Tengen is with him that first morning; Tanjirou wakes up dizzy, and his alpha immediately takes him to the bathroom so he can throw up. The omega doesn't know what's going on, but he washes his face, hoping he doesn't have to run to the bathroom again.
Then, as one of his alphas looks down at him fondly and with so much joy in his eyes, Tanjirou realizes he might be missing something.
Tengen takes him in his arms again, purring as he nuzzles against the omega's cheek. He looks like he's the happiest man alive at the moment.
"What is it?" Tanjirou tilts his head to the side, confused.
"Let's get Shinobu to take a look at you," Tengen says instead.
When his other alpha tells Tanjirou that he's very much pregnant, the omega starts tearing up. Shinobu hugs him close, very happy because that means she'll get to be a mother soon.
Tanjirou has a lot of alphas. The majority of omegas have one, maybe two, and they always say it's a lot for them. But the redhead has nine; no one is exactly sure how he is capable of making them all happy, but he does.
Besides, even though each one was possessive and jealous at first, they all agreed that they would rather share him that lose him once he chose one of them or maybe none at all because Tanjirou refused to make such a decision.
However, their relationship works quite well.
As the omega's belly grows, Tanjirou experiences very conflicting and sometimes contradicting emotions; he can't even hold them back, and some of his alphas get scolded or even hissed at when they're close enough to the omega when he's overwhelmed by different types of feelings.
Not only do they understand him, but they all seem to like it when he's a bit mean to them. Tanjirou can't believe it; sometimes, he even rolls his eyes when he hears them purr in response to him snapping at them. Sanemi is particularly into that sort of behavior; he gets a bit clingy for a while and follows the omega around until Tanjirou is relaxed enough to let the alpha pull him into his arms.
Another day, Tanjirou ends up frowning at himself in front of a mirror; he loves his baby bump, but he wonders if he's not attractive enough for his alphas anymore.
When he asks Mitsuri about it, the love hashira not only assures him that he looks more beautiful than ever and they will always be hopelessly in love and attracted to him no matter what.
Tanjirou feels better after that, but part of him tells him that she's only saying that to make him happy.
Later, Mitsuri informs the others about Tanjirou's emotional distress caused by his current appearance that they all decide to show him how attractive they find him.
The omega ends up so exhausted the next morning (but very satisfied at the same time) that not only his insecurities are gone, but he also decides not to say that ever again because he's not sure he'll survive to sleep with them, one after the other, on the same night.
The only time he can do that is during his heat.
As weeks pass, he starts nesting more often, and he demands to have at least one of his alphas with him at all times, cuddling him. The first one to stay with him is Giyuu, constantly assuring him that they don't mind having Tanjirou bossing them around, that they'd happily do anything he wants. Still, when his hormones are not overwhelming him, the omega feels bad about it.
They take turns for the next couple of weeks, assuring him that they love to take a day off to spend time with him and their pup, even though they can't see them yet.
Kyojuro loves to feed him; he makes sure that Tanjirou eats enough for both and brings him all kinds of sweets and rare food. He's the one in charge to find something that can satisfy Tanjirou's odd food cravings.
One day, the omega falls asleep in the backyard, and when he wakes up, a few minutes later, he finds Kaburamaru and Obanai close to him. Both the serpent and the alpha are there to make sure he's alright, and when Tanjirou beams at the Pillar and asks him for a hug, Obanai doesn't hesitate to pull him into his arms.
Muichiro washes his head when the omega is too tired to do so, and he also makes sure to dry and brush Tanjirou's hair until it's completely smooth. The pregnant redhead appreciates those moments because he gets to relax and purr in delight, knowing one of his alphas is taking care of him so tenderly.
Other times, he starts crying out of nowhere; he's not sure why, but he can't stop until one of his alphas is with him. Gyomei usually places him in his lap and covers his body completely with his broad arms, the omega feels so safe, knowing that the stone hashira will make sure he and their pup are protected at all times, that his sobs calm down until they're just tears in his eyes.
Gyomei begins to kiss him on the top of his head then, whispering how much they all love him. He also tells him they all know Tanjirou is going to be such a good mommy and take care of their pups (because he's almost sure there's not only one in there) with so much love they'll all turn up to be very good children.
As Gyomei strokes the omega's huge belly gently, Tanjirou tells himself how lucky he's to have them all as his mates.
Their pups will grow up into a very loving and dedicated family.
He can't wait to meet them.
