Work Text:
Jeno comes down to sit next to Jaemin. He's a bit quieter than he was when the evening started and Jaemin can tell the socializing is getting to him. Despite it being a weekend, Jeno had a shift at the restaurant today because he was covering for a coworker. Weekends are important for Jeno to recuperate, to recover from the busy week, and yet, it was cut down because Jeno is too nice to say no to a request.
It wouldn't have been too much of a problem if Jeno had been able to come back home and not have to lift a finger. Jaemin would have been understanding, he would have provided a quiet company with a well needed heart full dinner, with lots of cuddles and kisses. Instead, he had to come back home to a house full of his energetic best friends.
Today was the long-awaited game and movie night. Jeno himself was excited for it, but the exhaustion of a week long of shifts and classes without a break caught up to him, and even if he wants to join the chaos, his body simply doen't have the energy to.
He closes his eyes and leans his head on Jaemin’s shoulder, who welcomes the weight and leans in for a soft kiss on Jeno’s forehead. “Tired?"
Jeno only whines in response, a sound stuck in his throat, an answer enough to tell how exhausted he is, that Jaemin immediately knows he has to act. "Oh, baby,” He coos. "It's too much for our puppy now.”
Jaemin brings an arm around Jeno to pull him into his lap, and the tired boy goes over easily. Jeno's legs wrap around Jaemin's waist, and he settles his head in the crook of Jaemin's neck, his warm breath hitting Jaemin's skin with the relieved sigh he lets out. Jaemin begins to rub his back softly, one hand in Jeno's hair to scratch his scalp just the way he likes.
Donghyeok takes notice of the events and his eyes soften. “Is puppy tired?" he coos, both teasingly and fondly. His comment brings everyone's attention to the pair of boys tangled together.
Mark squeals in delight and walks over from his place on the beanbag, leaning over Jeno’s back to kiss the crown of his head. “Cutie. It's not often he gets clingy like this.”
Jaemin scoffs. "Speak for yourself. He gets plenty clingy with me. Don't you, baby?” He finishes by looking down at Jeno, who has his eyes closed and brows crunched in what could only be embarrassment at the attention.
Jeno just whines in his throat and buries his face closer in the crook of Jaemin’s neck, which causes Jaemin to laugh fondly. He pulls Jeno’s hips up higher on his lap, and leans back down a little more on the couch. The position becomes much more comfortable, and Jeno sighs in relief, the frown on his face going away. The relief softens his face and Jaemin smiles, his heart squeezing in his chest with adoration.
The moment is broken, though, by Chenle suddenly sitting up with a protest. “Oppa, that's not fair! I want to sit in your lap too."
"Here we go again.” Renjun rolls his eyes before he gets up and starts gathering his things to put them away in his bag. “I’m gonna leave before you guys start doing something stupid."
Donghyeok gets up from the beanbag that was swallowing his figure too. “Take me with you."
Jaemin laughs, and the movement in his chest feels nice pressed up against Jeno’s, then he shakes his head, his hair ruffling against Jeno’s.
"Sorry, Chenle. Oppa’s lap is just for his girlfriend now.” He squeezes Jeno when he says ‘girlfriend’, and Jeno freezes.
Huh.
Girlfriend. Jaemin said ‘his girlfriend’. Not boyfriend. He called Jeno his girlfriend.
Jeno is used to cute nicknames being used to refer to him. Puppy and Samoyed are a classic. Baby is another. Baby boy is a particular one that only Jaemin uses, and not too often. This is a first. Girlfriend.
The world girlfriend keeps spinning around in his mind, and his heart stutters against his ribs. He doesn't know why the word is affecting him this much, doesn't understand why it fills him with warmth and shame and longing all at the same time. It was clearly meant as a joke, but a part of Jeno wishes it wasn't. He wants Jaemin to call him that again. The thought makes his stomach roll, and he squeezes his eyes to will the thought away.
Everyone laughs, Mark even lets out a screech. Jisung is gaping from where he's seated on the floor, against the very couch Jaemin and Jeno are seated on. He braves a look behind him, ears burning in embarrassment, and he can only imagine how red Jeno must be.
Chenle’s eyes widen at the response, his jaw hanging, before a glint of mischief takes over his eyes.
“You've changed, oppa. I wasn't expecting this. You get a girlfriend and suddenly we don't even matter." Chenle huffs, clearly in character. Mark rolls over to Chenle in laughter, his hand snacking against Chenle’s thigh from his seat next to the boy. Chenle winces at one particularly hard smack before pushing Mark away.
There's that word again. Jeno’s stomach flutters, and it feels like the ground was stripped away from underneath him. He can't explain why he likes it so much, why he wants them to continue using it to talk about him. Why he wants to be Jaemin’s girlfriend. He can't wrap his head around any of it.
Renjun is shaking his head, a smile present on his face, when he stands up straight, his bag ready in his hand. “Thanks for cooking, Jaemin. It was really good."
He walks closer to softly rub Jeno’s back, “Rest well, Jeno. Today must have been hell for you." Jeno feels warmth at the care in Renjun’s voice, at how he remembers the long day Jeno’s had, mornings full of dealing with customers and an evening loaded with loud, rumbustious best friends who have no concept of inside volume.
Jaemin starts rubbing his back again, and he pulls his face out from his hiding place and beams up at Renjun, his eyes disappearing in crescents everyone loves and adores. “Thanks, Renjun. You get home safe.”
Donghyeok salutes from where he's standing, “I'll make sure he gets home safe."
“I'm never safe with you." Renjun mumbles before he starts walking towards the door with a last smile directed at the hosts. Donghyeok is right behind him, and he leaves with a flying kiss towards Jaemin. “That wasn't for you! Give it to our puppy!”
Jaemin nods dutifully, and kisses Jeno’s forehead twice. One from Donghyeok, and one from himself just because he can.
Mark gets up, and pulls Chenle up along with him. “Come on, drama queen. We'll get going too, Jaemin. Samoyed clearly needs to rest." He looks at Jeno with understanding.
Chenle’s look of mischief changes into a look of concern, and he comes close to the pair on the couch. “Aww.” he coos to Jeno, rubbing the back of his neck. “Yeah, we'll leave. Come on, Park Jisung."
Jisung gets up, and the three of them start walking towards the door. “Get some rest, Jeno hyung!"
Chenle looks back with a grin. “Take care of your girlfriend, Jaemin!"
Jaemin scowls playfully. "I always take care of my girlfriend. Now get lost."
