, who were mid bite, took no haste in abandoning their food, talk about obsessed.
"Uhh, last Friday? During my previous lesson with Minjeong, duh."
"Bro- What?! You can't just not tell us this for, what-," Aeri glances at her phone calandar, "4 days, then drop the bomb on us! What the hell!"
"Oh my God, they're growing up so fast, *sniff*-" Ningning, ever the drama queen, dabbed at her eyes with a tissue, wiping her fake tears.
"Wait, aren't you having another tutoring session with her again today?" Ryujin enquired, with a suspicious look on her face.
"Yeah..."
"Dude, this is finally your chance! You'd better fucking confess or I'll-"
"Alright Uchina Ga-aeri! I got it, stop nagging me..." Jimin groaned as she pulled her hoodie down, covering her face and muffling her groans.
"Mommy's just worried dear-" Ningning piped in, earning herself a glare before she resumed the demolition of her sandwich.
So, that was how lunch went. And now, Jimin's standing at Minjeong's front door again, heart beating wildly at the thought of seeing Minjeong again, her mind unconsciously replaying the memories of last Friday.
"Get a grip, Jimin. Math first, then confess." She gulped, mentally preparing herself with a pep-talk ever since she began her commute to Minjeong's house.
"H-Hi unnie. Come in." Minjeong's voice suddenly came from behind her, causing her to jump, disrupting her train of thoughts.
Ever since their... kiss, Minjeong's been avoiding eye contact with her. She still lets her hold her hand when they're going home after school, but somehow she can't bring herself to look Jimin in the eye. Maybe she's bothered by their kiss too, Jimin wonders.
Anyway, back to the present. Today, it's Jimin's last math session with Minjeong before their final examination, that Jimin's been dreading so much, on Wednesday. Which is tomorrow. Jimin's nervous, like really nervous. She's been working so hard these couple weeks, with Minjeong's help of course, that Minjeong assures her she'll do well. Today, Minjeong has prepared a full length practice exam for Jimin, with hand-picked questions she personally thinks will come out for the real exam. Jimin's grateful, but she can't help but feel the gnawing fear that she might not pass.
They begin the paper, Minjeong once again doing the same paper by her side to show her support and improve her own test-taking skills. Determined, Jimin picks up her pen when the timer starts, and begins scribbling away with what she's learnt from Minjeong until now. Before she knows it, and hour and a half has passed, and the timer rings.
"Phew... finally." Heaving a sigh of relief, Jimin places her pen down next to her paper. Minjeong takes their papers and begins marking hers first, Jimin watching nervously at the side.
"Unnie... you scored 73 marks out of a hundred! Good job! I'm so proud of you!" Minjeong suddenly exclaims, scaring Jimin out of her skin as she jumps up and pulls Jimin into a hug.
"W-Wha- I did it! Yay!"
"See, unnie, I knew you could do it! You just needed a little push-" Minjeong beams at her, smiling at her with that gummy smile she loves so much.
"Thanks, Minjeongie, I couldn't have done it without you..." Jimin sobs, overwhelmed by her own improvement.
Jimin lifts Minjeong off the ground, spinning slightly like a merry-go round. Minjeong squeals in her arms before poking her in the sides, trying to get Jimin to put her down. She slows down her spinning but keeps Minjeong in her arms, preventing her feet from touching the ground, holding her like a stranded puppy in the air.
"Jimin-unnieeee, put me downnn..." Minjeong whines, thumping her fist against Jimin's chest, but it only does more emotional damage than it does physical damage.
"Don't wannaaaa-" Jimin pouts back cutely, swinging Minjeong around just because she can.
"Mmpfh... hate you..."
"You hate me?" Jimin feigns a hurt tone, clutching her chest with one hand, while her other remains its grip on Minjeong's waist.
"Mmphhmm..." By now, Minjeong's a whining mess and all she can make out are muffled baby sounds that go right to Jimin's head.
"But I love you-" Jimin whispers.
Minjeong pauses, and stares up at her with those big, brown doe-eyes that never fail to make her heart flutter.
"Mhmm, I love you too, Jiminie..." Minjeong whispers back, before shifting her eyes back down.
"You love me too?!" Jimin gasped, as if it was so truly unbelievable that Minjeong liked, no, loved!, her back. Has she seen the way Minjeong looks at her, like she's hung the stars for her? Obviously she hasn't, which is why it's come as a rude but welcome shock to Jimin. Minjeong actually loves her back! All Jimin wants to do is howl at the moon and show off to the entire world that she's loved by Minjeong.