The room feels a lot hotter than it did a few minutes ago, and Jeno is almost tempted to get up from Jaemin’s lap to get air. He can feel beads of sweat forming on his nape, and his mouth feels dry. He swallows and takes a couple deep breaths, trying to get his body to calm down before Jaemin starts noticing his predicament. He squirms unconsciously, and to his dismay, it brings Jaemin's attention back to him. He brings his hand to brush the hair back from Jeno’s face, and cups his cheek. Jeno instinctively leans his face in the palm, the coldness of Jaemin's hand soothing his burning skin.
“Should we get you to bed, baby? I bet you're just ready to pass out, huh?"
Baby. No longer Girlfriend.
His boyfriend coos before helping Jeno get up so they can go to the bathroom and wash up before bed. Jaemin helps Jeno through every step, his limbs too heavy and sluggish to do anything properly. But Jaemin takes care of him like he was born for this purpose, with a never-ending stream of soft praises like you're doing so well, just a little more and then we can sleep, my baby worked so hard today falling from his lips. Jeno gets sent into this soft, fuzzy space, all the exhaustion finally making his body give in, and he almost forgets about the whole ‘girlfriend’ thing that was making his head spin earlier. Almost.
When his head finally hits the pillow, Jaemin’s weight settling in behind him to spoon him, the last thought for the night slips in from haze before his eyes finally shut, darkness taking over.
I hope he calls me girlfriend again.
When morning arrives, Jeno blinks awake with a long stretch tearing through his body. He sighs in relief as the tension leaves his body and lets the mattress pull him back in, not ready to leave the bed. He looks to the side and finds Jaemin’s side of the bed empty, pouting in distaste at waking up alone. Jeno loves having a few minutes to just cuddle Jaemin after he wakes up, letting the warmth of his body and the hand scratching his nape to slowly wake him up. He's not enjoying being deprived of those moments, especially when he really needs them.
He hears rustling coming from outside and guesses Jaemin must be in the kitchen. The screen of his phone shows it's a bit past noon in the day and he bolts up. He must have been very tired to have slept for so long, not even waking up with his alarms. He guesses Jaemin must have turned them off to let Jeno sleep longer. The exhaustion in Jeno from yesterday must still have been lingering on his mind for him to do that. It's a sweet gesture, and while it does send him into panic just a little to sleep through his alarms, he can't really be mad when it's a Sunday and he doesn't have anything to do the whole day.
He grabs a hoodie from his closet before walking out of the room with his phone in his hand, rubbing at the sleep still clinging in his eyes. His guess was right as he sees Jaemin standing in the kitchen, doing something he can't really see with only Jaemin’s back in his view. A very welcoming back, as Jeno doesn't even realize he's walked up to circle his arms around Jaemin's waist, nuzzling into his nape.
Jaemin barely even flinches, used to Jeno cuddling up to him randomly. He glances back at the boy wrapped around him and smiles. “You're up, darling? Did you sleep well?"
Jeno hums in response before he turns his face side so he can speak, cheek still rubbing against Jaemin’s warm skin.
“Hmm. Slept well. Didn't realize I'd sleep for so long.”
His words still slur a little with sleep. Jaemin puts down what he now sees is a knife he was cutting up some vegetables with, and turns around to look at Jeno, who grumbles at being moved from his comfortable position. Not ready to hold all his weight on his own just yet, Jeno immediately dives back in Jaemin’s arms, tightening his own around Jaemin's middle. He gets himself comfortable once again, head in the safe crook of Jaemin's neck and he feels more than hears the chuckles from Jaemin.
“Such a clingy puppy today. You're still tired after sleeping for so long?" His voice is still deep and raspy, not having used it much since he woke up. Jeno likes it a lot.
“I don’t wanna do anything today." Jeno decides. He definitely needs all of this Sunday doing absolutely nothing to recover from the previous week, and also recharge for the coming week. His mood sours a little at the reminder of having to go back to work and classes from tomorrow, and wishes dejectedly either he or Jaemin were born into wealth so he'd never have to leave their house for anything again. But they have an apartment, not a house, because they weren't born into wealth and have to survive on rent. Rent they need to work for.
Life sucks. Sometimes Jeno wishes he really was a dog so he would have nothing to worry about. Just pets and kisses and cuddles and food. That sounds amazing.
“Jeno-yah? Did you fall asleep on me?"
Jeno shakes himself out of the daze and mumbles that he's still awake.
“Okay, baby. We'll just rest today. Breakfast has been ready so how about having it on the couch?” At Jaemin's suggestion Jeno pulls his head up from Jaemin's neck and frowns.
"But you hate eating on the couch.” He pouts. He can't even count the amount of times he had just wanted to snack comfortably while watching a show on the couch only to get scolded by Jaemin.
Jaemin just boops his nose in response. “I'll let today be an exception since you're soooo cute. And I have a feeling you're going to just doze off and fall over and then break something. At least the couch won't break your pretty nose.” He ends with a kiss on Jeno's nose.
Jeno's face scrunches in an attempt at a scowl. "Don't make fun of me. I'm tired.” The sentence ends on a yawn so wide it brings tears to his eyes. So yeah, maybe he might actually doze off while eating on the table and break something
Jaemin just presses a kiss on the scrunch between Jeno’s eyebrows, before wiping away the tear clinging to his eye, finishing it off wth a pat to his ass. “Come on, on the couch you go, puppy."
The elder leaves the kitchen and shuffles to the living room to make himself comfortable on the couch, snug in the corner. He's thinking of grabbing the soft throw blanket off the back of the couch before he pauses.
"Jaemin?”
"Yes, darling?”
Jeno flushes a pretty pink, the corners of his lips pulling up at the endearment before he remembers what he had to say.
“Can you lower the temperature of the living room? I want to sit with the blanket." He pouts for emphasis, blinking his eyes faster to really sell the pleading look he knows Jaemin is weak for.
Jaemin raises a brow. “You're really milking it, huh?"
"I just wanna snuggle with you, but with the current temperature I'll be too hot with the blanket. And I won't want to snuggle with you, and you know I like having the blanket on my legs." He finishes his rant, and realizes his boyfriend is just looking at him with a look of fondness, honey dripping from his gaze.
Jaemin doesn't say anything for a beat. And then, “Forget breakfast, I’m going to eat you.”
Jeno blinks. "What?”
Jaemin makes his way to the couch with their breakfast in his hands. “How can a person be so cute? Jeno, this makes no sense. How are you so cute? I need to eat you up."
“Stop being ridiculous! Just lower the temperature."
“Okay, baby boy. Whatever you say." Jaemin gets back up to grab the remote for the air conditioner to lower the temperature.
The nickname reminds Jeno of his dilemma once again, of wanting to be called girlfriend, or even girl again by Jaemin. Maybe babygirl? Like every single time his mind has entertained the thought, he starts feeling shame and embarrassment again. He does not understand yet how to come to terms with this newly emerging desire within him.

The next time it happens, they're sitting together at the cafeteria of their university and having lunch. While most of Jeno’s classes are scheduled in the morning, Jaemin’s classes are usually during the afternoon, as his morning is busy with his TA duties. Both of them do not have more than a handful of classes throughout the week, so it gives them enough of a loose hand to adjust both work and classes. Jeno finishes his classes by noon, and if Jaemin isn't busy then he joins Jeno in their university’s cafeteria to have lunch together.
After lunch, Jeno goes to the restaurant he works at for a shift until 8 in the evening, while Jaemin goes and attends his classes. He's usually home earlier than Jeno is, and gets a headstart on preparing their dinner. The two really enjoy eating their meals together, with both of their tastes being compatible enough for their decisions to never clash. As most of their days are either spent at work or classes, Jeno really cherishes the days where their schedules allow for them to have lunch together.
They're engrossed in their meal when a girl starts approaching Jaemin. It might be a classmate, with a question regarding their class work, or a student from one of the classes Jaemin assists, needing to seek some guidance about something. But the closer she gets and the more Jeno looks at her; shy, timid, cheeks flushed pink with a hopeful glint in her eyes, he can immediately tell what she could possibly have to say to Jaemin.
He feels the slightest tingle of possessiveness in him, but pays it no mind. He knows Jaemin is attractive, kind, smart, and caring. A walking green flag, really. But he's also Jeno’s. And he's sure Jaemin would let anyone approaching him know that too.
Jeno smiles around the mouthful of rice, fully aware of how much Jaemin loves flaunting their relationship and the fact that Jeno is his to everyone.
“Hey, Jaemin? Can I talk to you real quick?"
The girl’s voice snaps their attention away from the food. Jaemin looks away from his plate to register who spoke to him, and he must recognize the girl.
“Oh? Suhyeon, right? From professor Lim’s class? Do you have any questions regarding the quiz today?” She must be someone from one of the classes Jaemin works as a TA in.
Suhyeon turns more pink than she already was, maybe awed at the fact that Jaemin remembers her name, which is not really a surprise. Jaemin remembers everyone, all his classmates, group mates, seniors and juniors, teachers all the way back to high school.
“Yeah, that’s me. But that's not what I’m here for. I wanted to ask you something else, if you're not too busy right now?” Her voice turns meek at the end of the sentence as she glances at Jeno, aware and slightly feeling bad at the fact that she is, in fact, interrupting his meal time with a company.
Jaemin looks at Jeno with question in his eyes, who only nods and gestures to go ahead, and Jaemin puts his utensils down before looking at Suhyeon.
“Sure, what's up?”Jaemin asks with a smile so wide and blinding that it makes Suhyeon blush, and Jeno can relate to that. He can understand how exactly she could have fallen for Jaemin’s kind gestures and charms.
Suhyeon takes a deep breath before addressing Jaemin again. “You don't have a girlfriend, do you? I'd love to take you out on a date."
Hah. He knew it. Jeno looks downwards to hide his smile. Jaemin must not have expected the course of events, though, because he stills. He probably still was expecting her to ask him something regarding their classes. His eyes move from Suhyeon’s to Jeno’s, who only shrugs back at him with the smile still present on his lips.
Something in his gaze shifts once he realizes Jeno was expecting this, and the look in Jaemin’s eyes turns into one Jeno can't help but be apprehensive of. There's a suspicious shine in his eyes, and Jaemin’s lips start going up into his signature grin. He turns back towards Suhyeon.
“Why, yes, I do, actually. A very, very pretty girlfriend. The most beautiful in the world."
Jaemin says, and he does so while looking pointedly at Jeno, who freezes in his seat, chopsticks raised in the air and halted a couple inches away from his mouth. Jeno can feel the blood rushing all the way up to his head, a hint of panic and satisfaction and arousal and shame rushing through his body. He was trying not to laugh a minute ago, and that joy has turned into embarrassment as he now tries hard not to squirm in his seat.
He can't believe that the next time Jaemin calls him girlfriend, something he very much wanted, it is in public, and in front of a stranger who can hear him. His ears feel warm and he's sure they have turned bright pink. He just hopes Suhyeon doesn't notice him being so visibly flustered.
To his relief, Suhyeon does not look like she understands what exactly Jaemin was trying to say and Jeno sends up a mental prayer to convey his gratitude, but she also looks like she was not expecting that answer. Jeno doesn't understand why though. If he was a stranger trying to ask Jaemin out, he would be more shocked at finding out he wasn't taken. How could people let this man slip away? Jeno is so lucky.
Poor Suhyeon, though. The hope in her turns into panic as she tries to respond to Jaemin’s unexpected answer.
“Oh- Oh, Wow. I've never seen you around with a girl though… So I thought- That's my bad. I'm sorry." Suhyeon bows a little, her smile a smidge dimmer than it was when she first showed up. But she takes the message like a champ, doesn't push it. Jeno both respects it and is grateful for it, because he does not know how he will react if Jaemin starts going into details of who exactly his girlfriend is.
Fuck. He can't believe Jaemin really called him his girlfriend again. In public.
"It's okay. No harm done. You didn't know. Don't tell anyone else, though. I'm gatekeeping her, can't have any more people asking about my girlfriend, realize how pretty she is and then try to steal her from me.”
Jaemin winks at her and she laughs, while he pretends he can't feel the kicks Jeno is giving him under the table.
Suhyeon bows again, “I'm sorry for interrupting your lunch. Please enjoy your meal! I’m sorry again!” She looks at Jeno too as she apologizes and turns away, her steps rushed as she goes back to her group of friends who eagerly look at her, awaiting the details of their conversation.
“How cute.” Jeno turns back to Jaemin and frowns, landing a stronger kick at Jaemin’s shin which he can't ignore even if he wants to.
“Ow! What was that for?!” Jaemin winces and reaches down to rub at his shin.