Jimin puts Minjeong on the ground gently, like shes something fragile to be protected, and finds it in herself to ask the question she's been aching to ask, "I-I like you. I've always liked you, no, I think I'm seriously in love with you. D-Do you wanna be my girlfriend, Minjeong?" She trembles, her heart banging against her chest, aching to be set free from the confines of her chest.
Suddenly, Jimin feels gentle hands on either side of her cheeks, and soft lips are meeting hers. Minjeong is kissing her!
She kisses back with fervor, melting into her mouth as she meets Minjeong's lips with an urgency she's never felt before. Her right hand comes up to tilt the back of Minjeong's head for better access, her left moving to pull the younger girl closer towards her. She nips at Minjeong bottom lip a little, urging her to open her mouth a little so she can slip her tongue in. She feels the way Minjeong shivers slightly under her touch, a moan slipping out when she finally slides her tongue in, tasting the sweetness on Minjeong's tongue that she's been craving for years. Finally, their breaths hitch as they break away from the kiss, both breathing heavily as they press their foreheads together.
"Of course I wanna be your girlfriend, Jiminie." Minjeong manages between shaky breaths, her eyes glossy with tears. Jimin's heart pangs and soars at the same time. Minjeong's just agreed to be her girlfriend, but she's crying, which are the 2 things Jimin wants and hates the most at the same time.
"Oh, baby, why're you crying?" She peppers kisses on her girlfriend's face, wiping away her tears with her thumb. That's right, Minjeong's her girlfriend now!
"*sniff*, I-I didn't think you'd ever ask me, *sniff*" She continues, tears streaming down her face while Jimin desperately tries to speed up her rate of pressing kisses to her cheeks.
"I-I thought I was obvious enough-" Jimin reasons, rubbing her girlfriend's back soothingly, as she tries to calm her down.
"Mmhm..."
"Hehe-" Jimin suddenly broke out in giggles, gaining a puzzled look from Minjeong.
"What-"
"I'm so happy! You kissed me first!" Jimin cried out, squishing her face against Minjeong's.
"Ughh, don't remind meee, I'm still embarrassed about it-" Minjeong hid her face in Jimin's chest, refusing to come out despite how she tried to coax her.
"It's fine, I'll give you all the kisses you want! We're dating now, so prepare yourself, hehe!" Jimin squealed as she carried them to the bed, ready for a full night of cuddles and kisses she had been missing out on. Minjeong could only scream in mock displease, secretly enjoying the attention and love her girlfriend was showering her in. That night, Jimin could only thank the heavens for granting her wish to finally become Kim Minjeong's as they cuddled each other to sleep, Jimin constantly whispering sweet nothings into Minjeong's ear until she finally nudged her and told her to go to sleep.
One week later
"Yu Jimin, well done, you passed your math exam with flying colors." Professor Lee announced monotonously, holding her test paper out while he continued announcing names of students to collect their papers. Talk about encouraging.
"Well done, Yuji, I told you Minjeong was a great tutor!" Ryujin exclaimed, patting herself on the back.
"Yah, I worked really hard too, right Minjeongie?" Jimin slapped her best friend with her test paper, before turning to Minjeong with sparkly eyes, waiting for her girlfriend to praise her.
"Mhm, you did great Jiminie!" Minjeong nodded as she patted her on the head, cooing praises at her for doing so well in such a short period of time.
"Mmm, I want kisses and cuddles!"
"Ew, please control yourself. We're still in school." Aeri groaned as she pretended to fake puke, gesturing herself throwing up from the PDA.
Meanwhile, Ningning was wiping her tears again at the side, being the drama queen she was, "Oh my my, I can't believe they're finally together, mommy's so proud-"
"You're no one's mommy!" Jimin and Aeri yelled out in harmony, both whipping their heads around to shoot her a look of disgust.
It wasn't a secret that Jimin and Minjeong were dating. In fact, everyone basically cheered when Jimin announced it on their group chat the night they got together, all deciding that it should have happened much faster, to which Jimin quickly turned off her and Minjeong's phone to spare themselves from all the celebration turned nagging. Anyway, was Jimin a genius or what? Their friends were all shocked that she had somehow managed to improve so quickly, in the span of just a few weeks, to which Jimin happily replied, Minjeong's hand still on her head, "It's cause Minjeongie was the best tutor ever!" And everyone proceeded to gag, while Minjeong blushed bright red from the sudden praise. A win was a win, she passed her math test, she would be free for summer break AND, best of all, she had the best girlfriend ever.
Jimin-life 1:0