“You know exactly what that was for! Why would you say that in front of her? Can you not be normal for once?” Jeno scolds before moving to sip down some of his cold coffee in hopes of it cooling his rising body temperature.
“Say what? That you're my girlfriend? You kind of are, though.” Jeno splutters, nearly choking on his coffee. Jaemin dives back into his meal, not noticing or caring about the reaction his words have had on Jeno.
“Well, now you have to live with the fact that everyone will continue to think you're straight.”
Jaemin pauses at that, sitting up and putting his chopsticks down. “Oh, fuck. Should I start showing up with a flag pin on my bag?”
Jeno shakes his head, a smile tugging at his lips again at just how ridiculous Jaemin is.
“Just eat your food. It’s going cold.”

This time, when it happens, they are out on a date. Jeno hums, content and giddy, his hand intertwined with Jaemin's swinging between them. They are out on a date after a very long time, both of them finally having some free time in their schedules that they chose to spend outside the comfort of their homes, Jeno in particular. Trying to finish a degree while working in a restaurant does not leave him with much free time, and being the homebody he is, whatever time he does get, he prefers to spend it in their humble little apartment. Jaemin being both, Jaemin and someone who knows and understands Jeno better than anyone, adjusts to this need of Jeno's without a single complaint.
It makes Jeno feel both grateful and guilty. He knows Jaemin is someone who loves being out and about, knows that Jaemin can't stand to be inside for extended periods of time. Jaemin has said before that it makes him feel suffocated a little, and gives him a headache. It is why he makes sure to go on a run every single morning before work, something about the fresh air helping him function better. The offer to join him has been extended to Jeno multiple times, but Jeno would rather spend that time sleeping in before his shift at the restaurant, or if he's extra unlucky that day, a morning class.
Due to this, most of their recent dates have been stationed at their apartment, usually involving a fancy dinner made by Jaemin, some wine, a movie and sex to end the day. And while Jeno is grateful that Jaemin adjusts to his preferences without a complaint, he also knows Jaemin misses going out with Jeno too.
There are so many markets, restaurants, and cafes saved in Jaemin's saved posts on Instagram, places Jaemin wants to try and explore together, and Jeno wants to do something for Jaemin too, so he ends up proposing the idea for their next date to be outside. Jaemin was pleasantly surprised, a bit confused, but more excited than anything to spend a day outside with Jeno.
And here they are, walking around a new marketplace that Jaemin wanted to look around, maybe buy some more decorative pieces for their place, before they head to a cafe for brunch. Maybe they'll look for some more toys for their lovely triplets, too, though, Jeno doubts the cats care much about the new toys. They're plenty entertained with paper balls and a plastic wrap to care about the expensive, top quality stuff Jaemin keeps buying for them.
“Wow look at these scarves!” Jaemin moves to the stall displaying some crocheted scarves with careful, intricate designs.
Jeno huffs. “You have like ten different scarves, Jaemin.”
“But they aren't this cute, Jeno! Look at the colours! The designs!” Jaemin starts ruffling through the scarves on display with vigour. “Oh my goodness, this is scarf heaven. Do you think Renjun will like this one? I still haven't bought him a birthday gift.”
Renjun’s birthday is coming up in two weeks, and while they no longer have grand birthday celebrations, they still like to have a meal together with all of the friends present. All of this reminds him that he, too, has yet to buy Renjun a birthday gift.
He moves closer to inspect the scarves himself. “Maybe the yellow one?” It's a beautiful scarf, all yellow with daisies crocheted on it with care and intricacy. Jeno loses himself in the patterns, the touch of the thread under his fingertips.
He thinks about crocheting, and is momentarily taken over by the wonder of the hobby. Maybe he will give it a try very soon. It could be a relaxing activity for him, away from screens and vibrant flashes and loud noises.
“I think I’ll get this one for Renjun.” Jaemin picks out the yellow scarf with daisies Jeno had pointed out. It makes Jeno smile at the knowledge that Jaemin liked his suggestion, gave it value and even went ahead with it.
“Stay here, baby. I’m gonna go in and pay for this real quick.” Jaemin smiles at him before walking further in the shop to look for the owner, their chosen scarf in his hand.
He returns a minute later, their scarf in a paper bag dangling from one wrist, his other hand holding out to hold Jeno’s, who gladly accepts it. “Let's go ahead.”
Jeno hums. “I was thinking I could buy him some accessories. Maybe rings? He's been into those lately.”
Renjun has been really into accessories lately. His growing collection of rings and bracelets is very beautiful, diverse, ranging from dainty ones to ones with large gems. He would probably appreciate an addition to the collection.
“That's such a great idea, darling. You're so observant.” Jaemin coos, bringing a hand up to smooth over Jeno’s hair ruffled from the breeze. Jeno ducks his head in embarrassment. Being doted on by Jaemin in private is one thing, in front of their friends is another. In public around strangers? Jeno can never get used to it.
He starts walking, tugging on Jaemin’s hand with their now intertwined fingers to pull him forward. His ears turning pink a clear indicator of him feeling flustered. Jaemin chuckles before following along. They continue walking until an accessory store catches their eye. The jewellery on display is unique, and the board on the front tells them they're all handmade. Jeno excitedly ushers Jaemin towards it. He lets go of their hands to explore the shop, now on a mission to find the perfect gift for Renjun.
The rings display is not too big, only a couple trays set out with a variety of designs. Jeno awes at some rings made of buttons, and looks around to see they have bracelets and necklaces made out of colourful buttons in matching sets as well. The bead rings also catch his eye, but they stop on a set of wire rings, the metal carefully woven around a pretty pink gem in unique patterns. He lifts it up to admire the design, and thinks Renjun would appreciate the details as well. He finds another wire ring, the metal forming the shape of a turtle around a green stone, and Jeno immediately snatches it up, knowing for a fact Renjun would love this piece.
Deciding on those rings, he moves to the bracelets where Jaemin is standing with his arms crossed, eyes flicking over the display with an intense interest.
“Are you getting one for Renjun too?”
Jaemin shakes his head but doesn't offer much of an answer and Jeno shrugs, back on his mission to look for a bracelet. He sees one made up of different colourful trinkets, buttons, ribbons, gemstones, safety pins, different charms, all carefully woven together to make a beautiful bracelet. He picks that one up. After a few minutes of searching, his eyes catch another bracelet, a dainty chain with charms of different flowers hanging from it, and adds it to his collection of gifts to get Renjun. Satisfied with his picks, he goes back inside to pay for it.
When he comes back out, Jaemin is standing exactly where he was when he left him by the bracelets, but this time he has an old lady next to him making conversation with a giddy smile.
“Are you getting one for your girlfriend? She must be so lucky! Look at you! Such a handsome young man!” The lady gushes, patting Jaemin’s arms a couple times.
Jeno laughs, but doesn't do much to join the conversation, content to watch from a distance. It's pretty common for people to stop by and gush over Jaemin, he is a very handsome, very beautiful man after all. It can get a little annoying, when everyone automatically assumes he has a girlfriend. But there's not much he can do about that. And sometimes Jeno doesn't care enough to correct them, it’s not like they're going to see these strangers again. He is also not really in the mood to be surprised when the reactions to their correction aren't positive. So he lets it be now, and tells Jaemin to let it go as well.
“Ah, yes. Something like that.” Jaemin says in response to the lady and laughs in embarrassment, rubbing the back of his nape. “Thank you, but I'm the lucky one, really.”
Jeno smiles as he watches the lady leave and Jaemin walk towards him, a bracelet of his selection in his hand as well. Jeno lets Jaemin pay for it and demands to look at it when Jaemin joins him to leave the store. Jaemin dangles it in front of him, and it's a thin black thread along with a silver chain, with tiny star charms on it.
“It's pretty. Did you get it for yourself?” Jeno brings up a hand to touch the bracelet.
Jaemin shakes his ahead with a smile. He quickly unclasps the bracelet to tie it around the hand Jeno has in the air, the bracelet sitting prettily on his wrist.
“I got it for my girlfriend.” Jaemin winks.
Jeno startles, and then stills in shock. A shiver goes down his spine and he starts turning red, with hot shame and embarrassment but also with want. He liked that, he liked that so much he almost hates how much he liked it.
“You- What?” That's the best response he can come up with.
Jaemin shrugs, amused at Jeno’s reaction, and there's a knowing smile on his lips.
“You know, since the lady thought it was for my girlfriend, but it was for you. So I gusss you’re my girlfriend now.”
“Huh?” Eyes wide, cheeks flushes and ears pink, Jeno sure makes a sight for sore eyes. It's just a joke, sort of. It makes sense why Jaemin would make the joke now, with the lady saying what she did. But Jeno still can’t get over it.
“You look so fucking cute right now.” Jaemin’s voice snaps him out of his shock. He shakes his head and looks back at the bracelet around his wrist, his brain finally catching up to the fact that Jaemin bought this pretty thing for him, and a small smile graces his lips as he takes in the bracelet.
“Do you like it, girlfriend?”
Jeno groans. This is going to be a long date.
×××
The next time it happens, it is in the middle of sex, and kind of both, the worst and best moment in Jeno’s life.
Jaemin pushes into Jeno bit by bit and is blessed with the sight of Jeno’s mouth dropping into a gasp, brows pinching as he takes Jaemin in. This is Jaemin’s favourite position to have sex with for this particular reason, obsessed with seeing all the changes in Jeno’s expressions.
“You feel so good, baby.” If it was possible, Jaemin would spend his entire life here, inside Jeno, Jeno wrapped around him, warm and tight. He sits back on his haunches and lets Jeno adjust to the thickness inside him, but Jeno seems to be impatient today.
“Move, Jaemin. Please, move.” Jeno pleads while pawing at Jaemin’s chest, bringing his legs up to wrap them around Jaemin’s waist so he can pull him in closer. The action moves Jaemin further inside Jeno and he whimpers at the sensation, pulling a groan out of Jaemin too.
Always one to give in to Jeno’s demands, Jaemin starts moving his hips slowly, dragging each thrust. He focuses on hitting it deep instead of fast. It's both agonizing and absolutely everything Jeno could want.
“Jaeminie, I feel so good. Feel so good, Jaemin. You're so big.” Jeno tries to roll his hips to meet Jaemin’s thrusts, but Jaemin holds his hips down with his hands. Big and strong, Jeno hopes they leave marks on his hips, ones he could poke and still feel the remnant heat of Jaemin’s touch.
“Stay still, baby. Let me take care of you. Gonna make my puppy feel so good.”
Jaemin leans back, taking Jeno’s thighs in his hands. To Jaemin, Jeno looks perfect laying there, his skin flushed pink against the sheets. Jaemin feels overwhelmed with the love he has for the other boy, his perfect, sweet angel, who deserves to be loved and worshipped. Taken care of like a royalty, have every whim of his answered so he never has to lift a finger. Jaemin loves him so much, loves every inch of him, is obsessed with everything about him.
With awe and reverence circulating through his veins, Jaemin can't stop running his hands on Jeno’s soft skin. Mapping his thighs, squeezing the flesh until it turns pink under his hand. Jaemin loves it, loves his hands on Jeno, to feel the warmth of his skin on his palms, loves to feel the goosebumps rise when he caresses his body, his boy ever so sensitive.
Jeno loves it too. The roughness of Jaemin’s hands all over his body, loves feeling his hands press on his skin, touching and poking and tracing and grasping. The squeezes on his waist, hips, thighs. The warmth of his breath as Jaemin mouths over his skin, the cold air making him shiver once it collides with the wetness his mouth leaves. The bites, teeth marks, hickeys, reds and purples and sharp dents painting his body like a canvas, by Jaemin, for Jaemin.
"You look so pretty, baby. So soft and pliant for me. All spread out like this. So good for me, aren't you?”
Jeno squirms and nods, his eyes wide and expectant and glossy. A fog washes over his brain at the idea of being good for Jaemin, and nothing else matters to him anymore. It's all he cares about now. Doesn't matter that Jaemin had stopped thrusting into him five minutes ago in favor of running his hands over Jeno’s body, to worship him, Jaemin had said. Jeno’s thighs tremble from holding onto Jaemin’s waist, and he can feel a pinch in his spine. There's sweat dripping down his nape and he wants to cum so badly. But none of that matters anymore, not more than being good for Jaemin.
Jaemin could drink this sight forever. Jeno looks like a fucking dream come true. The way he looks at him, with his big eyes, all wet and hazy, makes it so hard for Jaemin to hold himself back from ruining Jeno. The furrow in his brows, his lips set in a permanent pout, so soft and pink and wet, just begging to be kissed and bitten raw. The trust in his gaze, trust that Jaemin will take care of him, will give him what he wants, what he deserves. Jaemin can't believe he's real. That Jeno is real and his. What nations must we have saved in his past life to be blessed like this, with the sweetest, cutest, prettiest, sexiest boyfriend in the world.
Or, well, Jaemin believes there's another thing Jeno would love to hear more.
Jaemin caresses Jeno’s hipbone with his thumb. “I should get you lingerie. Bet you'd look so fucking pretty for me.” Jeno’s breath hitches, and Jaemin thinks he's on the right path. Just a little more, and Jeno will finally break.
Jaemin eyes his reactions, his thumb continuing its motion, its soothness a drastic contrasts with his provocative words.
"Yeah? Should I get you lingerie? Make you my pretty girl?"
Jeno closes his eyes and moans so loud, and the tears building up in his eyes finally drop down his temples. Jaemin knows he's reached the correct conclusion. Jeno must have thought his reactions weren't noticeable to Jaemin, but this is Jeno they're talking about. If there's anything Jaemin can read with even his eyes closed, it's Jeno. His moods, his reactions, his feelings. How can Jaemin miss it when Jeno is all he looks at, all he focuses on, all he cares about.
It is a little cute, honestly. How Jeno thought he could hide it, that Jaemin wouldn't catch on. It's adorable that he likes being called a girlfriend, and if he thinks about it long enough, it starts making more sense in his head. He can't explain it, but Jeno is just so cute, so lovely, so pretty, being a girlfriend just makes sense to him. He's thought about it so much, about his pretty girlfriend, and maybe even about how prettier he would look in feminine clothing. In a skintight dress, in a silk dress with a slit on its thigh, in a cute frilly skirt. In lingerie that would hug his body so beautifully that it almost made him jealous to think about it.
He can tell the idea excites Jeno just as much, if not more, as his pleas increase in volume. “Jaeminie! Jaemin. Jaemin, please.”
Jaemin can already imagine the soft cotton on his skin, maybe in pink, maybe blue. How pretty it would make Jeno feel, something Jaemin wouldn't be able to stop admiring him in, caressing his body endlessly, his fingertips teasing the hem of the clothe barely covering his body. Or maybe something red, lacy, sexy. Something Jaemin wouldn't help but want to rip off his body. He can't stop thinking about it now. He wants so badly to rip a pair of panties off Jeno's legs with his bare teeth, it ignites a fire within him and he almost ends up finishing on the spot.
He says as much to Jeno, who flushes even more if it was even possible, the idea of Jaemin in between his legs, his face hovering over panties adorning his body has him shivering, writhing. He wants it so bad. Wants his mouth on him, his hands, his teeth. Jeno’s back arches off the sheet as more drops of precum drip down his cock.
“Jaemin!”
He sounds so beautiful, all wrecked and whiny. Jaemin loves Jeno like this. He grins maniacally as he leans over Jeno, his elbows beside the older’s head. From here, he can see the tears lining Jeno’s lashes even more clearly along with the tremble in his lips.
The position gives Jaemin a rush. Jeno looks so small underneath, though he isn't small by any means. Jeno is bigger than most people around him, as he's been told more times than he could ever begin to count. But Jaemin is the only one bigger than him, the only one who makes him look smaller in comparison. Jaemin likes covering him with his body, likes how small it makes Jeno feel underneath him. Likes how his body can hide Jeno underneath his own.
"You liked that, didn't you?” Jaemin turns his head so he can whisper in Jeno’s ears. "Did you like being called my pretty girl?” Jaemin glances down, one hand coming to rest on Jeno’s stomach, right where he knows his cock rests inside him. He presses over the skin.
“Your pussy clenched so tight around me when I said that."
Jeno stops breathing, body stilling momentarily before it writhes, arching up as he comes untouched with a wail, and his vision goes white while the ringing in his ear blacks out Jaemin’s voice. His thighs squeeze Jaemin’s waist, toes curling, and his fingers clutch Jaemin's biceps so tightly Jaemin is sure his dull nails somehow managed to draw blood.
Jaemin groans at the sight and stops every motion to focus on the picture Jeno is painting in front of him. His hand strokes Jeno's cock to help him ride the wave of his orgasm, his pace and grip unforgiving. Jeno's body squirms, torn between pushing his dick into the hand and wanting to pull away from oversensitivity. He clenches around Jaemin and it gets him back to moving, chasing his own climax. It does not take him long before he's hunching over Jeno with a final groan, his hips stuttering until they eventually come to a halt, emptying into the condom snug inside Jeno.
Once the rush of the orgasms washes away, Jeno blinks his eyes open, the tears stuck in his lashes make their way down his glistening skin and Jaemin leans down to kiss them away, mouth sticky and open and wet to the point where it is less of a kiss and more of an attempt to suck them away.
“You were so good for me, darling. The best. So beautiful, angel. I love you so much.”
The words flow out of Jaemin's mouth and cascade down Jeno's body along with his lips, and Jeno shivers before finally relaxing, the strings of his body coming taut and finally breaking.
Jaemin pulls out gently, a hiss escaping Jeno at the feeling. He gets rid of the condom before he picks his spent boyfriend up and makes his way to the bathroom to get them both cleaned up. He's quick with the process, the steps coming to him like second nature.
Jeno complies without giving Jaemin as much of a hard time as he usually likes to, with letting go of his body weight and making Jaemin catch him with a surprised yelp, or flinging soapy water at him while giggling. The nerves don't let him, and worries cloud his mind. Jaemin knows for sure about his little predicament, of course he does. There is nothing Jeno has been able to hide from Jaemin in all the years they have known each other.
“It's a soulmate thing. I know you better than I know myself.” Jaemin had described it as such. It becomes hard to hide from someone whose soul lives in yours, knows you inside and out and better than your own.
The nerves chip away at his brain, and he settles quietly on his side of the bed, now clean thanks to Jaemin changing the sheets while Jeno was dressing himself. And yet, once Jaemin settles in the bed next to him, Jeno moves to snuggle into his side. He can tell this will be a conversation they will have before they get to sleep, and if Jeno is going to bare his vulnerabilities, he at least wants to do it with Jaemin wrapped around him protectively.
Jaemin stretches an arm to snatch the bottle of water sitting at his bedside table, and makes Jeno drink at least half of it before he takes it back, taking a few sips of his own and then capping the bottle to put it away. Jeno is thankful for the water as the nervousness was drying his mouth.
“You back with me, baby?” Jaemin welcomes him easily, situating them so that he's leaning back against the headboard and Jeno is lying on his chest. He caresses Jeno’s face, moving stray strands of hair away from his eyes. Jeno hums as he wraps his arms around Jaemin's waist.
“And do you want to talk about what has finally been eating away at you?” Jaemin teases fondly, knowing that Jeno isn't uncomfortable, just embarrassed.
“I don't, actually. Let's just pretend nothing happened and go to sleep.” Jeno attempts to pull the covers over himself but is stopped by Jaemin who laughs at him.
“Come on. Jeno. It's just me. You know there's literally nothing you need to be embarrassed about in front of me. Me of all people. And this is less about me being your supportive boyfriend and more about the fact that I'm literally Na Jaemin.” And that is true. Very good point. While he knows Jaemin won't mind or make fun of him, that he will just smile at him with all of his teeth and accept whatever it is that Jeno wants to tell him, this is also the same Jaemin who moans in public. So maybe he really shouldn't feel so embarrassed trying to talk to Jaemin.
“I…” Jeno starts and then gulps, the words getting stuck in his throat. Jaemin continues looking at Jeno with gentle eyes, mouth curled in an encouraging smile. His hand rubs Jeno’s waist to calm him down, and it works a little. Jeno knows he has to say it now, he wants to say it now, and there's no backing out. He's agonized over this for days, stayed awake staring at his ceiling with warmth in his cheeks, bit the words back in when they scrambled to leave his mouth countless of times. He can't wait anymore.
He takes a deep breath, before finally saying what he has been gritting in between his teeth for weeks.
“I liked it when you- when you called me your girlfriend.”
Jeno rushes the words out, and then hides his face away immediately. The flush travels across his body and his cheeks turn warm. A wide grin spreads across Jaemin’s face before he laughs.
“Jeno,” Jaemin cups Jeno’s cheeks to pull it back out from its hiding place and press a chaste kiss on his nose. "My baby, my pretty girlfriend, the cutest, loveliest girlfriend in the world." Each word gets said with a kiss on Jeno’s face. The latter burns all over, a whine escaping him. Jeno feels soft and small and right all over, and he loves it. He's so relieved that the words are finally out, no longer clawing at his throat.
Jaemin squeezes him even closer into his chest, and Jeno settles in the space carved out just for him. Jaemin starts running his fingers through Jeno’s hair, and if Jeno was a cat he would be purring right now.
“Talk to me some more, baby. Is it a gender thing? Do you feel more feminine?”
Jeno ponders over the words some more, just like he's done for the past few weeks. He's perfectly comfortable in his gender, and doesn't feel like he identifies more with one or the other, yet also likes the idea of femininity. But he also can't explain why being called a girl, a girlfriend, fills him with so much rush that he melts. Why it almost feels right.
“Dunno, honestly. I don't think so? I just felt really good when you… “ He trails off, turning shy, his fingers writing letters absentmindedly on Jaemin’s collarbones. “When you were calling me your girlfriend, when everyone was here. I liked it a lot. It made me feel soft, and good. Want it more.” By the end of the sentence, his voice has turned into an embarrassed whisper, but he cannot deny the utmost relief he feels at putting everything out on the table in front of Jaemin. It’s hard to hide things from Jaemin.
Jaemin just kisses him on his temple again. “Okay, pretty. One last question for now, and then we can sleep. We'll explore the rest of it together later, okay?” Jeno nods, content at the idea of being able explore all these new feelings together with Jaemin.
“Now, is it a sex thing, or an everyday thing?"
Jeno squirms a little in Jaemin’s arms who just tightens his hold. Jeno knows for a fact it is not just a sex thing for him. The first time Jeno had been called a girlfriend was in a crowd, with an audience present in their living room, and not during sex. Jeno knows he would like to be called girlfriend outside of sex, but he doesn't know if this is something he wants permanently. He thinks it over a bit more before settling with an answer, mumbling it into Jaemin’s skin. His forever shy boy. Puppy. Or girl. Whatever he wants to be.
"Not just sex.”
"Thank you for telling me, darling. I love you so much, and this is all okay with me. Okay? You don't have to worry about anything with me. I just want you to be happy, always. My lovely baby, my Jeno, the cutest angel in the world. My prettiest girlfriend.”
"That's enough now, stop it!” Jeno hits him in the chest softly, embarrassed and shy. But he can't deny that the support from Jaemin makes him feel a hundred times better about everything. He has the bestest friend, soulmate, and boyfriend in the whole world.
They shift so they can lie down on their pillows, and once he's in a position he can peacefully sleep in, Jeno presses a soft kiss to whatever part of Jaemin's skin his mouth reaches. “I love you, too. And thank you. Now let me sleep."
“Aah! You're just so cute! I just want to bite you one million times."
“Go to sleep!"
+1
They're back at Jeno and Jaemin's shared apartment for another game and movie night. Everyone prefers their apartment because of their large and spacious living room that easily fits everyone in without needing to squeeze anywhere, even though some of them still love piling up together to cuddle. Jeno is in high spirits for this one as compared to their last movie night, where he was exhausted after picking up an extra shift that ate up half of his weekend.
He was asked yet again if he could cover another shift of his coworker, but Jaemin's lessons on being more assertive with his boundaries paid off and he was brave enough to decline, despite feeling a tad bit guilty. But he's an overworked and underpaid university student, and deserves a weekend to himself.
The guilt had left as soon as Jaemin had peppered his face with kisses and compliments after the call, and if he had a tail it would have definitely been wagging after Jaemin called him his good girl. His reaction to the words had not been missed by Jaemin, the ever so observant man he is. It is both a blessing and a curse, but Jeno could not find it in himself to complain too much when Jaemin's hands had begun sliding underneath his boxers.
He gets to enjoy his weekend with his boyfriend and best friends, playing games and watching movies instead of going for work, was called a good girl and given a hand job. So he's in a good mood, sue him.
His enthusiasm and joyful mood does not go unnoticed by others, as evident by Chenle calling him a hyper puppy a couple rounds in their card games, Donghyeok encouraging his attempts at cheating, and Jaemin looking at him fondly every time he laughs.
After some more rounds of games, everyone starts settling around for a movie. Jeno is in the kitchen with Renjun, gathering all the snacks to bring them to the living room. When he tries to look for a place to settle, he sees Chenle comfortable in Jaemin’s lap, sitting sideways so his back is to the armrest, legs spread over Jaemin’s thighs, occupying most of the couch with them. Jeno could easily move Chenle’s legs to have a seat next to them and then put Chenle’s legs back up on his lap.
Or he could literally sit anywhere else. There's space next to Donghyeok on the giant beanbag, and it would be nice to cuddle with him. He could settle in between Jisung and Mark who have decided to sit on the floor, blankets surrounding them. He winces thinking about Jaemin’s rage if he finds food stains or crumbs on the blankets.
“If I see any stains on the blanket I’m making you scrub it out yourselves. You hear me?” As if reading his thoughts, Jaemin grumbles the exact complaint while poking Jisung with his foot in the back.
Jisung blinks in mock shock. “Have some trust in us, hyung. We'll be super careful.”
“I think what he means to say is that he and Mark hyung will clean it diligently.” Donghyeok adds from his place on the beanbag, legs stretched comfortably and packet of chips open to snack on. Jeno eyes all his seating options once again, and he really could sit anywhere else, however, sitting in Jaemin's lap sounds amazing, too. And something in him is encouraging him to do something he probably would never do, even with a gun to his head. Fucking with everyone is really taking the priority today. He feels giddy, almost jittery, and just really wants to pull reactions out of everyone.
So he walks up to where Jaemin is sitting on the couch with Chenle on his lap and stops right in front of them. Both of them look up, whatever conversation they were having paused as they stare at Jeno. Jaemin opens his mouth to say something, probably an offer to sit next to him, a smile present on his face, but he's interrupted before he can say a single word.
“Oppa,” Jeno pouts.
All chatter in the room dies down. Chenle's eyes widen in disbelief as he looks up at Jeno with a furrow in his brows. Jaemin freezes, not even blinking. Jeno doesn't remember the last time he saw that expression on Jaemin’s face. He bites his lip to stop a smile from breaking on his face.
“Huh?”
Jeno can't tell if that really was a Huh? or just a noise similar to it. It is rare that he gets to see Jaemin so flustered, the latter being the one who usually pulls these reactions out of Jeno. So it is really fun to see the roles reversed once in a while, with Jeno having the upper hand. He starts making a mental list of things he could do in the future to entice this exact reaction from him. Maybe he really should wear those skirts Jaemin was talking about once. With lingerie underneath.
Before he gets too distracted with his thoughts running, Jeno brings his attention back to the present. Pleased with the reactions, he decides to commit to the bit.
“Jaemin oppa-”
“Oh my fucking God, he actually said oppa.” Jeno ignores Jisung and continues looking directly into Jaemin's eyes.
“Didn't you say your lap is only for your girlfriend? Why is Chenle in your lap then?” Jeno whines, his brows furrowed, really milking the whole bit now. He can hear Mark choking on something in the background while Renjun breaks into the loudest laughter ever.
“Jeno, you have no idea how much I love you for bringing that expression on Jaemin's face.” Donghyeok gets up from his place to hover over Jaemin with his camera app open, getting as many shots as possible of Jaemin's bewildered face. Chenle has long gained his composure and is looking at him with amusement painted all over his face now.
Jaemin blinks out of his stupor. “Wait, wait, wait. Wait. Baby, what? What did you just call me?”
“He called you oppa.”
“Shut the fuck up, Donghyeok.” Jaemin glares at Donghyeok, who only snickers at him because he's having the time of his life, before turning back around to look at Jeno, and his expression changes to one of confusion mixed with joy. “What do you mean, baby?”
“You said your lap is just for your girlfriend.” Jeno repeats firmly. He knows Jaemin has caught on to the glint in his eyes because the confusion from his face vanishes entirely, now replaced with the manic, toothy grin everyone knows to associate with him. It scares him a little bit, just because he doesn't know how exactly Jaemin will go along with this, but it excites him nonetheless.
“Yeah,” Jaemin nods, almost in a trance. He seriously can't look away from Jeno’s eyes. “Yeah, I guess Oppa did say that.” Jaemin's voice slurs a little and Chenle jostles a bit when Jaemin leans forward.
“Then why is Chenle on your lap?”
“Who the fuck is Chenle.” Jaemin pushes Chenle off his lap, ignoring Chenle's yelp in protest as he falls to the ground, and eagerly starts pulling at Jeno to invite him to sit on his lap. “I don't know any Chenle. Come here, pretty girl.”
Jeno pretends to sulk a bit more before giving in and taking his rightful place in Jaemin's lap.
“Oppa, huh?” Jaemin muses, tugging Jeno closer with his waist. Jeno shrugs after making himself comfortable in Jaemin's lap, assuming the same position Chenle had mere minutes ago.
“Just wanted to try it out.” And he's very satisfied by the results. It seems that Jaemin is too, and he's sure he's going to try and make Jeno call him that again in the future. But today's quota ends here.
“You think you're sooooo cheeky, don't you?” Jaemin nuzzles his nose into Jeno’s cheek, delighted by the mischief Jeno has been exuding all day.
Jeno wriggles a little, feeling slightly ticklish but stays where he is, Jaemin’s arms tight and snug around him. There’s a hand sneaking inside his shirt, and he tries not to squeak when it squeezes his waist.
“I'm going to put a baby in you.” Jaemin leans in to whisper that in Jeno's ear, but it's a lot less of a whisper when everyone in the room hears that loud and clear. Jeno turns red and slaps Jaemin's chest.
“Okayyyy, I think we should leave?” Mark chuckles awkwardly from his place on the ground.
“Speak for yourself. I'm going to stay and watch the show.” Donghyeok makes himself comfortable again on the beanbag, body leaning towards Jeno and Jaemin with a lot of interest while he wriggles his eyebrows.
“As entertaining as that was, can we please just watch the movie?” Renjun pipes in, the remote to the smart TV in his hand. He has sneakily pulled up his desired movie while everyone was distracted by the commotion. No one says anything about it, so either they do not notice it or just do not care enough to argue against it. Renjun smiles and presses play.
Everyone turns towards the TV, the chatter stops until the introduction of the movie is the only sound echoing in the room. Jaemin leans back, and grabs the blanket thrown over the back of the couch to spread it over himself and Jeno, who appreciates the gesture with a smile and kiss on Jaemin’s cheek. Jaemin beams and dives in to deliver a kiss of his own, on the lips instead of the cheek. Jeno kisses back, and a peck turns into two, three, four, before Jeno pulls away and taps Jaemin’s chest to calm down and focus on the movie. Jaemin closes his teeth around Jeno’s cheeks in a mock bite before he turns to pay attention to the movie as well.
“Pause, did Jeno just call himself girlfriend?”
